Location

Lampton College London (LCL) is located in the London borough of Hounslow in south-west London.The college is located directly opposite of the busy Hounslow Central Underground Station (thePiccadilly Line) and is very close to local bus stops. As such, LCL can offer easy access to the manysocial and cultural attractions of Central London and to Europe’s busiest airport, Heathrow. Indeed,famous London attractions e.g. the West End theatres, restaurants, the London Eye, and the Housesof Parliament can be visited through associated transport links.

Hounslow is just five miles away from Hampton Court, The home of Henry VIII, where the King HenryVIII was first crowned, famous Bushy park and the Twickenham Rugby Stadium is only a bus rideaway. The new football stadium at Wembley can also be easily approach from the college.

The town, which is an affluent suburb of London, is famous for its cafes, parks and busy shoppingcentres. There is a multicultural mix of people, including many international students.

Central London is a short train/tube ride away and Heathrow is accessible by local bus or taxi andunderground services. Many students spend their evenings and weekends exploring London and takingadvantage of its famous museums, art galleries, shopping and theatres.

Examinationthese will be held three times a year to coincidewith MBA applications.

ProgressionUniversity of Wales (UWIC) and Edge HillUniversity will accept students onto an MBAprogramme with 120 and 105 points creditrespectively. Students will need to undertake theResearch Methods Unit and a Dissertation.

Potential JobsStudents completing this course will usually workin Management or Administrative roles managingstaff in a variety of different scenarios from smallto large businesses.

AssessmentTotal Credit for the course is 120creditThe students will receive two overall marks onefor the unit exam/coursework and another for theResearch project.Students will have to pass both sections.

Course SummaryThis course is designed to give students a goodunderstanding of the responsibilities of a managerand the techniques they will use to deal withdifferent situations as well as the legalrequirements within their role. It is articulated toan MBA so therefore entry requirements will coverboth courses.

Starting DatesWe have three starting dates but will be able tohave some flexibility. The starting dates areorganised for MBA progression. The length of the courseshould be 8 - 9 months subject to centre time tablebut cannot be less than 6 months after registration.

LocationUWIC MBA students will spend 5 days at theUniversity campus spread over a few months.University Edge Hill students will take the courseeither at the University Campus or at a Londoncentre which has been approved by ATHE andEdge Hill University. We also submit students toUniversity of Derby.

For the Unit/exam/course work section themarks will be divided up as follows -30% for the final exam - This will be based ona case study with six questions covering all units.(Marked based on 100% and weighted downto 30%)70% for the six (four core and two optional)unit exams/coursework/ discussion reports(Marked based on 100% then weighted downto 11.6% per unit)Each question will have equal marks thereforestudents who have not passed a particular unitexam/coursework etc can make up their markson the final examination.

Entry RequirementsAUK or equivalent second class if fresh graduateor degree plus 2 years middle managementexperience.Ê Anyone without a degree must have4 - 5 years management experience. These entryqualifications will also cover the MBA progression.A normal three year degree will be required forprogression to MA in Management.The Postgraduate programme is conducted inEnglish and thus candidates are expected to havean acceptable TOEFL or IELTS score if they havenot undertaken their previous studies in thelanguage.Registration within 14 days of start is importantas eligibility needs to be confirmed early on.

Advanced International Diploma in Travel & Tourism - L5

ProgressionWe have universities including University of Wales(UWIC) and Edge Hill University that are willingto accept students onto the third year of theirtourism studies degree after completing AdvancedLevel.

Potential JobsThis programme covers all the most importantsubjects in the travel and tourism industry and istherefore suitable for any career in that industry.

AssessmentAll students are tested on each unit at a centre. Toobtain the pass students must pass all units. Anassignment on a selected topic must also becompleted. At the end of the course an examinationbased on a case study will be held at a convenientcentre.

