DataPoint keeps three disparate system in sync at all times. This allows Legacy or Modern Point of Sale systems to choose DataPoint so they can offer their merchants a complete payment and management system. Once the Merchant is connected to our platform, we immediately can process on any Payment Terminal and execute payment on any type of platform.

Speed up Payments

DataPoint allows for any restaurant or retail merchant using a Point of Sale system to immediately be up and running, EMV capable and compliant, and instantly taking Payments and also Orders. Our system allows for both traditional tip adjustments, and physical table side payments. The flow below shows the ‘pay at the table’ process.

DataPoint can be installed on any POS which we integrate with, typically in less than 1 hour. This allows the merchant to be immediately EMV compliant and reduce their PCI risk.

DataPoint is designed for Pay at the Table, Pay at the Counter, and Pay in the Field solutions. This product helps reduce operation time and assists in line-busting, order taking and is very simple to use!

The Pay at the Table or Drop at the Table process starts with the user entering their PIN or swiping their POS badge. DataPoint then displays a list of the user’s Tickets. The user selects a Ticket. The rest of the payment process depends on the flow the merchants sets up.

Speed up Payments

Our patented process allows the option to make payments independently of your current Point of Sale system. We take the Point of Sale terminal completely out of scope, thus enhancing operations by allowing the payment process to be done externally.

Example: Customer A gets to the cashier, the sale is entered and the customer is moved to the terminal for payment. The cashier can then start working on Customer B while Customer A is still in the payment process. Once Customer A is finished Customer B can move over and repeat the process. This methodology increases the operational flow of your business.

Below you fill find a flow diagram of a Quick Service process. The process is triggered with a Send button on the Point of Sale. The customer facing terminal will then display pages based on what you want your customer to see, at a minimum two (2) pages. Most payments can be processed in 5 seconds or less.

Tip Selection or Tip Adjustment

DataPoint can be configured to prompt a Tip Selection at the time of payment. The Tip Selection allows for the client to choose from four preset percentages, a Custom Tip amount, or No Tip. Statistically speaking, servers receive higher tips when the customer is faced with selecting a preset tip amount.

TIP SELECTION

DataPoint has built-in logic to allow for traditional folio presentation to the customer. A server will simply print the receipt, and bring it to the customer. The customer then offers their credit card and the server can process the credit card and return with a receipt. The customer can then enter their Tip. DataPoint will suspend the payment transaction until the server returns to the terminal and enters the Tip amount from the receipt. At that point DataPoint will submit the final payment amount, process the payment, and add the Tip to the Point of Sale system. Afterwards, DataPoint will automatically close out the check on the POS (if applicable).

Whether you would like to run a sale with traditional Tip Adjustment or you want to implement full pay-at-the-table service with Tip Selection, DataPoint offers solutions for both methods.

Our payment process allows the customer to select the method they would like to receive their receipt. In today’s world, having your receipt emailed or sent via text is a valued convenience that customers enjoy!

We allow the user to enter their email or phone number while asking their receipt preference. Unique to the Ultimate Payment Experience is the ability to store the relationship of the customer. This way, the next time the customer makes a payment they will be prompted for this receipt choice but will not be required to re-enter his email or mobile number.

Our method will expedite service and will simultaneously allow you to gather opt-in information from your customers. You can then use that information to promote new offers! You can also use this information to detect a customer that has not frequented and offer them incentives to come back.

DataPoint has built-in intelligence that analytically looks at the customer’s purchase. Using predefined rules, DataPoint can trigger an alert to the customer that the cashier and/or customer may have overlooked.

If the customer chooses an item, DataPoint will then print a note that the cashier can immediately see what must be completed to fulfill the request. DataPoint then updates the Point of Sale system, providing accurate reporting. The entire process is quick and seamless.

In addition, we can build in “upsell” advantages to entice the customer. For example, if the customer did not buy a related item, like a bag of chips with his sandwich, the system can prompt the customer that if he selects this item now, he can purchase it at a discount.

This logic can be turned on and off remotely and can also even be implemented to take place by time, date, region, type of order, etc. You choose!

While primarily designed to easily make quick and secure payments, order taking is seamlessly integrated into DataPoint. Based on its patented POS integration process, you can easily take full or partial orders, and use DataPoint for line-busting, anywhere and anytime!

Our solution allows the server to create a new order which duplicates itself into your Point of Sale system. The user sees the display with your menu, in the same logical order that they are used to seeing. The user can then take an order that is printed as a to-go order, and process as an in-house order.

The user can then settle the order on the line, take a full payment, all while processing it seamlessly, to the Point of Sale system.

This process allows your managers to better manage operations, and to help customers where it is needed most!

KioskVarious Options

Besides Payment Terminals, DataPoint has designed and created its own wall and counter-mounted consumer Kiosk. These Kiosks can be used for customer interaction, for ordering with payment, and even surveys.

If the DataPoint Kiosk is used for ordering, the user will be prompted with the same menu layout that you offer on your mobile or online ordering system. This creates consistency throughout all of your digital ordering systems.

Once the order is completed, DataPoint will create the order on your Point of Sale system as an in-house or to-go order, and prompt the service line to prepare the order, just like if it came in from any other mobile source. DataPoint can then either allow the user to process a payment on the Kiosk, or prompt the user to proceed to the cashier to initiate the payment process.

The customer can then pickup his expedited order, enhancing the overall experience.


WatchPoint

DataPoint in always innovating new processes that are easy to implement and use. We will soon be launching WatchPoint, which serves as an expeditor watch.

Compared to a tablet or a smartphone, a watch can be easily worn. We have integrated our watch into our PrepPoint solution. This solution allows a Point of Sale environment to alert a server of many different functions.

WatchPoint will be used primarily for the kitchen to communicate more efficiently with servers. The kitchen can inform servers that an order is ready for pickup, or call a server if there are any questions about an order. The server will receive a message on their WatchPoint watch alerting them. This will come in the form of a vibration on their hand, drawing their attention to the message. The server can then confirm that they received the message.

Our WatchPoint will be made available on the DataPoint Point of Sale solution, as well as other legacy systems.

Resort PayPoint

All of the POS terminals used by DataPoint support NFC communications, which has allowed us to create a Closed Loop payment solution for resorts and hotels.

During check-in to the resort property our NFC wristbands are enabled and linked to the person or group of people staying at the resort. Each band can be linked to a specific room or event.

Additional controls such as Parent and child can be enabled by the admin on the account. Spending and or access controls are set and then controlled by the platform, so that unauthorized access or purchased can not be made.
