LESSON TWENTY: Accessing the Akashic Records  

  

Now the Initiate should realize that we’ve been accessing Akashic Knowledge all along, at progressive levels of complexity. However, as we explore our own personal astral spaces, most often we are accessing information we already consciously know, on some level, even if not consciously.  

 When we speak of accessing the Akashic Records, we’re generally referring to a process of accessing information that is currently unknown , or perhaps only vaguely understood.

UNCHARTED TERRITORY  This process can be deeply challenging for the ego, because the ability to access this limitless information that defies timespace threatens how it identifies itself and its place in the world. Entering these spaces without preparation and tools can lead to serious and long term discomfort as our world is effectively swiped out from under us.    Observing this ego shock is what’s led us to realize the process of accessing Akashic Knowledge as an Initiation. We must first face ourselves and begin to see how deeply our conditioning has limited us and our awareness, what we’ve allowed ourselves to be able to perceive. Only after taking this careful, honest, Heart-Centered look can we surrender into the trust required to access this inner wisdom.  This is the most private and subjective part of this course, and therefore could be exceedingly difficult to teach . Instead of instructing about technicalities, we’ve designed the entire course to provide tools, confidence, and the astral fluency to cultivate your own meaningful expression, experience, and relationship with Akasha .

That said, there are tools, techniques, and practices that can guide the Initiate towards greater understanding of this deep inner reality. The Akashic City and Library visualizations described in the previous lesson are examples of these, and the concepts introduced in this lesson build upon these ideas.  

  

TYPES OF EXPERIENCE  As conceptualized for this modality, Akashic Knowledge can be accessed in two generally distinct ways.  Reading. We usually begin to receive Akashic Information as, well, information. It may seem as if it’s coming to us from somewhere else, spoken by a guide, read from a book, beamed from a light ray, or anything else, but the information is presented to us in some form. This is a powerful experience which can reveal deep truths about the universe and ourselves, and each other, if we so choose.   Experiencing. The deeper level of Akashic Knowledge is experiential. We may experience events, as if in memories or even in present time awareness, as if they are happening to us. We are engaged with all of our senses, emotionally involved, and mentally present in another time and place, or with another personality in our bodies, equipped with different knowledge, skills, and memories from our own. This is the type of experience we have when we go through past life or ancestral regression or “channel in” other

beings. This is an extremely powerful and transformative experience most of the time, and requires great care and compassion to be done safely. However, as long as we maintain our Heart Centered Awareness and recall the techniques we’ve learned thus far, there is nothing to fear.  THE AKASHIC TOOLBOX  As mentioned, the Akashic Record experience is deeply personal and subjective, even though the Knowledge we receive is often objectively true; this is because we are creating an interface of sorts. This is the evolution of the Purpose Temple exercise; we are creating dynamic interfaces with the subconscious mind. To be effective, they must be consistent, symbolically meaningful, and emotionally relevant. The astral forms of these tools are less important than knowing how to use them.   For example, to some tranceworkers a representation of an ancient book as an Akashic Record might be very powerful, associated with feelings of timeless authority, wisdom, and depth. To others, this might be a stodgy, dry, boring thing. In this case, seeing an individual Record as a 

crystal or a file on a computer screen may resonate more deeply.  As important as symbolic association is, efficiency is paramount . We do not want to have to engage in laborious, complex journeys or rituals each time we access the Records. This may be required at first, which is why the Initiation process is designed to provide this initial “interface” with the intention of enabling the Initiate to develop their own, relatively quick and easy process. Once Initiation has occurred, though, “getting there” should be much easier.  Even the construct of a Library, which resonates heavily with many people as a place of wisdom and learning, may not be useful or necessary in all cases. We will see in future lessons how far beyond physical representation we can experience within the depths of Astral Space. For now, the important thing to understand is that the Library allows us to organize, query, and view the Records in an organized, easy to understand way. Any alternative interface that occurs should be at least as effective as the Library.

