She began using visual facilitation to foster thoughtful conversations in organizations 20 years ago. As a lifelong learner and teacher, she has trained over 700 people to use big picture graphics to build shared understanding. Most recently, Tomi led the Fellows Program and developed curriculum for CORO Northern California, a leadership non- profit that trains high school students, young adults and career professionals. Prior to CORO, Tomi re-designed the Principals of Graphic Facilitation Workshop, led dozens of workshops and was a senior consultant and workshop director at The Grove Consultants International, where she worked for 25 years. Tomi is particularly interested in the intersection between personal, organizational and social change, and how we use our values to shape our lives. She brings this framework to her work mentoring people through professional and personal life transitions. Tomi draws on Shintaido (spiritual martial arts), visual facilitation and Voice Dialogue in her work with individuals and small groups.
