A YEAR OF TRANSITION

• Characterized only by change…

• Said good-bye to Fr. Scott

• Departed from our old Campus Ministry Center

• Welcomed Fr. Ben as our first full-time Priest/Director

• Finally we entered into our new Catholic Center in 2014

REALIZATION OF NEEDS:

With a new building come different types of needs

• Administrative

• Liturgical

Need for growth in three key areas:

• Evangelization Outreach on campus

• Faith Formation

• Service Opportunities

Page 4: Leadership Outline. A YEAR OF TRANSITION Characterized only by change… Said good-bye to Fr. Scott Departed from our old Campus Ministry Center Welcomed

RESULT OF REFLECTION

Rethinking of our organization structure

• Focus our current efforts

• Provide for our new needs

Nota Bene:

• Not a result of this year’s performance of any group or individual

• Structure has been evaluated by the staff to work with a clear intention

• The duties of some committees have been reevaluated and others have been reorganized as new opportunities to serve.

CATEGORIES OF LEADERSHIP POSITIONS

CCM as an RSO (Registered Student Organization with Campus)

• Includes Executive Board and Committees

• Only one position can be held at a time

• Most developed category because it is the one we have already grown

Duties particular to the Catholic Center

• Tied to Administrative and Liturgical duties of the Center

• We will be developing this area of leadership more as we grow into the space

Peer Leadership Opportunities

• Both these and Catholic Center positions may be held in conjunction with an RSO position.

EXECUTIVE BOARD

Made up of the elected officers of Catholic Campus Ministry as a Registered Student Organization at UCF.

Purpose: To lead and support Catholic Campus Ministry’s outreach onto the UCF Campus.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain an official relationship with UCF via its RSO status.

• Spearhead the outreach onto the UCF campus through various evangelization opportunities. (Welcome week events, weekly tabling, New Student “dorm” visits)

• Plan and host weekly Knight Fires

• Responsibilities particular to each office can be found in the office descriptions.

What has changed: A greater focus on outreach rather than the inner workings of the ministry as a whole. While the E-Board will still be an important point of contact for committees in reference to schedule planning, especially when it comes to space on campus, committees will no longer “report” to the E-Board, they will each have a staff member to plan with.
