April has been an amazing month at Langley Fundamental Middle and Secondary School. On April 1st we held our Grade 6 and 7
public speaking finals in our multi-purpose room. Congratulations to all of our Grade 6 and 7 finalists and Charlotte Lee (Grade 6) and Nash Graham (Grade 7) who represented our school at the School District Speech Fest on April 8th. On April 3rd a group of students from Thailand joined us for a four week English immersion experience. Special thanks to our students,
staff, parents and community for hosting our Thai guests. On April 7th I had the privilege of attending the annual Township of Langley Voluntary Appreciation Awards evening. Congratulations to Grade 12 student Alix Way who was our school’s nomination for the Pete Swensson Outstanding Community Youth Award. On April 12th our Music department presented an evening program, “Music in the Movies.” M. Rempel “Home and School Working Together”

Annual Athletic Banquet June 2016 (Date TBA) Calling all TITAN parents, athletes and coaches (Grade 8 - 12) who are looking forward to our annual Athletic Banquet, please let us know how you’d like to help with the event. Save the date! On Saturday May 7, Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is exciting to host our fourth annual Science Rendezvous at the Langley campus! KPU Langley will be transformed into a spectacular community science experience where the public will get a chance to participate in hands-on experiments, walk through interactive science labs, watch a demonstration of the high-tech patient simulators in our nursing labs and take a tour of our brand new state-of-the-art brewing lab! Science World, along with many other local organizations, will be here with fun kid-friendly activities to enjoy! The event is an annual day-long festival spanning multiple simultaneous sites across the country, designed to bring science face-to-face with the public and encourage more youth to consider science and engineering-related careers and study paths.
