Yoga Protocol Workshop (17th

to 21st June, 2019)

From 17th

-21st June Yoga training at Kalina in which 6 volunteers participated where

they were taught about the various yoga asanas and importance of Yoga in daily life.

International day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking (26th

June, 2019).

15 Volunteers went for the Program at Shnmukhanand Hall, Matunga. Informative session

was conducted on Drug Addiction & Creative performances also.

Tree Plantation (8th

and 9th

July 2019)

Two Tree Plantation Dive were conducted at St. Baptista Garden, Mazgoan where 50 trees

were planted on first day and on second day in which 25 volunteers participated.

Tree Plantation (11th

and 13th

July 2019)

Tree plantation drives activity were conducted in Mahuli (Awale) Village Taluka Shahapur

District Thane were 80 trees on first drive and 150 in second drive were planted in which 35

volunteers participated.

Guru Purnima Celebration (16th

July 2019)

On 16th

July, 2018 the volunteers greeted Teachers with sweets Greeting Cards and Best Out

of Waste articles made by them.

Seminar on Controlling Depression (17

th July 2019)

The seminar was conducted in collaboration with The Movement which was attended by 80

volunteers in which they discussed how to deal with stress and measures to attain mental

stability.

Beach Cleaning Program, BIG MUMBAI CEANUP (21st July 2019)

Beach Cleanup activity was conducted in collaboration with Khushiyaan Foundation at Worli

Fort which was attended by 28 volunteers.

PEER EDUCATOR (29th

July, 2019)

3 volunteers attended the seminar of Red Ribbon Club on HIV/AID at MDACS Office,

Wadala.

Seminar conducted by Connecting Dream Foundation (29th

July, 2019)

50 volunteers attended the seminar conducted by Mrs. Sheetal Shetty related to Street Vendor.

Yuva Mahiti Doot (31st

July, 2019)

A session on how students can access to general education and affairs was conducted in which

there were 58 volunteers and other beneficiaries were 92.

Session on Team Building (2th

August, 2019)

A session on team building was conducted by Mr.Pranay Shinde through games in which 32

volunteers participated.

Peace Rally (6th

August, 2019)

10 volunteers attended peace rally from Azad Maidan to Flora Fountain.Volunteers took

pledge and participated in Peace Rally conducted by the Mumbai University regarding the

Peace for Hiroshima & Nagasaki.

Stem cell Registration (8th

August, 2019)

A Stem-Cell Registry was conducted in our College Audi-Foyer, where 91 candidates

registered themselves. 26 volunteers participated in the activity.

STS (SHAMMBAR TAKKE SHAI) on Voters Registery (8th

August, 2019)

3 volunteers attended the voter’s awareness session and also First year students were asked to

take pledge at the time of admission, by signing an undertaking stating that they shall enroll

themselves in the voters list when they complete 18 years of age.

NSS Orientation (10th

August, 2019)

Orientation day was organized for the First year volunteers to brief them about the activities to

be undertaken in the academic year 2019-2020 and also to make them aware of their

responsibility towards the society. Mr. Neil Banerjee was invited as the resource person for

the same.

International Youth Day (13th

August, 2019)

International youth day was celebrated with 26 volunteers on the theme HIV/AIDS

Awareness. A session on team building was also organized.

Flood Relief Donation Drive (13th

,14Th

& 16th

August,2019)

Flood Relief Donation Drive was conducted for victim of Kolhapur and Sangli flood in which

students, teaching and non-teaching staff donated packaged food, food grains ,toiletries,

clothes ,sanitary napkins and daily essentials. 30 volunteers participated in the collection

drive.

Rakhi Selling Exhibition (13 & 14 August 2019)

There was a Rakhi selling exhibition in the college premises where the volunteers sold Rakhi

made from bamboo and waste material by Adivasi women.

Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan (14TH

August 2019)

On 14th August 2019 activity of Poster Making Competition was conducted on Swaccha

Bharat in college campus to create the awareness on Clean and Green India.

Volunteers created Awareness about Swatch Bharat Abhiyan through Rally from College to

Lotus and back in which 28 volunteers participated.

Independence Day and Rakshabandhan Celebration (15th

August 2019)

Celebrated Independence Day in college premises and also at Tardeo and Worli police station

by greeting them with cards and sweets. Also symbolic cleaning was done by the volunteers at

Tardeo police station.

Akshara Workshop (17th

August 2019)

Akshara Workshop was conducted on Women Empowerment in which our volunteers

participated.

Session on Konkan Safari (19th

August 2019)

A Session on Konkan Safari was conducted where volunteers were given knowledge about the

forts and natural resources in Konkan region and how we can save them.42 volunteers

participated in the activity. Dr. Sirajuddin Chougle, Principal, Maharashtra College was the

Resource Person for the same.

