THE LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCEThe Core Program consists of eleven day-long seminar sessions from September through June. Meetings generally consist of half-day immersion in a civic topic, followed by an afternoon of leadership or trustee skills development. Participants receive assessments and personal individual skills development plans.

Each meeting and speaker is evaluated to ensure that LEADERSHIP is meeting the group’s needs. Assessment tools, feedback, and experiential training enrich the experience.

Qualified candidates are seasoned individuals with leadership skills and a drive to take responsibility for improving the quality of life in the region. Over half of the class has earned MBAs or MAs and over a quarter of the class members hold JD or PhD credentials. Each nominee should be prominent within their organization, have a sponsor’s personal endorsement, be prepared to commit time to participate in the program, and intend to stay in the region. Admission is competitive.

The Connectors & Keepers Program is part of LEADERSHIP’s ongoing commitment to identify and retain inspiring young leadership. This invitation-only program is a year-long, bi-monthly seminar series intended to deepen millennials’ connections to the community, enhance their leadership and connecting skills, and identify ways to contribute their talents to the City.

Pay It Forward. We take action to increase civic engagement by using the principles of Pay It Forward. Go to www.LeadershipPhiladelphia.org and click on Programs, Special Projects for stories.
