Lesson 7 Goals What You Need To Know
Weekly Goals:
• I can tell someone how pictures help tell a story.
• I can discuss (tell someone about) and identify synonyms/antonyms.
Assessment Goals:
• I can choose the correct meaning of a word used in a sentence with my context clues!
• I can choose the synonym of a word correctly!
Assessment Goals Continued:
• I can choose the correct verb tense form from a list of choices and make corrections to verb tenses!
• I can use my text to answer comprehension questions!
Daily Goals: Monday
• Flex Time Assignment: 4 square (Topic: what are 4 ways to illustrate a story?)
• Discuss new spelling words/phonics rule• Read vocabulary cards• Read “What Do Illustrators Do?”• Review verbs• Talk about verb tenses
Daily Goals: Tuesday
• Flex Time Assignment: AR Time • Review Monday’s lesson• Read “Jack Draws A Bean Stalk”• Complete 1 or 2 rotations of Group Practice
Daily Goals: Wednesday
• Flex Time Assignment: Choose one illustration method and describe the steps in 5 sentences.
• Review Tuesday’s Lesson• Play “Your It”• Map 5 spelling words• Complete 2 or 3 rotations of Group Practice
Daily Goals: Thursday
• Flex Time Assignment: Grammar review/AR• Review “What Do Illustrators Do” and “Jack
Draws A Beanstalk”• Take Lesson 7 comprehension TEST• Take Lesson 7 spelling daily grade• Complete 2 or 3 rotations of Group Practice
Daily Goals: Friday
• Flex Time Assignment: Choose ANOTHER illustration method and write 5 sentences about it
