40 years of the IWA & OutdoorClassics success story in Nuremberg

The national product show for the retail gun trade and gunsmiths opened its doors in Nuremberg for the first time in 1973 with just under 100 exhibitors. The international name IWA & OutdoorClassics is due to the rapidly increased importance beyond the borders of Germany and the multi-theme range of products, which covers the spectrum between traditional craftsmanship and innovative ideas for outdoor equipment, functional clothing, hunting sports and shooting sports. In the 40th year of its existence, IWA & OutdoorClassics 2013 presents a more attractive, more colourful and more comprehensive event that is a must for trade and industry.

SebSeb : « I will simply say that the upgrades and inno-vations to this new machine will make a big row in the clay-shooting community. I cannot tell any more. »

backs from our representatives and the Laporte after-sales department too. Our thinking process is traditional enough. A Laporte machine needs to last. Do you know that we refurbish 30-year old machines? . »

Editor :Editor : « Traditional, what do you mean?

SebSeb : « I am working with the last 3D design to-ols. We have a test laboratory, we consult the best suppliers and our testing procedures are the most binding on the market. For example, we have some machines tested in live firing on test bench on a 24 hour/7 day basis. Firing every 4 second! When I say “traditional”, I am talking about our industrial inheritance. The way of thinking which made, I think, the success of our firm. Today, sa-vings through disposals are thought. This is not our position. My customer is not only the user of the machine, the club but also my installer and my colleagues from the after-sales service, including our technicians all over the world.We have many contacts here and the feedbacks help us. This is a part of the story of the unbrea-kable arm.

Seb :Seb : «The arms of the majority of our machines are unbreakable because this is a part which is more subject to poor handling than to the risks of the normal use of the machine.A clay does not weigh more than 110 grams! Poor handling such as a forgotten pole too close to the machine when the trajectory is settled, the bad habit to put the clay box on the arm while loading the machine or the simple handling of the machine when lifted by the arm. This is the expe-rience. We have understood that the savings about the material have the risk of compromising not the normal operation of the machine but its daily use regardless of the conditions. Break an arm just before a competition is the nightmare of any organizer. Our motto: Professional material for profes-sionals ! »

Possibility of direct triggering of any double by pressing both buttons

Low level of consumption of the transmitter allowing a very big autonomy in the range of 300,000 triggers with the same batteries (alkaline batteries 1.5V – LR03).

A red light comes on for the control and will become green and flash to inform about the need to replace batteries (the operation is still possible but with a limited range).

The life here is a little like this… There are, only at the Headquarters, discussions in English, Italian, Russian, Spanish, German, which come from the offices of the export team, the after-sales depart-ment…Nearly 10 languages are crossing on a daily ba-sis. For the new entrant, it is confusing enough. A French discussion suddenly switches to English because one of our distributors is calling. We are talking about catalogues and price lists but which of them? In Pounds, in Dollars or in Euros?

At Laporte, we think and we work worldwide. Ma-chines are sent to Mongolia, a distributor needs to be helped in Thailand, a competition in Rio. Our job makes us travel.

Beyond the anecdote, this daily exercise develops a natural tendency to be curious and try and un-derstand the others. It is sometimes complicated to gather the amount of data collected by everyone but when our aims are reached, all a team wins, the firm wins and finally our customers win too.Our marketing actions will increase, just as this newsletter. This is the will of all a team moving forward.
