As a trainee in IMA you get the opportunity to work on a variety of internal market cases throughout the legal process, conduct research, attend external meetings and more. At CSA, officers of legal and economic expertise work with either State Aid or Competition. The Author- ity enforces EEA Competition rules to ensure effective competition within the area and enforces the general prohibition of State Aid. As a CSA trainee you get to work closely with case handlers, research legislation, attend external meetings and more. LEA’s role is to provide legal advice to other de- partments, to ensure a harmonised approach to case decisions and conduct litigation on behalf of ESA before the ECJ and EFTA Court. The LEA trainee gets to assist with litigation for cases, handle public access requests, conduct research, attend external meetings etc. The Press and Information trainee is an assistant to the Press Officer within LEA, working on everything from press releases and media monitoring to presenta- tions and public access requests. “I obtained essential knowledge about the communication field. • University degree in a relevant discipline, primarily in law but also economics and social sciences such as political science and communication.

The EFTA Surveillance Authority’s main role is to safeguard the EEA agreement, thereby

enabling Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein to participate in the European Internal Market.
