Learning Matters Student Leaders Report Hello Everyone, It is your school captains writing to you for the last time. The last two weeks have been full on as we begin the end of term celebrations. Our Prep/One’s led us in a reflective and joyful celebration of our year and in particular, the joy, love, peace and hope that the Christmas spirit brings. We do hope that the Christmas spirit comes to you and your families too. look forward to your continued support for those doing it tough this year by your generous donations that we will be giving to the St Vincent De Paul Society. We will be continuing to collect donations at our carols night. Our Year Two’s have joined in the celebrations having a baby shower for Mrs Bird and her new baby, we wish her and her husband all the best. We know she will return for a short time in 2020 but this is the last time to say goodbye. Our Year 3?4's are also preparing to say goodbye to Miss Olivia. We know this is a sad time but we will always remember her helping us out in the science fair, our camps and so many other activities. We wish her luck on her journey to a new school. Our 3?4's have told us how much they will miss her. In 5/6 we have been buzzing around preparing for leadership in 2020 and our final goodbye. On that note, we would like to congratulate Elizabeth and Thomas on getting School Captain and Isabelle and Jack for getting the privilege of being the Vice Captains. Our final words now, on behalf of all the Year Sixes we would like to thank everyone for their support and compassion that they have shown towards us throughout our years ‘Growing with God’ at Saint Augustines. We hope that we continue living our school motto, ‘Make a Difference and Be the Difference,’ throughout our lives. It comes with happy sadness that it’s time for us to say our last goodbye. Student Leaders Report

Hello Everyone,

It is your school captains writing to you for the last time.

Thanks for the memories

On Tuesday the 3rd of December, We had our St Augustines Got Talent and it was a Huge Success. Jasmin Kotevski, Layla Hobson, Charlie Miller and Harry Callahan Were the X-Factor Host’s We were leading the whole X-Factor by adding a lot of fun to the show and excitement. For organising the day It was a long and exciting journey we first put a proposal to Mrs Steere many months ago and then we had to go about organising all the different parts of putting on an event like this.

We worked together to coordinate all of the acts, we had to make sure that we had the music to match each performance and that we ran the event on time so nobody was sitting still for too long.  Many students tried out at the auditions and unfortunately, not everyone could perform on the day. The students who worked hard on this event hope that you enjoyed it as much as they did and we would like to thanks all the teachers who helped us prepare and make the event happen. I hope that next year a number of the 5/6 students will take this on to run again as it really was a student-run event for the students. Remembering it is important to make a difference and be the difference you want to be.
