DAY 1 WELCOME TO ISRAEL

Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, you will be met by an Ortra representative before transferring to your hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Bauhaus quarter - “The White City” - a unique urban and historical fabric of Tel Aviv which has been proclaimed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site. The visit continues on to Neve Tzedek, a picturesque village in the new city and the first quarter of Tel Aviv to be built outside of Jaffa.

After breakfast, we will drive north along the coast to scenic Caesarea, once the Roman capital of the Holy Land. Here we will explore its excavated Roman harbor, amphitheater and Crusader fortress.

Our tour continues to the Lower Galilee, where we will stop in Haifa, the greatest harbor of Israel, with its breathtaking panoramic view of Haifa Bay and the Western Galilee from the summit of Mount Carmel.


After lunch we head northwest to Acre, also called Ptolemais or St. Jean d’Acre, for a visit to the Crusader Fortress and the Museum of the Underground Prisoner. Acre is a city of intrigue, where you can stroll through labyrinthine alleys and streets, explore the vestiges of Crusader, Muslim and Ottoman conquests.

DAY 4 NAZARETH / CAPARNAUM / TABGHA / JORDAN VALLEY

After breakfast, we will visit Nazareth and the Basilica of the Annunciation before continuing to Lake Tiberias, better known as the Sea of Galilee.

We’ll also stop in Tabgha to visit the Church of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes and discover its 4th century mosaic floor.

The excursion continues to the town of Capernaum, said to have been the home of Jesus, where you will visit St Peter’s home and tour the ruins of an ancient synagogue.

We will also enjoy an outstanding panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee from the Mount of the Beatitudes.

For lunch, you can dine on a St Peter’s Fish at a local restaurant

The excursion continues through the Jordan Valley to Jerusalem.

DAY 5 OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM

After breakfast, our day starts at the Mount of Olives with its magnificent and celebrated panorama of the Old City.

Pause to reflect at the Garden of Gethsemane and its beautiful Church of the Agony situated in the Valley of Josaphat. We’ll continue on to Mount Zion for a visit to King David’s tomb and the “Upper Room” where the Last Supper, is believed, was held (Coenaculum).

Enter the Walled City through the Roman Cardo, the ancient Roman and Byzantine main street, to reach the Jewish Quarter and the Western Wall which is the most sacred site in the Jewish faith.

Visit the Temple Mount (depending on opening hours)


After lunch, walk along the Via Dolorosa to the Muslim & Christian quarters, to the Holy Sepulcher.At the end of the day, take a stroll through the Armenian quarter.

DAY 6 NEW CITY OF JERUSALEM / BETHLEHEM

After breakfast, departure for the Israel Museum to admire the collections of centuries-old Israeli

artifacts including the Shrine of The Book, where you can see the Dead Sea Scrolls and an accurately

detailed Second Temple model of Biblical Jerusalem.

Later on, a tour of the newly renovated Yad Vashem complex, the Jewish National Memorial to the

victims of the Holocaust and a visit to the new Museum inaugurated in 2005.


Drive by the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, to see the Menorah with its biblical symbols.

Afterwards we will proceed to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity.

DAY 7 MASADA / DEAD SEA

DAY 8 DEPARTURE

After breakfast, we will drive through the strangely lunar landscape of the Judean desert and down

to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth at over 400 meters below sea level.

On the way, we will pass the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.

A visit to Masada, where we will take the cable car to the top of the mountain to marvel at King

Herod’s desert palace fort and last stronghold of the Jewish zealots against Roman domination in

73 CE.

We arrive to Ein Bokek for lunch in one of the Dead Sea hotels, followed by a relaxing float on the

Dead Sea, with access to the hotel swimming pool.

DAY 1 WELCOME IN JERUSALEM


Transfer to Jerusalem.


After breakfast, departure towards the south and Joe Alon Center. Tour of The Museum of Bedouin Culture, the only museum in Israel devoted entirely to the Bedouin culture. The tour includes a Bedouin-style coffee break.

Later on, transfer to the Kfar Hanokdim Bedouin Village to enjoy Bedouin hospitality with traditional stories and a Bedouin-style lunch.

Afterwards, we’ll travel to the Dead Sea - the lowest point of any land mass on Earth at exactly 429 meters below sea level.

After breakfast, visit to the Sodom Pillars of Salt. Lot’s wife is a character in the Book of Genesis,

she is described as turning into a pillar of salt for failing to heed the orders of the angels of deliverance

while fleeing the city of Sodom.

Afterwards, we drive to Masada, where we’ll ascend by cable car to the top of the mountain to

marvel at King Herod’s desert palace fort and last stronghold of the Jewish zealots against Roman

domination in 73 CE.

In the afternoon, enjoy floating and leisure time in the Dead Sea.

DAY 4 QUMRAN / LAKE TIBERIAS

After breakfast, departure for Qumran, where you will visit the caves in which the Dead Sea Scrolls

were discovered.

Followed by a drive through the Jordan Valley to Lake Tiberias, also known as the Sea of Galilee.

After breakfast, we’ll travel to Nazareth and visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, followed by free time at the Arab Bazar.Then transfer to Kfar Kama (Circassian Village).

In the afternoon, we’ll travel to the Tabor Winery, where we will tour the facilities and enjoy tasting the vineyard’s produce.

Departure for Lake Tiberias, also known as the Sea of Galilee, and visit to Capernaum, said to have

been the home of Jesus, where we’ll visit St Peter’s home and tour the ruins of an ancient synagogue.

