Recent work

Land Use Carbon Analysis System(LUCAS): LandSystems has been workingalongside MfE, Landcare Research, Scion andInterpine sampling and describing soils atLUCAS plots under plantation forestthroughout the North Island.

Our soil scientist was responsible for site assessments, soil profile descriptions as well as training and auditing for some of the teams.

Land Use Intensification:(undertaken at Waikato Regional Council)

As part of their work at Waikato RegionalCouncil our LandSystems staff initiatednumerous innovative spatial analysisapproaches to assessing land resources. These approaches cleverly combined ourstaff's skills in GIS and land resources toguide policy developers and land managers.

Two examplesinclude a temporaland spatial analysisof land useintensification in theWaikato region andprioritising locationsfor soilconservation, biodiversity andwater quality in theWaipa catchment.

Online Maps: LandSystems hasdeveloped LANDmaps™ a GIS platformfor selecting and ordering landresource maps. Our range of mapsutilise available national land resourcedata. This platform can be modified foryou to securely provide maps of yourdata to your clients.

LANDmaps™ gives you the power toprovide multiple clients withcustomised map products using yourdata.
