DAY 1 CUSCO – PUNO

A representative will pick you up from the hotel in Cusco and take you to the airport. Fly to Juliaca. Upon arrival, you

will be transferred to your hotel in Puno. Enjoy an included lunch and dinner.

DAY 3 PUNO – JULIACA

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before your transfer arrives to take you to the airport. A representative will assist you

during the journey.

DAY 2 PUNO & LAKE TITICACA—UROS & TAQUILE

Transfer to the lake port of Puno, where a boat will take you to the floating islands of Uros. The Uros are an ancient

society that lives on a series of artificial islands built on a foundation made of the cattail plant, which grows in the

lake. The islands are built by weaving reeds in places where it grows thicker, forming a natural layer. They then

build their houses, which are also made of reed, on top of this layer, and cook outdoors in order to prevent possible

fires. After an hour and a half tour, you will continue your trip to the island of Taquile. This island is inhabited by

the indigenous Quechua people, unlike the other islands which are Aymaran. Taquile was part of the Inca Empire

and cultural traces can still be seen in its buildings. In Taquile, you’ll learn about the island and witness cultural

events. Afterwards, eat lunch and return to the hotel in Puno. Upon return, enjoy a relaxing evening with dinner.
