• Hot temperatures today with heat index values between 100 and 104 degrees.

• Temperatures will decrease for the middle of the week with afternoon shower and thunderstorm chances increasing.

• Best rainfall chances will be on Wednesday and Thursday.

• Severe weather is not expected during the week.

• Rip current risk will increase from low today to moderate by the middle of the week.

• Weakening high pressure over the area today will keep most of the region dry.

• The only rainfall potential will be for an isolated shower along the sea breeze this afternoon.

• Weakening high pressure will allow a weak surface trough into the area.

• The trough will help generate afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.

Rip current risk is low today but will increase to moderate on Wednesday and Thursday as long period swells reach area.

Although unlikely, it is possible a high rip current risk could be needed midweek.
