Ask students what types of dance they know – elicit a list. Do they know the twist? 2. Play the song. Ask students how many times they hear the word Twist, including as part of a word. Key: 17 (including twisting – or twistin’ – and twister) 3. Divide the class into small groups and give each group a set of the cut up strips comprising the chorus. (Note: these are not in the correct order on the worksheet, so you may find it easier to just distribute this.) Ask them to order these, based on their knowledge of the song and the previous listening. 4. Feedback, then play the song – students sing and dance the twist! Complete lyrics: Come on everybody!
