OVERVIEW
Langan specifically provided a multi-disciplinary team to assist in the development of the sustainable master plan
for the 130‚000 sq m site. The centerpiece of the development will be a large central amenity building at the end
of a heavily landscaped wide-well pedestrian path. The central amenity building and path will be surrounded by
several large swimming pools and varying densities of residential housing. The entire site combines high-level
security with a resort quality ambiance. Given the project's high standard for sustainability Langan's LEED
accredited professionals coordinated grey and black water treatment systems with the irrigation water system to
provide the most efficient use of water possible.

OVERVIEW
Regarded as a cross between Copenhagen-style residential courtyards and a New York City skyscraper‚ this
mixed-use‚ 38-story residential building in Midtown West includes 709 residential units and ground floor retail
space. A massive outdoor courtyard‚ cut into the center of the building‚ adds to the structure's unique pyramid-like
shape. Langan performed extensive geotechnical and site/civil work including design of a bioswale; in addition‚
Langan produced a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan.

Langan provided a full range of design and engineering services for the construction of two 48-story residential
towers at the core of Jersey City's Colgate Waterfront Redevelopment Area. This joint venture development

OVERVIEW
Langan engineers provided site/civil‚ geotechnical‚ and environmental services for this condominium tower
featuring dramatic‚ cantilevered terraces. It will be Architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron's first
high-rise commission anywhere in the world. The site‚ a 125-ft-wide by 100-ft-deep rectangular parcel in Tribeca‚
consists of two adjoined lots previously occupied by the former New York Law School (NYLS) library building. The
proposed building will consist of a 60-story residential high-rise tower with a single cellar level.

OVERVIEW
Langan was retained to oversee and supervise the removal of two unknown underground fuel oil storage tanks
during site development. A characterization investigation followed and a total of 1‚373.59-tons of
petroleum-contaminated soils were excavated from the site and transported off-site for disposal. Langan is also
conducting the monthly testing and monitoring of the on-site dewatering system that was installed after the site
investigation.
1000 MUSEUM

OVERVIEW
1000 Museum will be the first high-rise building in the Western Hemisphere designed by Pritzker Award winner
Zaha Hadid. This ultra-luxury residential building will rise 62-stories and ultimately stand out amongst its
neighbors at 710- feet-tall. The project fronts historic U.S. Highway 1 in the heart of Downtown Miami. Former
uses of the site included a gas station and a pawn shop. Langan provided geotechnical and environmental
services in support of the project.

OVERVIEW
Langan provided geotechnical‚ traffic and evironmental engineering‚ survey and construction oversight services
for the development of this new‚ 16-story apartment building with 270 units - a 434‚000 SF expansion to the
existing Museum Towers apartment building located in the Logan Square neighborhood of Philadelphia. The new
construction also included a four level parking garage and two rows of townhome structures in addition to
improvements to the neighboring Matthais Baldwin Park and signalization upgrades at the two intersections along
Spring Garden Street.

OVERVIEW
The five star Turnberry Place development in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip consists of four 40-story
condominium towers and an expansive club facility. The size of the structures‚ the sequencing of construction‚
and depressed parking levels created specific geotechnical and construction challenges.

OVERVIEW
Silvery Towers is a residential development in downtown San Jose. The project features two towers‚ 22 and 20
stories‚ above three basement levels‚ offering retail and residential space‚ including 643 apartment units and
associated parking. The three basement levels required excavation of 34 to 38 feet below street grade. Langan
provided multi-disciplinary engineering services for design and construction of the project. Data from the
geotechnical investigation was used to reduce field exploration costs. We performed field observation and
provided weekly reports regarding stormwater compliance per the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program
(SWPPP).

OVERVIEW
This block-sized development at 1314 Franklin Street is part of the Lake Merritt Station Area Plan. Plans are to
demolish a 2-story parking garage and construct two buildings: a 27-story residential tower with ground-floor retail
and a 5-story wood-frame apartment building. Langan is providing site/civil and geotechnical services for this
development.
MISSION BAY 360 | BLOCKS 5 & 11

OVERVIEW
The two distinct apartment communities for Mission Bay 360 contain 4 stories over retail and parking space.
Altogether‚ this $189 million project adds 360 apartment units to the neighborhood‚ as well as retail and common
space amenities. Total GSF is 396‚200. Langan performed a geotechnical investigation‚ conducted Phase I and II
Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)‚ designed the methane mitigation system‚ and prepared the Storm
Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and the Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Plan.

Langan performed the geotechnical investigation and is providing geotechnical services for all four phases of this
massive development in San Francisco's Mid-Market corridor. Once complete‚ the complex‚ consisting of four
distinctive high-rise buildings‚ will feature 1‚900 housing units‚ 1‚450 parking spaces‚ and 60‚000 square feet of
ground-floor retail.