Course SummaryThe ATHE International Diploma in Travel &Tourism aims to provide students with a broadunderstanding of the operational aspects of theinternational tourism industry. Students have toattend a course of study of not less than 450 hoursand undergo On the Job Training (optional) of notless than 960 hours in an established travel agency.

We will be assisting students with Temporary Accommodation this can be arranged for the studentsupon request. The students must inform LCL at least two weeks in advance to ensure that temporaryaccommodation can be secured. The college will do its best to arrange accommodation near college premises for overseas students. Theaccommodation can be arranged in a hostel or private rooms in a shared house

Furnished single room in a shared house of a local family for approximately £85 per week, some maycharge for the following in addition: cleaning, change of bed linen, lighting, heating, water heating andbreakfast.

Many students prefer to stay in single or shared rooms in a private flat or houses in London, thereforeenabling them to have use of all the facilities for example the kitchen. The weekly rent for this type ofaccommodations may range from £65- £100 per week.

Once accommodation has been secured, students will be required to complete the international admissionform (downloadable) and send it to the Admission Officer with an accompanying letter confirming thatthey consent to pay a security deposit (where required) and any advance rental payments one month,in advance, upon arrival in UK. This form will also require the consent of the parents of the student.

Copying and Printing Facilities:

A photocopier is located in the library which can only be used by the students if you have paid andobtained credit. You are allowed to use the photocopier for private purposes upon payment of threepence per page. Otherwise, if you need to copy notes or course materials you and o so free of chargeonce having obtained permission from your course lecturer. Similarly if you need to print somethingout from a computer you will need to pay five pence per page and request a lecturer in the staff roomto allow you to use their computer for printing purpose.

At Lampton College London we maintain a library that includes syllabus books and other study materialsfor all the courses that we will offer. Students of LCL will also have access to eBooks through extracomputers available inside College Library; In addition to these the library also has a good collectionof books on general topics and fictional novels.

Here at LCL we will be providing all students on a case by case help and assistance, to not only becomea member of our college culture once in operation, but to also integrate with British society as a whole.

To apply for tier 4 general student visa you must be 18 years or above.

In order to comply with the PBS Tire 4 Student Visa criteria, we are obligated to recruit students whoare suitably qualified for the courses we offered them. Should not be over qualified or under qualifiedto study at Lampton College London, Once the college received an application either Via online applicationor printed version or through an approved Agent with all necessary documents and has accepted foradmission. We strongly suggest we receive the completed application form and supporting documentsat Least 2 months before the start date of the course.

Students are recommended to apply early enough to allow them to arrive at College before start dateof their proposed course.

Making an offerOnce the college has received the application form and supporting documents, it will be reviewed bythe Admission Officer in consultation with the Director of Studies and Principal/authorizing officer.The past qualifications documents will be verified and checked to see whether the entry requirementsfor the course is fulfilled. The English proficiency will be checked and also financial viability. Offer letterwill be sent out via email to the agent/applicant for confirmation that the students, details are Accurate.The offer letter also asks for a tuition fee deposit payment.

Complete application form VAF9 and either :Application form PBS Appendix 8 (if you are applying as a Tier 4 General student);The foms ask how many ‘points’ you are claiming. You need to claim :

� 30 points for ‘attributes’ and for your ‘confirmation of acceptance for studies' (these are the� same thing, but are described in these two different ways on the two different forms); and

� 10 points for ‘maintenance’; and

� zero points for ‘English

� Use the process described for your country to submit your two application forms, and the supporting documents. Make sure you enclose all the documents listed in the forms and

guidance as well as the ones mentioned in this information sheet. The INF29 leaflet tells you to submita photocopy of each document in addition to the original document itself. You will have to pay a fee forthe application, currently the equivalent of £199 in your local currency

When your visa granted Check it carefully to make sure:

� Your name and date of birth are correct

� It says that you are a student

� The Sponsor License Number is identical to the one given to you by the college or university where you intend to study

� It starts on or before the date you want to travel to the UK (this will be no more than 1 month before the start date of your course as stated in your CAS)

� It does not end sooner than you expected (see the paragraph above headed )

� Whether it tells you to register with the police on arrival in the UK, or not. If it does, then make a note to contact the Student Adviser at college to ask how you do that as soon as you

arrive in the UK.

