Mechanical Disassemblies (CE32LM4WPR-E)1. Check points before disassembly
Check the location of tamper proof marking (Fig-1)If the marks are removed or touched, somebody may have already disassembled the set. This makes the warranty regarding this IP model invalid.
After finishing the service, make the set tamper proof again with silver paint.
2. Rear Plate Removal
Remove screws A (6 pcs), then remove the Terminal Cover (Fig-2)
Remove screws B (4 pcs), then remove the AV Terminal (Fig-3)Remove screws D (12 pcs) - (Fig-6)Remove screw C (Fig-5), then remove the Rear Plate.Remove antenna lead either at Rear AV or PCB connector.

The TV control commands are used to control a TV through RS232C from a computer.Serial Interface SpecificationTransfer Specification1. Transmission Speed : initial setting value is 192002. Transmission speed can be changed by service mode (hotel mode)
ConnectionThe designated RS232C serial cable that is provided with the LCD monitor must be used for a connection between a computer and a LCD monitor
The TV command is defined by one command / one line that starts with “C” and ends with carriage return (0x0D)There are two types of commands:1. Functional Execution Commands e.g. Co5[CR] (see table on following page)2. Status Read Commands e.g. “CR0 [CR] (see table on following page)
Setting the monitor address in RS232 modeTo access hotel mode press the green button on the remote control and hold for 5 seconds. The following screen will appear
Each monitor can have a specific address e.g. 007 which helps command that monitor individually and will not affect other monitors connected toa controlling pc.
Address format commandThe adressing format command is used for operating multiple monitor sets from a single pc via the RS232 command line. If you set your monitoraddress to ‘000’ it will never respond to any addressing command from the pc. If the address from the pc is ‘FFF’, all monitor sets will execute thecommand. The address format command is defined by one command, one line which starts with ‘A’ and ends with carriage return (0x0D). An address isadded at the top of a control command.Example:Functional execution command: “A001C05” [CR] means the address is 001 and the control command is C05Status read command: “A001CR0” [CR] means the address is 001 and the command is CR0
The monitor can set its own address in the hotel option (see above). The address range is 000 - 999, the default address will be 000.The baud rate indicates the unit transfer speed of data from the pc the the monitor sets.

IC Descriptions for UK4BIC1110This is a switching IC, NJM2233BM, which allows the sync signal input on monitor sets to be switched between pin20 of SCART 1 (conventional) and pin 14 of SCART 1 (SIS signal). The IC takes a 5V supply and is switched by thecontrol line SIS.
IC1205This a ROHM BA7603F triple video switch which allows the RGB input to be switched between SCART 1 andSCART 2. The switch is controlled by the RGB_SW line from the IC.
IC1271This a large multiway electronic switch, MM1631BJBE. Via the I2C lines the cpu can select any audio input L/R pairand feed them to scart 3 or IC801.
IC151BA2904F - this is an OP-AMP used to amplify the AGC voltage back to IC801.
IC1801/1802PCA9534PW - These are I2C expander IC’s. They convert I2C commands from IC801 into control lines.
IC1841/1851These are OP-AMPS used to control the speed of the fans
IC2002/20036db AMP/BUFFERS that compensate for internal loss in the YPbPr / RGB / HV loop.
IC2006RS232 to 5v decoder / encoder. It converts the RS232 signal from K2008 into a TTL signal that can be understoodby the CPU IC2010
IC2007 / 8 / 115v to 3.3v logic conversion for the CPU IC2010
IC2009Reset pulse generator for the CPU IC2010
IC2010CPU with internal program flash memory. The software version programmed into this device can be found in the service menu. The RS232 data is converted into I2C data by this CPU and fed to the main CPU via KCPA.All RS232 protocol are generated by this IC.
IC2012This is a 5v regulator.
IC4001This is a SST SST39VF020 CMOS multi-purpose flash with a capacity of 2Mbits. It is connected to the LOC usingaddress lines, data input/output, write enable and control lines. The flash IC is powered by the 3V3 SW supply.
IC4002This is a ROHM BD5260G open drain voltage detector IC which works in conjunction with the main power and the3.3V standby line to control the back lights.
IC601This is a “current mode PFC controller” operating in transition mode. It is used in conjunction with L603 as activepower phase correction.
-19-N4HME
IC Descriptions for UK4B (continued)IC6600This is an LA5754 voltage regulator. It provides the 12v supply for the LCD panel.
IC6601This is a BA33BC0FP voltage regulator. It converts the 5v standby supply to 3.3v.
IC6602This is a BA09FP-E2 voltage regulator. It converts 13v to 9v.
IC6603This is a BA12FP-E2 12v voltage regulator. It converts the main 13v supply down to 12v for the fan.
IC6604This is a LA5754MP voltage regulator. This IC converts the main 13v supply down to 6v. IC801 can switch this IC onand off via control line “Power 1”. Consequently all supplies developed from this 6v will also be switched (see powerarchitecture diagram on page 8)
IC6605 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 / 10These are voltage regulators which convert the switched 6v supply down to 5v, 3.3v and 1.8v.
IC6613This is a TC7SH02 2-INPUT NOR GATE. This IC controls the 5v power to the LCD panel. It is switched via controllines “Power 4” and “Panel on”.
IC701This is a THC63LVDM83R LVDS converter IC. This IC converts 3 sets of 8 bit data (R, G & B) into 4 channel andclock data stream to the LCD panel.
IC8001This is a HDMI receiver / convertor. HDMI data from K1006 is fed into this IC. The IC then extracts the video andaudio in digital format and sends the data to IC801. Audio data is converted to analogue via IC8501
IC801This IC is the main control IC for the entire TV. It incorporates:-1) CPU for control and on-screen graphics presentation.2) Video signal processor for controlling picture presentation and quality.3) LCD scaler for converting different resolutions to the resolution of the LCD.4) 100 page text decoder.5) Stereo sound decoder.6) Multi-system decoder (PAL, NTSC, SECAM etc.)
IC802This is an 8K x 8 bit EEProm. It is used to store all the calibration data and user settings. When a new IC is fitted, the CPU (IC801) will detect it and initialise the IC to the default factory settings.
IC8131This is a 512 x 8 bit EEProm. It is used to store the resolutions that the tv is able to display along with the manufacturer, date of manufacture and model number. An external device (eg DVD) with HDMI will read thisEEProm to determine which resolution signal to send to the tv.
IC8141This is an I2C isolation device
IC8501This is a digital to analogue converter. It is used to convert the HDMI digital audio data to analogue.
IC8502This is a dual OP-AMP and is used to bufffer the HDMI analogue signal to the audio selector IC (IC1271)
