PUBLIC NOTICESORDINARY COUNCIL MEETING WEDNESDAY 16 DECEMBER 2015

The next Ordinary Council Meeting will be held on Wednesday, 16 December 2015 at the Council Chambers, Burrawan Street, Port Macquarie commencing at 5:30pm.

Residents are welcome to attend all Council Meetings. Business Papers are available for inspection during office hours at Council Offices and Libraries from Monday, 14 December 2015. Alternatively, Business Papers are available from pmhc.nsw.gov.au/councilmeetings on Friday, 11 December 2015.

Addressing Council Meetings:

Residents can address Council on Agenda items or in the Public Forum for items not listed on the Agenda. You must complete the appropriate form to register your request to address Council. All requests to address Council must be received by Council no later than 4:30pm on the day prior to the Council meeting. Forms are available from:

Notice of Office Closures:

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council Port Macquarie, Laurieton and Wauchope offices will be closed from 12:00pm Friday, 11 December 2015 and will reopen at 8:30am Monday, 14 December 2015.

AUCTION OF IMPOUNDED MOTOR VEhICLES

Council will be holding an auction of abandoned motor vehicles and some of Council’s Plant Items at the Kingfisher Waste Depot, Kingfisher Road, Port Macquarie on Saturday, 12 December 2015. Viewing of the vehicles and plant items will commence at 11.00am with the auction commencing at 12.00 midday. All prospective buyers should register prior to the commencement of the auction.

Payment is required on the day of the auction – cash or cheque only. No EFTPOS facilities are available. All bids are considered to include GST.

The following motor vehicles have been impounded by Council in accordance with Section 16 of the Impounding Act, 1993 and will be offered for auction if not claimed beforehand by the owners. All enquiries phone Council Rangers on (02) 6581 8111.

FREE WASTE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

FOR MULTI-UNIT DWELLINGS

If you live in an apartment or unit block, you are invited to take part in a FREE Waste Assistance Program provided by Port Macquarie-Hastings Council, and conducted by local business Impact Environmental Consulting. The program helps residents find easy ways to increase recycling, reduce rubbish and make waste management run smoothly.

Four Simple Steps

1. Waste Assessment – an advisor will visit your complex and assess your needs

2. Action Plan – we’ll break down the steps needed to improve waste management

3. Implementation – we’ll work with residents and the Owners Corporation to put your plan in place

4. Follow-up Assessment – an advisor will return to measure improvements and provide further advice
