upported Devicese LANCity Cable TV Modems act as data links d network layer bridges, preventing authorized information into the user premises transparently bridging Ethernet onto the cable edium. The modems have 2 ports: a cable (coax) rt, and an Ethernet AUI port. They can be nnected to a router if a routed network is cessary. The LANCity Cable TV Modem pports SNMP for standard network anagement features.
e modems also support connection throttling erformance on connection can be limited to an erator specified data rate, i.e., a 10-megabit odem could be set to perform at only 1-egabit/sec.), and secure virtual channels tween the head end controller and modem.
e following devices are available:
e LCP (Personal Cable Modem) is a cable TV odem which can support up to sixteen users. e LANCity Personal Cable Modem enables the all business or PC user to access a high-speed, y wide cable TV data network.
e LCB (Multiple-User Spanning Tree Cable odem) is an enterprise network cable TV odem, enabling city wide connectivity of terprise networks, school systems, and

Application View
This section describes the main Application view and the associated application-specimodels of LANCity Cable TV Modems.
hen a device model is created, SPECTRUM tomatically creates models for each of the ajor and minor applications supported by the vice. The Application view identifies all of these plication models, shows their current condition tus and provides access to application-specific bviews.
gure 5 shows an Application view in its default w mode (icon) where each of the application
odels is represented by an Application icon (see gure 6 on Page 19 for a close-up). The plication icons are arranged hierarchically der the LANCity Device icon, with major plications in the top row and their respective inor applications stacked directly below.
you prefer to see applications displayed by me only, in a single vertical list, select View > ode > List.