Session on “Dialogue with students on partnering youth for a better tomorrow” (27th

August 2018)

A session was conducted in the college Auditorium on Trafic rules in which around 20 schools

and colleges participated

Cloth Bag Making Workshop (28th

August, 2019)

2 Days workshop of paper bag making in college campus where 22 volunteers along with 72

others learned how to make bags with use of old newspaper from Ms. Goyal .Volunteers made

61 cloth bags and distributed it to the small selling shops.

Fit India Programme (28th

August, 2019)

Fit India Programme was conducted on 29th August, 2019. The programme has Live telecast,

Administering the Pledge, Few Exercises. 64 Volunteers were there in the activity.

Voters Registration (28th

August, 2019)

A Registration desk was put up near the college main gate on 28 August 2019. Students who

have completed 18 years were registering themselves. Online Registration were held at

computer lab.

Workshop on Green Ganesha (31th

August 2019)

In collaboration with “TIMES OF INDIA” the N.S.S unit organized workshop on making

Eco-Friendly Ganesha in which 40 volunteers learned how to make ganesha idols from clay.

NRD SRD (4TH

September 2019)

Three volunteers attended the NRD/SRD camp at KC collage.

Organ Donation Rally (5th

September, 2019)

Organ Donation Rally from Air India Building to GMC Gymkhana, Organize by JJ Hospital

which was attended by 20 volunteers.

Beach Cleanup Drive (13th

September 2019)

After the day of Ganpati Visarjan Beach cleanup drive was conducted by 36 volunteers in

collaboration with Times of India.

Thalassemia Checkup Awareness Drive (17th

September 2019)

Thalassemia Checkup Awareness Drive was conducted in HR College which was attended by

volunteers. 3 Volunteers attended the session.

Blood Donation Drive 1 (17th

September 2019)

Blood Donation Drive in collaboration with KEM Blood Bank was organized in college Audi

foyer where 28 volunteers participated and 56 units of blood were collected.

Session on Social Meadia & Mental Health (20th

September 2019)

37 volunteers along with 28 others attended the seminar on Mental Health by Ms Apurva

Singh Verma in which volunteers were enlightened about various issues, challenges and

remedial measures related to Mental Health.

N.S.S Foundation Day (24th

September 2019)

Volunteers celebrated this day by decorating college premises, spreading awareness through

street play and flash mob. Also a session on Addiction was conducted by Mr Jamsher

Bagwadia from Sankalp Rehabilitation Centre. They also made posters and greeting cards and

felicitated the ex-volunteers of NSS.

CONSTITUTION DAY (26th

September, 2019)

An awareness program was organized on the occasion of constitution through elocution and

poster making competition in which 37 volunteers participated.

Dengue, Malaria and H1N1 Awareness (27 September 2019)

Dengue & Malaria awareness and prevention camp taken by volunteers at Tulsi Wadi

(Adopted area) and in College premises to create Awareness for Prevention of this diseases.

The rally was on Awareness of Malnutrtion and Hunger which was attended by 15 volunteers.

Nasha Mukti Rally (1st October, 2019)

A rally was conducted in Azad Maidan on Drug Addiction which was attented by 11

volunteers.

Clean up Drive & Bhajan Sandhya(2nd

October, 2019)

6 volunteers attended cleanup drive at Kalina University in Morning and 14 volunteers went

for Mumbai University Activity “Bhajan Sandhya” at Gateway of India.

Inception of library in Asangoan(3rd

October, 2019)

A library was incepted through the Book Donation Drive in zilla parshad school of Mahuli

Awale village to inculcate the habit of reading among the School Children of Zilla Parishad

School of the Adopted village.

Rastriya Ekta Diwas(31st October,2019)

Celebration of birth anniversary of Sardar vallabhai Patel in which Essay writing and poster

making competitions were conducted.

Volunteers participated in nest making competition ad vegetarian recipe competition in Rama

Sundari Watumall Auditorium,KC College on the occasion of Meatless Day.

A rally was conducted to Created Awareness about cleanliness from College to Lotus and

The rally was conducted from College to Lotus. 29 Volunteers was there in rally.

SESSION ON DISTRACTION AND UNDER AGE DRIVING BY SAFE KIDS

FOUNDATION (11th

The session was conducted in college to aware about the road safety & rules by Safe Kids

Foundation. Ms. Tejasvi Ghadge & Mr. Amol Deshmukh was a resource person. 34 volunteers

attended the session.

Paper Bag Making & Distribution (3rd

2 Days workshop on paper bag making in college campus where volunteers learned and made

paper bags with use of old newspaper and 1080 paper bags were made.

