The existing building consists of a derelict mill building adjoining a residential stone cottage within a conservation area. The existing building is Grade II listed set within a rural area.

The project consisted of the refurbishment of the existing mill building which had become derelict and structurally unstable. The works comprised the full renovation of the structure including structural repair works to the stone walls to stabilize the structure and the re-covering and extensive roof frame and wall repairs and internal refurbishment of the building including maintenance and repair to the original mill mechanism.

The works were carried out using traditional materials to ensure the caricature and authenticity of the building was retained suitable to its listed status. The works were carried out to an exacting standard with traditional construction methods utilised.
