Coach Education Courses Cricket Activator This course can be tailored to suit normally a 6 hour course (Kwik cricket, umpiring and scoring) 14 years or older people who want to help out at their local club or community in anyway Identify and understand the various volunteering roles within cricket or community clubs Promoting cricket and how to get more young people playing more often In order to gain a certificate from this course, they need to complete 10 volunteer hours and send this information back to Heather Beattie. Coach Support Worker 6 hours course and must be 16 years or older Supporting a qualified level 2 or above coach at their club They will learn how to create a safe, enjoyable and welcoming environment Learn about the importance of warm ups and cool down, as well as games to play Learners will need a DBS prior to the course. In order to be certificate for this course, they will need to complete their Safeguarding Young Cricketers e-learning module. ECB Certificate in Coaching Children’s Cricket 18 years or older, coaching ages 5-13 years old Leading coaching sessions for children and create a fun, player centred coaching environment 8x 3 hour face to face modules and e-learning Module 5 and Module 8 observed coaching, 6x supportive practice sessions, online multiple choice assessment Learners will need DBS prior to the course. To be certificated for this course learners need a First aid certificate and Safeguarding Young Cricketer (be deemed competent in module 8)

Coaching in Primary School

For coaches working with children that hold the ECB Certificate in Coaching Children’s Cricket or equivalent qualification and want to coach in Primary School

To help develop your confidence and equip you with the knowledge, understanding and applied skills to lead player-centred coaching sessions in primary schools and support school staff teaching cricket. 3 hours face to face module Multiple choice online assessment

Coaches must have a DBS, First Aid and SYC in date

Coaching in Secondary School

For coaches working with children that hold the ECB Certificate in Coaching Young People and Adults Cricket or equivalent qualification and want to coach in Secondary School.

To help develop your confidence and equip you with the knowledge, understanding and applied skills to lead player-centred coaching sessions in secondary schools and support school staff teaching cricket 3 hours face to face module Multiple choice online assessment

Coaches must have a DBS, First Aid and SYC in date

Coaching Children’s Cricket CPD

For coaches working with children that hold the ECB Certificate in Coaching Children’s Cricket or equivalent qualification

ECB Game Based Learning for Children will explore how coaches can design enjoyable, stimulating and appropriate scenarios that replicate the actual game.

ECB Creating the Learning Climate for Children considers the coach’s role in creating an environment that allows players to learn by solving problems and self-discovery.

ECB Skill Development for Children will allow coaches to create and share enjoyable groupbased skill development practices for children within a club environment.

Each workshop is 3 hours face to face module supported with e-learning

Coaching Young People and Adults Cricket CPD

For coaches working with young people or adults that hold the ECB certificate in Coaching Young People and Adults Cricket or equivalent qualification

ECB Performance and Video Analysis will explore and apply performance and video analysis in practice and competitive situations

ECB Training Interventions and Methods will allow coaches to create and share inspiring group based training interventions and methods for young people and adults within a club environment.

ECB Coaching Teams will explore in-season practices and the coach’s role before, during and after a game and the relationship with the captain.

Each workshop is 3 hours face to face module supported with e-learning

ECB Diploma in Coaching Children’s Cricket

For qualified coaches who have been on the CPD courses for children and will be coaching 6-12 years old

Must have DBS, First aid, SYC in date (run out every three years) This is run by the ECB not Leicestershire County Cricket Club

2 x six-hour and 1 x three-hour modules and e-learning. Assessed activities include player profiling, long-term planning, and four sessions of

applied coaching in your own coaching environment, a case study and a professional discussion.

ECB Diploma in Coaching Young People and Adults Cricket

For qualified coaches who have been on the CPD courses for Young People and Adults Cricket and will be coaching 13 years and older