Road Safety Rally (10th

January 2020)

A rally was conducted to Created Awareness about safety rules from College to Lotus and

back in which 23 volunteers. Also street play was performed by volunteers in adopted area.

BLOOD DONATION DRIVE II (16th

January, 2020)

Blood Donation Drive in collaboration with KEM Blood Bank was organized in college Audi

foyer where 22 volunteers participated and 107 units of blood were collected.

ROAD SAFETY WEEK RALLY AT NCPA (13TH

JANUARY, 2020)

The rally & human chain on road safety week was conducted at 13th january, 2020. After the

rall, falicitation of best drivers & officers has done in ncpa hall. 42 volunteers were there in

the activity.

Visit to Kanheri Caves (17th

January, 2020)

It was a one day visit to historical place. Also awareness on SBA at kanheri caves was done

by the volunteers. We explored the caves and observed the cleanliness in that area.

Best Out of Waste Making (22nd

Best out of Waste has done on 22nd

to 25th

January, 2020 in college. Min 7 Volunteers per day

makes the Best out of Waste Material.

Thalassemia minor detection drive & Class to class awareness (24th

January, 2020)

Thalassemia minor detection drive & Class to Class awareness was conducted on 24th January,

2020. 19 Volunteers were volunteering for the dive. 142 Registration has done for the same.

Republic Day Celebration (26th

January 2020)

Celebrating Republic Day by Flag hosting at college campus and distributing sweets and

thankyou cards to policemen at Tardeo Police Station & Also celebrated with the old age

home St. George Infirmary people by Interacting & Playing various fun games. Also snacks &

sweets were distributed to them. 23 Volunteers were there for the activity

GUIDANCE LECTURE ON UPSC/MPSC (27TH

January, 2020)

A Guidance Lecture on MPSC/UPSC Preparation was conducted for the students in college.

Ms. Sudha Vaidya was a Lecturer for the same. 46 Volunteers was there in the lecture.

RALLY & PAMPHLET DISTRIBUTION ON VOTERS AWARENESS (25th

Informative pamphlet distribution of Voters awareness was distributed to the people on 25th

January, 2020 & Also Rally Was conducted. 35 Volunteers participated in the activity

Rally was conducted from college to lotus and back with 29 voluneers also poster making as

carried out for the same.

PLASTIC & ELECTRONIC WASTE COLLECTION DRIVE (26TH

TO 31ST

JANUARY, 2020)

E-waste & Plastic Waste collection drive conducted in the college where volunteers collect the

waste from Students, Teaching & Non- Teaching staff. 46 Volunteers was there in the

collection Drive.

Avishkar (28th

January 2020)

27 volunteers attended the Inaugural session of Avishkar. Various creative performances was

performed & screening of Award Show was shown to the volunteers.

TUMBLER DEMONSTRATION BY KESHAV SRUSHTI (31st January, 2020)

A pair of Tumbler worth Rs 26,000 for composting the college canteen waste is gifted to the

college by Keshav Srushti. 62 Volunteers were presented for the demonstration.

Seminar on solid waste management (4th

February 2020)

An informative seminar was conducted on solid waste management in which 42 vounteers

along with 19 others participated.

YOUTH: MAKING A DIFFERENCE BY PCGT (4th

February 2020)

Session was conducted on the theme Youth: Making a Difference at Shanmukananda Hall in

collaboration with PCGT which was attended by 30 volunteers.

DISASTER MANAGEMENT TRAINING BY AVHAN VOLUNTEERS (14th

September, 2020)

Disaster Management Training was conducted by our Avhan Volunteers Mr Yogesh Wagare

& Mr Suraj Gangarkar on 14th

September, 2020. 55 volunteers attended the training program.

Disaster Management Workshop (6th

& 7th

February 2020)

2 Days workshop were conducted at MCGM office of disaster management and they taught

various safety to be taken during any Disaster. 50volunteers attended the training & workshop

for the same.

INTER-COLLEGIATE SOCIO-CULTURE FEST “SANKALP” (11TH

FEBRUARY, 2020)

Under Sankalp 2020 various competitions were organized at inter-collegiate level. The NSS Volunteers from

various colleges has enthusiastically participated in the competition

MARATHI VAGHMAY MANDAL “SAHYADRI” (17TH

FEBRUARY, 2020)

Inter collegiate competition was conducted for the Students from various colleges. Around 20

colleges from Mumbai participated in the event. Sahyadri event was organized in college on

17/02/2020.Around 40 Volunteers participated in the event.

Celebrated Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on 19/02/2020. 50 Volunteers participated in

the activity.

Annual Day of College held on 20/02/2020 at Auditorium. Students volunteered to maintain