The trip continues on to Tabgha, the traditional site of the miracle of the multiplication of loaves and

fishes and visit to the Primacy Church with its famous mosaic.

Departure for Sheikh-Hussein crossing point on the Israel-Jordan Border.


Visit Jerash to marvel the grandeur of Imperial Rome, as it is one of the largest and most well-

preserved sites of Roman architecture in the world, outside Italy.

DAY 4 MADABA / MOUNT NEBO / KERAK / PETRA

DAY 5 PETRA

After breakfast, we will drive along the King’s Highway in the eastern Dead Sea region to enjoy the magnificent mountain scenery.

Mount Nebo is where the Hebrew prophet Moses was given a view of the Promised Land. Here we will visit the Church of Saint-Lot and Saint Procopius.


Visit to Madaba, where a Byzantine mosaic map was discovered, showing the Holy Land and including a fascinating map of Jerusalem. Afterwards, visit the imposing crusader castle of Kerak. Continue on to Petra.

Daylong tour of Petra - a vast, unique city, carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabateans. Entrance to the city is through the Siq, a narrow gorge, which is flanked on either side by soaring, 80m high cliffs. As we reach the end of the Siq we’ll catch your first glimpse of the Treasury Monument.


Visit to Al- Khazneh, the most magnificent of Petra’s sights. Transfer to the Arava border to cross back into Israel.

Drive through Arava valley to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth at over 400 meters below sea level. Pause at one of the Dead Sea hotels for a relaxing float on the Dead Sea.


Afterwards, we continue along the shores of the Dead Sea to Masada and its breathtaking panorama of the Dead Sea. Continue to Jerusalem.


After breakfast, departure for the Israel Museum and the Shrine of the Book, where you will see the collections of centuries-old Israeli artifacts including the Dead Sea Scrolls and an accurately detailed Second Temple model of Biblical Jerusalem.

Later on, a tour of the newly renovated Yad Vashem complex, the Jewish National Memorial to the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust, including the Avenue of the Righteous, the new Historical Museum and the Children’s Memorial.


After lunch we will drive by the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, to see the Menorah with its biblical symbols, and then continue to the village of Ein Karem, site of the Visitation and the birth place of John the Baptist.

We continue on to Zikhron Yaakov, which offeres two highly enjoyable features: wine and tranquility. The Moshava’s founding farmers cultivated vineyards and the large winery built here in 1889 became the area’s most important industry. Visit Carmel Winery, which is Israel’s historic vineyard and winery. It was founded in 1882 by Baron Edmond de Rothschild, owner of Château Lafite in Bordeaux. Carmel owns the two largest wineries in Israel.

Cellar tour and wine tasting, introduction of the winery, a visit to the historic cellars, a short film presentation and wine tasting.

Later, we’ll proceed to Adir Winery. At the heart of the Upper Galilee region, along the slopes of Admon Mountain, is an inspiring family-owned winery that has raised the standard of Israeli wine to a whole new level.

Adir Winery produces high-quality wines that are true reflection of the favorable conditions in which their grapes have been grown and harvested.

Tour of the Visitor Center and wine tasting to enjoy the unique flavors of Adir wines, with breathtaking views of the Upper Galilee in the background.

Afterwards, we drive to Safed, picturesque city filled with spiritual people and artists, wrapped in mysticism and mystery, and steeped in sacred atmosphere.

DAY 4 KATZRIN / LAKE TIBERIAS / CAPHARNAUM / TABGHA

After breakfast, departure for Golan Heights, Israel’s mountainous northern region and one of the most beautiful and most traveled parts of the country. There are wonderful scenic treasures alongside lovely nature reserves, historic and archeological sites and other attractions.

Our first stop is at the ancient Katzrin Park, lets you immerse yourself in the era of the Mishna and the Talmud. Visit to an early synagogue, a reconstructed home and an olive press.

Then continuation to the Golan Heights Winery.

Tour of the Golan Heights Winery visitor center, followed by a gourmet meal accompagnied by their premium wines in the VIP room or the wine cellar.

Ein Gedi is a lush oasis set between the rugged Judean Desert and the sterile Dead Sea.

Below the craggy cliffs, nestling in the rocky canyons of Nahal David and Nahal Arugot are seemingly

miraculous fresh water springs flowing into clear streams and waterfalls - which brings this corner

of the desert to life.

DAY 6 DEAD SEA EXPERIENCE / FLAM WINERY

During the morning, plenty of leisure time to enjoy a float on the Dead Sea.

Departure for Flam Winery.

The Flam winery is a family story.

A family that has lived, breathed and produced wine for more than 50 years. Surrounded by vineyards,

the Flam Winery is located in the heart of the Judean Hills surrounding Jerusalem.

The wine tasting experience includes professional explanations regarding the Israeli wine industry

and the wine making process.

During the degustation, the specialists demonstrate the importance of proper food pairing and

discuss each of the wine’s special features.

DAY 3 DEAD SEA

After breakfast, departure for the Dead Sea - the lowest point on Earth.

From Masada, we’ll take a 4X4 Jeep tour to the lower Judean desert and visit Nahal Sodom, Har Sodom, Nahal Pratzim, and thence by road to Nahal Himar were we will enjoy the stunning panorama from the desert plateau and see one of the largest canyons of the Judean desert.

We then arrive to Ein Bokek, have lunch at one of the Dead Sea hotels, followed by a relaxing float on the Dead Sea with access to the hotel swimming pool. Evening in Metzoke Dragot, an authentic desert guest village with a breathtaking view of the Dead Sea.

Later on, we’ll start the walkabout tour of the Old City.
