“The Sports Administration program at LCSC gave me a unique perspective of athletics that I’ve gotten to apply throughout my career starting as an equipment manager and now working in an athletic business office. Because the degree was a blend of kinesiology and business classes, I was given the tools to understand athletics as a big business and it now gives me opportunities for movement within an athletic department as well as outside organizations.” — Kelsey Oswalt, Business Operations Staff Assistant, Duke University Athletics (Sport Administration, 2011)
REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCEStudents in a Movement & Sport Sciences degree have internship opportunities in places like:
• High School/College/University Athletic Departments
• Physical Therapy Clinics
• Hospitals and Medical Centers
• Fitness Centers/Gyms
• Parks and Recreation Departments
• Boys & Girls Clubs
“Being a student at LCSC has more than prepared me for my new career as an assistant coach. Graduating with a degree in Exercise Science, the knowledge I have gained has been exceptional. The variety of classes and the knowledge that each different professor brings to each class is something I would believe hard to find at any other place. The atmosphere is wonderful and each professor truly gets to know their students and helps them in any way they possibly can. I am more than excited to begin my career as a basketball coach and I couldn’t have done it without the support and instruction from such a great department at LC.” — Caelyn Orlandi, LCSC Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach (Exercise Science, 2017)

“LC’s Senior Research project process helped me
immensely in the transition into doctorate research in
Physical Therapy school. The process of learning
statistics, getting IRB approval, recruiting subjects, collecting
data, and presenting the research made my
transition into my Capstone research much more
smooth and comfortable.” — Annie Kane,

“The best thing I loved about Sport Administration program at LCSC was that Sport Admin requires students to study both Kinesiology and Business courses. …Taking those courses and gaining various knowledge within the program enabled me to expand my understanding and deeply understand challenging concepts and practices in Sport Industry Management Master’s program at Georgetown University... Studying Sport Administration at LCSC will definitely prepare students to be leaders in the sports industry.” — Misun Won, Masters of Professional Studies Degree in Sport Industry Management from Georgetown University (Sport Administration, 2014)