Lampton College London adhere immediately if there will be any problem in arriving in time for thestart of your course. LCL will require keeping the UK Border Agency informed of students who havebeen given immigration permission and then fail to arrive on time, or who do not attend properly, soit is important you keep them informed if there are any problems.

Policies

As an international student (outside EU/EEA), the applicants will need to be accepted by the BritishEmbassies/visa offices before coming to study in the UK. Lampton College London endeavors to do allit can to prepare students for securing this opportunity.Nevertheless, there are a small number of applicants who do not meet the necessary requirements.These students can be refused their Tier 4 Visas due to variety of reasons. Therefore, it is necessaryfor us to establish a refund policy. This is designed to minimize the financial losses of legitimate students,whose visa applications were not successful.

Valid refund claimsIn the event of a student Visa being rejected from the British Embassy, Lampton College will refundthe full Tuition fees, excluding an administration cost of one hundred and fifty pounds.Part of the Visa application is assessed on the student’s financial capability. Therefore, if a student visais rejected due to their financial position then the College will refund the above amount within 90 days.If an application is rejected for a reason other than the College will refund the above amount within90 days. If an application is rejected for a reason other than the student’s financial competency thenthe refund period will be 45 days from when the college is notified.

All international students are liable to pay their course fees before enrolment in Lampton CollegeLondon, in all cases at least an initial deposit of 50% of their first year course fees is required in orderto confirm enrolment or issuing a Confirmation of Acceptance (CAS).

The outstanding fees can be paid on arrival at the college campus after a Tier 4 Visa has been granted

by British High Commission in relevant Countries.

Student already in UK can pay either half of their course fees or full course fees and may have a discountat the time of enrolment. An installment plan can be agreed between student and College for the Feestudent still owe to pay.

In addition, all Students would require pay an Exam.fee, any registration fee to External Body, Certificatefee.

All International students are advised not to make any payments to Agents as Lampton College will nottake any liability later date.

The students fail to pay their fees in certain period of time would be terminated from college andreported to UKBA.

Payment Policy

No RefundsLCL may reserve the right to withhold the full amount paid on behalf of the student:-

� If a student obtains a Tier 4 student visa on any of our programmes, and cancels his/heradmission or never enrolled.

� If a student visa was rejected due to a forged/false representation of documents.� Deferment of session/intake before or after a ‘CAS’ has been assigned.� If a student stops attending the College after the commencement of the course.� If the student leaves the course before its completion.� If a student is suspended by the College because of non-compliance of any of his/her

visa conditions (please also read student code of conduct).� LCL does not take responsibility for any refund being paid to external agents or

consultants, the student needs to lodge an appeal. The fees would be refunded once the college receives documentary evidence of the appeal dismissed.

Any possible concerns should be brought to the Colleges attention.

Laws and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and the students must agree toabide to the jurisdiction of the English Courts. The Terms and Conditions are reviewed by LCL fromtime to time. There is no guarantee that the conditions for payment or refund of fees will remain thesame from year to year. All students must comply with the current Terms and Conditions. LCL reservesthe right to change or amend the Terms and Conditions from time to time without prior notice.

English Language Course Level3.3. If the application form is signed on behalf ofthe student by his/hersponsor/guardian/representative, theseconditions will still apply.

3.4. All declarations made on admission areaccepted in good faith. Any false declaration aboutqualification or age, or failure to producedocumentary evidence of entry qualifications, mayresult in the expulsion of the student from thecourse to which he/she has been admitted. In suchcases, the student will not be entitled to any refund.

