Throughout the world CIPS qualifications are recognised as the drivers of leading-edge thinking and professionalism in procurement and supply management.

We offer qualifications to support individuals’ professional development in procurement and supply. On successful completion of the Professional Diploma, and in conjunction with three years’ experience in a role of responsibility in procurement and supply, individuals may apply for our full MCIPS membership grade.• Entitles individuals to use the MCIPS post

nominals after their name• The Professional Licence (MCIPS), signifying high

achievement and an ongoing commitment to excellence

• Denotes an individual’s worth and provides distinction in a competitive, cluttered talent marketplace

• Allows professionals to command a premium in terms of rewards and benefits

MCIPS MEMBERS

Chartered Status demonstrates professionalism and commitment operating with integrity and ethical awareness at the highest levels. It signifies an individual’s seniority, their understanding of global business needs and global supply complexities, and their knowledge, technical skills and ability to deliver added value, strong leadership and strategic influence. Professionals who hold this status are qualified to a postgraduate diploma level and the most sought-after talent. Seen as those who will take the profession beyond its current boundaries and demonstrate up-to-date knowledge. All MCIPS and FCIPS members are eligible to apply.

CIPS for the profession

For the public goodCIPS is working closely with the World Bank to drive procurement reform and professional standards. We have also worked extensively in Bangladesh and Bhutan in a complete overhaul of government procurement, including training to achieve MCIPS standard and assist national development.

The CIPS Foundation is a registered charity set up to help anyone, anywhere in the world, who struggles to get into or get on in the procurement profession, whether through great hardship, serious illness, political unrest or discrimination. The Foundation is linked to CIPS, which donates up to 25% of its net surplus to the charity. We also encourage our members to donate and get involved.
