Our friendly staff know everything there is to know about the area, from the quietest fishing spots to the best activities for all the family.

From here you can board the Osprey Ferry* and blow off the cobwebs with a walk around our stunning 250-square-mile lake.

Our Explore Centre is packed with information about our incredible wildlife, fascinating history and all of the exciting things you can do while you’re here. The ‘living floor’ is great fun to walk across too – you’ll love the bird’s eye view of the park.

And if all of this fresh air is working up an appetite, it’s good to know our Café on the Water is just a stone’s throw away, as too is our shop in the Visitor Centre which is ideal for souvenirs, fishing tackle and outdoor wear.

oSpReY FeRRYWhat better way to take in the spectacular views of Kielder Water than on-board the Osprey Ferry? This 60-seater motor cruiser includes a shop, heated seating area, toilets and full commentary about this awe-inspiring part of the world.

You can board the Osprey Ferry at Leaplish, Tower Knowe and occasionally Belvedere. Please check with reception for the latest sailing times and to book tickets*.

KIeLDeR WATeR BIRDS oF pReY CeNTRe Discover one of the largest and most fascinating collections of birds of prey in the north of England, including eagles, hawks, falcons, kestrels, vultures, owls, kites and goshawks. As well as the beautiful birds on display, you can enjoy thrilling demonstrations, hawk walks, hunting days and falconry courses. Stop by reception to find out more.

pLAY GARDeNThis fabulous garden, which is great for big kids and little kids alike, includes state-of-the-art play equipment, superb landscape design and brightly patterned tower structures for everyone to enjoy.

LAKeSIDe WAYLeaplish Waterside Park is a great starting point to run, cycle or walk along the 26 miles of stunning native trails around Kielder Water’s shoreline.

SKATINGKielder is a great place to visit whatever the weather. Our synthetic skating rink* is a fantastic way to let off a bit of steam and take in the amazing views of the lake and forest.

With over 2,000 acres of water to explore, breathtaking scenery, and a fleet of 15 fully equipped motorboats, Kielder is a dream location for seasoned anglers and beginners alike.

Don’t worry if you’re completely new to fishing, you can pick up everything you need to get started at the Tower Knowe Visitor Centre, whether that’s for the whole shoal or just a day of peace and quiet for yourself.

Lakeside fishing is discounted for guests*, so visit reception for your discounted permit today. You can also book boats and pick up a fishing guide from reception. Bank fishing is also available.