3.5. Lampton College reserves the right to cancelcourses, amalgamate classes, change programs atshort notice, should the need arise due to lack ofdemand.

4. Fees Policy4.1. Source of Funds - Course fees can be paid bythe following resources:

Students who are unable to produce acceptableevidence of support from their sponsor will beliable for the payment of their fees.

4.2 Registration Fees - A non-refundableregistration fee must accompany an applicationfor admission. This fee is not refundable under anycircumstances unless the application has not beenaccepted or if the course in which a student hasenrolled will not be run.

By registering and enrolling on the courses,students agree to be legally bound by these presentterms and conditions, and as modified from timeto time.

2. Privacy2.1. Lampton College does not collect individualuser details, unless a user voluntarily submits suchinformation. Lampton College does not shareinformation with outside sources, and is committedto keeping such information confidential.

3. Admissions & Courses3.1. It is the student’s responsibility to registerwith the relevant professional body, whereApplicable, or enter for any examinations heldexternally.

3.2. Unless otherwise stated, fees for coursesquoted are for tuition only. Other fees are notincluded, i.e. registration fees with professionalbodies and / or examination boards, examinationsfees, books, manuals and so on.

If the whole fees arenot paid after 30 days of start date or other notifieddate, the student would incur a supplementarycharge of £50.

4.8 Payment by Installments - Students who are ona full time course lasting more than five monthsand are self-financing may pay by monthlyinstallments. The minimum deposit is 50% of thecourse fee plus registration fee. This is due aminimum of four weeks before the start date ofthe course. A supplementary charge of 10% willbe added to the tuition fees in case of payment byinstallments. The remaining fees will be dividedequally into a maximum of four payments. Students paying by installments must make apayment every month on the specified date. Thefinal installment must be paid no later than thefourth month of the course. The facility to pay byinstallments will be withdrawn from students whofail to meet installment deadlines. Students whohave tuition fees outstanding after the fourth monthof the course will not be allowed to sit any formalexaminations until the fees have been paid in full.

4.9 Late Payments - A penalty charge of £25 willbe applied in all instances where payment has notbeen received by Lampton College by the requireddate and each time a reminder letter is sent.Lampton College does not accept any reason fordelay in payment. Any transaction rejected by thebank will be classified as late payment and chargesapplied accordingly.

4.3 Payment of Fees - All students must enroll atthe start of their course, and each subsequent year.At that time they must either provide an acceptablewritten guarantee from an official sponsoraccepting responsibility for all fees due or makefull payment of their fees and any registration feesfor the academic year concerned or elect to payby installments. Lampton College will only acceptstudent enrolment upon receipt of the relevantpayments or sponsor authorization. Those whosefunding will come from outside the UK shouldapply well in advance for the necessary transferof funds. Lampton College will not accept thepostponement of payment of fees because ofexchange control problem. Receipt of depositpayment is regarded as an acceptance of the Terms& Conditions of Lampton College.

4.4 Sponsored Students – Lampton College Londonreserves the right to accept the sponsor'sguarantee. In case where the guarantee is notacceptable, it is the student's responsibility to payhis/her fees on or before enrolment.

4.5 Payment by Students - Students who are on fulltime courses lasting more than five months andare financing themselves may pay their tuitionfees in a single payment at the time of enrolmentor by installments.

4.10.6 Refund Procedure - Whenever a student orprospective student decides to initiate a requestfor refund, this must be done in writing to theRegistrar. The request will be processed in termof existing policy and if a decision is made, it willbe conveyed to the applicant in writing.

4.10.7 Refund Time - Although the College willalways Endeavour to respond to refund requestswith a sense of urgency, but under normalcircumstances it takes up to ten weeks to processa refund.