RECORDS AND THE RECORD  One important note on the terminology used from this lesson onward. When we speak of a singular Akashic Record, we are usually speaking of the record pertaining to a specific question, past life, ancestral connection, etc. When we speak of the Records, generally, we are speaking of all information available to all beings! So, by asking for a specific Record, we can narrow our “search results” considerably.  EXAMPLE AKASHIC LIBRARIES  As mentioned, we can receive ourunique version of “The Library,” and this can be an inspiring and enriching experience. There is no limit to what we can create as an interface for accessing Akashic Knowledge. Here are some ideas and common interfaces to serve as inspiration.:  Books, Scrolls, and Tablets . This is the classic interface for the Akashic Library. This type of interface works well for Tranceworkers who are fond of books, obviously, but also offers an easy organizational and retrieval system for Akashic Knowledge. A single book may stand for a single Record, or may be how all Records are accessed via an index or table of contents.  Crystals . Crystals are excellent information storage media, more durable and mystical than 

books. Using crystals as repositories of ancient knowledge seems to be second nature for human consciousness.  Names and Tones. Calling upon certain names, tones, and frequencies, intoned with the voice or even just spoken within astral space, can connect to certain “streams” of information, like tuning in to a radio station. In fact, this is one way controlled “channeling” can be achieved. The power of a god is the sound of its name.  Song and Mantra. An extension of chanting names and tones, using song or mantra to connect to a specific Akashic Knowledge stream can be very powerful and has ancient roots in human history.

Natural Elements. The use of natural elements, such as rocks, streams, trees, plants, water, and flowers, can bring a Tranceworker to a deeper connection with a serene, relaxed awareness from which Akashic Knowledge is easily available. Elements may represent individual Records, and the presence of natural forms can help us to open and receive.  Abstract Forms, Symbols, and Colors. Astral spaces do not require the presence of objects that resemble things in physical space. The use of abstraction can allow a Tranceworker to connect to the deeper symbolism of their inner Akashic Knowledge, without the need for logical representations. Many people experience their inner worlds primarily in color, shape, and sound, so it’s best to leverage this capability rather than to expend too much energy trying to force any visualization.   Computer Systems . Computers will be the most obvious way of connecting to any information for many people. Just like we can fit the entire Library of Congress on a smartphone, we can easily connect with all Akashic Records from a very simple, elegant interface. The use of “quantum 

holographic” computer systems is common for people of a technical bent.  Filing Systems . The simple filing cabinet is one of the most efficient and effective information management systems ever developed. Tranceworkers who are comfortable with this filing system find using it in astral space to be an intuitive process.  Guides and Librarians . Connecting with Guides, who are sometimes called Librarians when seen within the Akashic Library, can be highly effective and is often a natural experience. Many Tranceworkers find that they have guides who are able to provide information when asked, within any astral space.  Archetypes. Deepening into the guide experience, connecting with powerful archetypal energies, such as gods, goddesses, planets, Tarot cards, fictional characters, and so forth, can connect a Tranceworker very directly with powerful Akashic Knowledge streams.

Emotion . For those Tranceworkers who do not work with visual astral spaces, just keying into the subtle emotions that arise while focusing intention on retrieving an Akashic Record can be enough to open the stream.  Physiology . Similar to emotional reading, physical reading can be very powerful. The body holds all of the information of the AKashic Records within the DNA of each cell. Our Cellular Memory holds the experiences of our ancestors and past lives very closely. The same tools that allow us to release our traumatic experiences can allow us to dig deeply into the collective experience that is the Akashic Records.

LESSON 20 EXERCISE: Accessing the Akashic Records   In this exercise, we will attempt to retrieve some new Akashic Knowledge from our own Record.   Using the Recorded Guided Trancework Session may be helpful. This can be accessed via the Course Resources Page or in your Resource Bundle .  

