Looking for some fun science experiments to do during the holiday?
Whether you want to unleash your inner-maker or nurture the curious scientists in you, join our Science in the Making Club, where we take a look at blending science and Maker Space. This club will be filled with loads of hands-on activities where you get to construct like an engineer, investigate like a scientist and experience wondrous discoveries like an explorer! Extracting DNA from strawberries, making squishy circuits and creating your own D.I.Y. Dino Fossils are just some of the activities that await you!

Scratch is a coding platform that can be used to create all sorts of fun games and programs! The Coding Club will kick off with Scratch and launch into Stencyl. Using project based learning, this Coding Club is perfect for those that have never done coding before yet holds wondrous surprises for the more experienced coder as we use the scratch platform in a way you may have never considered.
Stencyl is a game development platform that is based off of Scratch. Using Stencyl we will be extending the knowledge and skills gained from Scratch to build real world game applications that you can take home.

On 3 December 1967 the world’s first heart transplant was performed by Dr Christiaan Barnard at the renowned Groote Schuur Hospital. Experience the drama of that night in the fully restored operating theatres where the surgery took place. A guided two hour tour describes this electrifying event. OPEN: 7 days a weekGuided tours begin at: 9:00, 11:00, 13:00 & 15:00After tour, visitors are free to browse at their own leisure.
Shoot a rocket to the moon, spin on the human gyroscope, build a house on the Concor Construction “kids-only” building site and challenge a friend to a game of chess. STATIC BUTTERFLY (Ages 6+ • Free)It’s spring time and butterflies are out and about. Make a cool movable butterfly while learning about static electricity and how it is used to move your butterfly. COLOUR YOUR FLOWERS WITH CHROMO (Ages 6+ • Free)Chromatography is the separation of mixtures. In this colourful workshop we will be separating colour mixtures and make some beautiful flowers for the springtime.
