In Spanish, just as in English, we often associate things with the containers amounts in which they come.

Una bolsa de papas fritas. A bag of potato

chips. Un rollo de papel higiénico.

A roll of toilet paper. Un par de zapatos.

A pair of shoes. Un ramo de flores.

A bouquet of flowers.

A container may be vacío (empty), lleno (full), medio vacío (half empty), or medio lleno (half full).

Una botella media vacía. A half empty bottle.

El vaso está medio lleno. The glass is half full.

Tucker está lleno de…cacahuates. Tucker is full of…peanuts.

De is used before a noun to indicate what something is made of.

Tengo un plato de vidrio. A have a plate (made) of glass.