  TRANCEWORK SCRIPT: ACCESSING YOUR PERSONAL RECORD  Find a nice, quiet place to relax. Allow yourself to slip into an easy state of trance.  When you’re ready, take yourself to your Safe Space. Allow yourself to relax and breathe deeply.  Take a moment to connect to your Higher Self.  

 Now, take some time to connect with your Lower self.   Spend some time there with both aspects of yourself, in your heart center. Send them both deep gratitude and love.

Now, connect with your guides. Allow them to be fully present there with you. Connect with them on a deep level, experiencing their loving guidance and compassion. Receive them with gratitude.  Now allow yourself to travel to the Akashic City. If you need to create a door to take you there, or just allow yourself to be transported to that Skeletal City beneath the ocean.  Spend some time exploring this city, this city that is made of you. What do the different parts of the body look like? Can you see a temple for each of your chakras?  Spend some time exploring the Root Chakra Temple. What does this place look like? Does it need some repairs or improvements? Take some deep breaths and allow yourself to send some extra care and attention to your Root Chakra Temple, the place that keeps you safe and connected to the Earth and all flowing abundance.  Now, move to the Temple of your Sacral Chakra, where the naval point of the city would be. What does this temple look like? What is its shape, its color, its texture? Allow yourself to be fully present 

there, just experiencing the power of your sexual, creative, expressive being. this is the source of your power, your growth, your vitality. How is this temple doing? Does it need some upkeep? Are any repairs or improvements in order? Allow yourself the time to make what changes you need to for this place to look the way you want.  Now move to your Solar Plexus Temple. This is the place where your inner child lives. Check in now with this being. How is your inner child doing? Do they feel at home here, empowered, heard, accepted? Spend some time now allowing yourself to make any changes improvements, or repairs to this place.  Now now move to your beautiful Heart Temple. This is the place that contains your deepest connection to all beings you love. This is your connection between your Higher and Lower Selves. Here you experience deep compassion for all beings. Spend some time here. What changes and improvements can be made? What repairs or adjustments might you need to make?   Take a breath now and move to your Throat Chakra Temple. See this place fully, the place

where you can articulate and express yourself. The place that connects body and mind. How does your Throat Chakra Temple look? Does it need any upkeep? Spend some time making any repairs you need to make here.  Now move to the Third Eye Chakra, in the skull. This will take you back into the Akashic Library. Swim down through the third eye to take yourself into this place of ancient wisdom and knowledge.  What does your library look like? Are there books, scrolls, tablets, crystals? Is it made of strange shapes and sounds and colors? Is it a computer system or files? Allow yourself to explore this place, experiencing and receiving it as it comes to you. This is the place where you can access all knowledge, all wisdom, and all information you may need to assist yourself and others to thrive and expand.  Take some time to explore this place. Feel its ancient wisdom and grandeur. Feel the sanctity of this place. Allow yourself to express gratitude for being here in this ancient place of power.  

Now it is time to ask a question of The Library. This can be about anything. Ask something you don't consciously know. Are you wondering about a health issue? Did something happened in your life that you would like more information about? Are you wondering about the nature of your connection to another person? The more specific the question, the more specific the answers you will receive.  Take your time to allow the answer to form in your mind. It may come as a simple statement. It may come as words or shapes or sounds. It may come as symbolic information. Allow it to come as it comes. Open yourself to receiving it.  Just allow it to come as it comes. It may or may not seem to make sense at first. Don't try too hard to interpret it. Just remember it. Allow the information to settle into your mind.  Now when you’re ready, leave the library and return to your Safe Space with the information you have gathered. Spend some time contemplating this knowledge. You now know something you did not know before. It may not seem to make sense

right now. That's okay. Allow yourself to receive this Akashic Knowledge.  Take your time with this information. Sit with it and see what meanings and interpretations arise. When you’re ready to awaken, you will do so to feel relaxed, at peace, and ready to face your day with joy and enthusiasm.