4.10.8 Transfer of Fees to another Person - Fromtime to time, students who fail to attend Collegefor bonafide reasons normally request the Collegeto transfer the fees to a relative or friend’s account.If and when the College decides to accept suchrequest, the fee will be transferred in full less £400administration charges. The College is under noobligation to honor such requests and decisionsare at the discretion of The Principal/Management.If the transfer is in favour of an existing student,the College will credit the account of the studentand under no circumstances the College will refundthe Fees directly to a student when the student’saccount is in debit.

5. Full Refund5.1. Full refund of tuition fees will be made ifLampton College London is unable to offeradvertised course due to insufficient studentenrolment or any other reason.

4.10 Conditions for Enrolment & Admission Policy- The College assume that all prospective studentswill have thought long enough about taking up acourse and therefore applying for admission.However, no matter how well intentioned one isthe College understands that there are manyreasons for wishing to withdraw from a course,both before and after courses have commenced.Consequently, the College policy on refund of feesupon withdrawal shall be as follows:

4.10.1 Once a student has been assigned a CAS(confirmation of acceptance) enrolled, no refundis permitted.

4.10.2 No refund is permitted or shall be madewhen a student withdraws once classes havecommenced.

4.10.3 In case where a prospective student isrefused student visa, the College will refund feespaid less £400 administration charges. However,in such event, no refund will be made unless theCollege has received all original copies of theCollege letters of enrolment plus an original copyof refusal from the appropriate immigrationauthority.

4.10.4 No refund is permitted or shall be made ifa Confirmation of acceptance (CAS) has been to aapplicant/prospective student or enters in UK ona student visa obtained.

4.10.5 No refund is permitted or shall be madewhen a student decides not to apply for studentVisa after assigned a CAS or further leave to remainin U.K.

delay in the performance of its obligations underthese terms and conditions caused bycircumstances beyond that party's reasonablecontrol

10. Severance10.1. If any provision of these terms and conditionsis held by a court of competent jurisdiction to beinvalid or unenforceable, then such provision shallbe enforced to the maximum extent permissibleso as to affect the intent of these terms andconditions, and the remainder of the terms andconditions shall continue in full force and effect.

11. Law & Jurisdiction11.1. These terms and conditions shall be governedby the laws of England and the student agrees toabide to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

12. UKBA Compliance12.2 Lampton College London adhere to complywith all rules, regulations and Guidance note issuedtime to time as set out in the Tier 4 guidelines forstudents by UKBA. It is expected of all students tocomply with all formalities, failing which studentsmay get de-registered and UKBA will be notifiedwith immediate effect.

The Terms and Conditions are reviewed byLampton College London from time to time. Thereis no guarantee that the conditions for paymentor refund of fees will remain the same from yearto year. All students must comply with the currentTerms and Conditions. Lampton College Londonreserves the right to change or amend the Termsand Conditions from time to time without priornotice. 6. Payment of Refunds6.1. Refunds will be made to the person ororganization that initially made the payment onreceipt of all original documents.

7. Attendance7.1. Students are expected to attend classesregularly, Lampton College reserve the right toterminate a student's course of study if attendanceis below 80%. Lampton College reserves the rightto forfeit the tuition fees of students, if they missten expected contacts that are late, absent or leavingearly and poor course progress etc. The UK BorderAgency requires that students miss no more than10 expected contacts during the academic year.This is described in the College’s Attendance andmonitoring policy

8. Indemnity8.1. Each party will indemnify the other in respectof any costs, claims, demands, losses or liabilities(including reasonable legal fees) incurred by theindemnified party as a result of or arising in anyway from a claim by a third party which resultsfrom any breach of the provisions contained inthese Terms and Conditions.

9. Disclaimer9.1. Lampton College shall not be liable to anystudent for any indirect or consequential loss,including loss of data, profit or business howevercaused. Lampton College aggregate liability to anystudent, caused by breach of contract, negligenceor otherwise (except in relation to death orpersonal injury), shall not in any event exceedeither £1,000 or the amount that has been paidby the student, whichever is the lower. Neitherparty shall be liable to the other for any failure or
