II. LEAD–IN:

III. DEFINING RELATIVE CLAUSES

III.1 Explain the relative pronouns: (Ex. 2)

T: ask & answer to elicit pairs of sentences first (1-6), then add the correct relative pronouns.

1. Mr Quang is a teacher. He can do magic. Mr Quang is a teacher WHO can do magic.

2. Tam has 2 brothers. She loves them so much. Tam has 2 brothers WHO she loves so much.

3. She is wearing a T-shirt. It fits her body. She is wearing a T-shirt WHICH fits her body.

III.2 Ask Ss to read the text in Ex. 1 & answer the question: Who does Tommy Lynch work

for? (the travel company) and underline the relative pronouns that give the answer.
