    * Questions understood but difficult or impossible to answer

Thats a difficult question to answer in a few words I dont think Im the right person to answer that. Perhaps Mr. (-) can help Im afraid I cant give you a full answer right now

If you dont mind, Ill look into it and get back to you later.

Id be happy to get back to you later.

    *Questions understood & relevant

    - Repeat/ report questions- Paraphrase questions

    + Use introductory phrases

+ Make the question less personal (avoid the repetition ofI, you, we)

+ Make the question less negative (replace negative vocabulary)

    Example:

Did you do any market research ? The question is about market research.

When did you discover this strategy was a disaster? So you are asking when we

knew this strategy wasnt working as well as expected.

How expensive is it? So you would like to know our pricing strategy?

Do you think that your figures are accurate? You would like to know the

    methodology we used ?

    - Answer the questions neutrally and non-defensively- Check that your answer is sufficient
