Lessons From Naaman
“27: And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian” (Luke 4).
Lessons From Naaman
The account of the healing of Naaman the leper is recorded in 2 Kings 5. He was a great man, but a leper (v. 1). A “little maid” was an instrument (v. 2ff.). Naaman was “wroth” and refused (v. 11). Naaman wanted to tell Elisha how (v. 11). Naaman listened to his servants (v. 13).
Lessons From Naaman
Leprosy was one of the dread diseases: Loathsome (cp. Lev. 13: 1, 2). Contagious. Deceptive. Not inherited. Tendency to be progressive. Only cured by God (2 Kings 5: 7).

“20: Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. 21: The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ” (I Pet. 3).
