Lean Warehouse Management

1 PurposeThis configuration guide provides the information you need to set up the configuration of thisbuilding block manually.

If you do not want to configure manually and prefer an automated installation process usingthe SAP Best Practices Installation Assistant and other tools, refer to the SAP Best PracticesQuick Guide.

2 Preparation

2.1 PrerequisitesBefore you start installing this building block, you must install prerequisite building blocks. For more information, see the Building Block Prerequisite Matrix for Baseline. The matrix (anExcel file) is linked on the solution's DVD Web site in one of the following two locations:

3 Creation of Organizational Structure

3.1 Defining Control Parameters for WarehouseNumber 

Procedure

1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

SAP ECC Menu Enterprise Structure Definition Logistics Execution Define, Copy, Delete, Check warehouse number

2. On the Choose Activity popup, select with double click Define Warehouse Number .

3. On the Change View “Define Warehouse number”: Overview  screen, choose New entries and enter the values shown below:

4.1 Defining Control Parameters for WarehouseNumber 

A warehouse number is an organizational unit in logistics that represents the company fromthe warehouse management view.

In the Warehouse Management System (WMS), you can define various control parameters atthe warehouse number level.

Procedure

1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

4.2 Spool Parameters for Transfer Order Printing

In this section, you set the configuration data for print control.

Using the print control function, for example, you can define which documents (that is, for transfer orders) are to be printed for goods movements, how these documents are to beprinted (that is, which forms are to be used, how many copies are to be printed), on whichprinter a document is to be printed automatically.

Procedure

1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

4.5 Print Program per Warehouse Number 

In this section, you set the configuration data for print control.

Using the print control function, for example, you can define which documents (that is, for transfer orders) are to be printed for goods movements, how these documents are to beprinted (that is, which forms are to be used, how many copies are to be printed), on whichprinter a document is to be printed automatically.

Procedure

Condition Records

Use

In this activity, you activate automatic transfer order creation by creating a delivery.

Procedure

1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

2. On the Create Output – Condition Records: Shipping screen, enter the following entriesand choose Enter :
