With its casinos, gambling halls, and clubs, Las Vegas is a tourism-based city with much to offer its many guests. It’s as much a king-maker as it is a black hole for small fortunes, and that kind of risk and potential gain lure millions from across the world. AT T R A C T I O N SLas Vegas is a town with a unique history, also referred to as “Sin City.” With its wacky background comes a unique variety of tourism experiences, from mob museums to rooftop roller coasters.

The Fremont Street Experience

• Fremont Street was once the home of historical Las Vegas’s most prominent casinos and gambling halls. Now renovated and updated, Fremont Street has become a colorful tourist destination known for its neon lights, gift shops, and performances. You can even take a zipline out of a giant slot machine.

The High Roller

• Located at 3545 Las Vegas Blvd, the High Roller stands at 550 feet in height, making it the largest observation wheel in the World. Take a ride in one of the cabins and check out outstanding views of the city from above.

Stratosphere Tower

• Located at 2000 Las Vegas Blvd is the Stratosphere Tower. You can check out views of the city from the observation deck or try out a series of amusement park rides on top of the tower. This is not the place to be if you have a fear of heights!

The Mob Museum

• An authentic historical view on organized crime in Las Vegas. The museum has a mission of helping to advance public understanding of the history of organized crime in America and its impact on American society. The museum is located at 300 Stewart Ave.

The Neon Museum

• Take a tour of historical Las Vegas through its preserved neon signs, rescued from former clubs, casinos, hotels, and other businesses. The museum, founded in 1996 is dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and preserving Las Vegas’s rich history through the power of neon. The museum is located at 770 Las Vegas Blvd North.

T R A V E L T I P S• Did you know that the Las Vegas Strip is not actually in Las Vegas? Most of the parts of “Las Vegas” that come to mind are actually in a separate unincorporated town called “Paradise.” The town, in very close proximity to the actual Las Vegas was created in order to avoid taxes paid to Las Vegas.

• Keep your eye out for the weather and dress accordingly. Las Vegas is situated in the middle of the Mojave Desert. While it gets very hot in the summer, it can get very cold at night, especially during the winters. If you are traveling during the summer, make sure to wear sunscreen at all times.

• Don’t gamble unless you have money. The colorful lights and sounds of the slot machines can be mesmerizing. Remember, your chances of winning are slim. Don’t get sucked in and blow all of your cash.
