People: We have fallen. Leader: We are broken. People: We are fearful. Leader: We desire God’s forgiveness, People: We trust God’s mercy. Leader: We accept God’s grace. People: We are restored by God’s healing love. Leader: God’s grace empowers us to throw down our stones of condemnation and judgment, People: And to pray for others to experience the same forgiving love and grace that has transformed our lives in Christ.

A Time for Silence and Confession The Morning Prayer The Offertory Moment Were the whole realm of nature mine, That were a present far too small, Love so amazing, so divine, Demands my soul, my life, my all!

CONVERSATION — GOD SPEAKS, WE RESPOND Scripture Reading ………………………………………………………... John 8:1-11 Special Music — “Forgiven” ………………………………... Blankenship-Red Sermon — “The Sound of Dropping Rocks”

Lenten Sermon Series — Meeting Jesus in John Hymn of Commitment — “Forgive Our Sins as We Forgive” No. 694 Forgive our sins as we forgive, You taught us Lord, to pray, But You alone can grant us grace to live the words we say. How can Your pardon reach and bless the unforgiving heart, That broods on wrongs and will not let old bitterness depart? In blazing light Your cross reveals the truth we dimly knew; What trivial debts are owed to us, how great our debt to You! Lord, cleanse the depths within our souls, and bid resentment cease; Then bound to all in bonds of love, our lives will spread Your peace.

LIFE TOGETHER/LIFE APART This is Sunday III of our altered lifestyles due to the COVID-19 disease and Sunday V in Lent. As I write this on Wednesday, our hope is to continue to live stream our worship from the Sanctuary this week. Thank you for your responses of appreciation and affirmation for this ministry. We try to show you the Sanctuary so that you can visually see a place important to so many of you, hoping that you can almost feel like you are there. Please know how much you are missed! Phone calls, emails, visual contact through Zoom or Face Time and texts are keeping us in touch with one another. We are certainly praying for one another. As Wake County asks us to stay at home, we are trying to act responsibly — our food pantry is an important ministry along with our reaching out through media. Perhaps we will be able to keep the office open on a more limited basis to keep the food ministry moving forward. But we want all of our members to be safe. Please try to stay home as much as you can. Call on us if you have things that someone can pick up for you, and we will try to match your need with a willing volunteer.

Your information is secure with this option.

If you have online banking, you can set up your contribution as a bill pay.

You can always mail your check to us. We are working and will be checking the mail daily. Please mail to: ZBC, P. O. Box 366, Zebulon, NC 27597

STAYING CONNECTED THIS WEEK What are some things you can be doing as a ZBC member this week? First of all, follow the guidelines and comply with the mandates — we want you to stay safe and well. Take care of yourself and your family. Second, pray for your church, our leaders, and for everyone. Please do not lose faith in the value of fervent prayer asking God’s help in this health crisis. Third, resolve to be helpful. This is no time for bashing leaders, complaining, and being self-centered. Fourth, affirm and encourage peo-ple who need it. Let that health care professional know you appreciate them. Let someone taking a hard economic hit know that you are sorry. Appreciate the sacrifice being made by young people who are missing important things in their lives for the greater good of others and let them know how deeply sorry you are and how much you admire their sacrifice. Contact the elderly and lonely and sick and find out how you can help them and then do it. Visit myzbc.com regularly for connection to the church and worship with us via the live stream. There will be blogs to read, bits of inspiration and encouragement, links to information, ideas for spiritual formation, and opportunities to serve. We are grateful to our staff for providing creative ways to stay in touch and to find inspiration for all ages of our church family.
