Students auditioned back in October, and scored high enough to be chosen to participate in the 80 voice chorus. The concert was spectacular and all the students worked very hard in preparation.

Great Artists

On Friday, January 31st the Scholastic Art and Writing Regional key winners were announced for the Northeast region. In the writing division, honorable mentions were given to Rachael Weaver, Maddison Egan, Tyler Crosby, Lily Ray and Haley Morrill. Silver key awards were given to Brianna Hall and Shannon Walstrom. In the Art division, honorable mentions were given to Seve Deery-Deraps, Jake Farmer and Allison Steward. Silver key award winners were, Brianna Hall, Jake Farmer, and Rachael Weaver. Gold key awards were given to Rachael Weaver and 2 were given to Jake Farmer. Lastly, Brianna Hall's Art and Graphics portfolios received gold medals. This is a huge honor as generally only one portfolio from the state of Maine is selected as the gold portfolio winner. All gold key winning work will now travel on to New York City where it will compete with work from across the country for national recognition. If chosen at the national level, winners will be invited to the awards ceremony at Carnegie Hall to receive their medals and to view their work on display at the Scholastic headquarters in Manhattan.
