Barn Owl Cottage“We were first attracted by how stunning the Grade II Listed thatched cottage was. It has so much character and style. The brilliant location was also another aspect that drew us to the property,” says Vivienne.

“The local village of Leintwardine is spectacular. There are many local amenities and facilities near by including a local butchers, garage, post office and newsagents. It has everything you could need just a short distance away. The area is also wonderful for going on long scenic walks and each time you can take a different route,” adds Vivienne. “Transport links are also easily accessible with a bus stop just down the road. For the nearest train station you can go to Ludlow which is approximately nine miles away.”

“Over the years of living at Barn Owl Cottage we have made a few improvements to both the cottage as well as the detached barn conversion annexe. The annexe has so many possibilities and could be used as a holiday home or extra accommodation for grandparents/guests to stay. It is a fantastic size and has been immaculately kept. My favourite room in the cottage would have to be the lounge because it is so cosy and warm in the winter due to the beautiful log burner fire. I am really going to miss the size of the house when we leave,” continues Vivienne.

“The garden is large and has a fish pond. It is a superb house for entertaining purposes because of the light that the property gets. The space of the rooms and the garden combined therefore create a brilliant social space for having family and friends over and for having barbecues in the summer. We have had many family celebrations where we have set up a marquee in the garden. It is also great at Christmas time for having all the family around.”

“Barn Owl Cottage will make the perfect home for any individual, retired couple or family. It will lend itself to what you want it to be. We have really appreciated living here over the years. It ticks all the correct boxes offering a brilliant location and friendly community with a light, spacious and comfortable cottage with annexe.”*
