A 46-YEAR LONG INNOVATION PHILOSOPHY

The history of Laika began in 1964. These were the years of the conquests of space. The founder, Giovambattista Moscardini,

was fascinated by these adventures that were opening new horizons. This is why the company was given the name of the first

dog launched into space and its logo is the red greyhound with wings.

1964 was also the year of the first caravan model, the little “500”. It was so small in size that it could be towed by a Fiat 500.

Laika produced the first motorhome in 1977. We have come a long way since then. Laika is now a state-of-the-art company.

It is located in Tuscany, in the heart of the Chianti area, not far from where masters of Technique and Design of the past, like

Leonardo da Vinci, lived and worked.

GLASS-FIBRE ROOFS AND ALUMINIUM WALLS All LAIKA roofs are made of high

quality glass-fibre. Glass-fibre is a

highly resistant product which provides

an excellent insulating effect and

protects against hail. The walls are

made of aluminium which allows them

to remain brilliant and bright over time

and not become yellowish.

DOMESTIC TYPE WATER SYSTEM WITH HEATED WATER TANKS IN AN ANTI-FREEZE POSITIONLAIKA makes use of high quality pipes

and fittings and of 40 mm diameter drain

pipes with siphons. When developing a

new motorhome, LAIKA always takes

care that the water system is in a non-

freeze position.

POWERFUL COMBINED HEATING/BOILER SYSTEM TRUMA C6 AND ADDITIONAL HEATING FOR THE LIVING QUARTERS *LAIKA only uses high power systems

in their most performing version (Truma

has a buzzer and warning light on the

dashboard to alert if the step has been

left open. All garage doors are equipped

with safety sensors, indicating when a

door is not properly closed. An extra

safety feature.

used for manufacturing its vehicles.

LAIKA THINKS ABOUT THE NEEDS OF TALLER PEOPLE LAIKA motorhomes have a standing

height of at least 2 mt. On some models

you may have a standing height of

up to 2.10 mt. Single rear beds may

have a length of up to 2.20 mt and the

Rexosline drop-down beds may be

extended up to 2.00 mt x 1.90 mt.

A WIDE CHOICE FOR CUSTOMIZING YOUR MOTORHOMELAIKA gives you the possibility to

choose your vehicle configuration so

that you can adjust to the number of

passengers you have on board or to

the type of equipment you want to take

with you. For instance, the electrically

adjustable rear bed (available on some

models), the extension of the drop-

down bed, additional wardrobes or the

drop-down bed over the lounge.

STYROFOAM INSULATIONStyrofoam provides for a complete

insulation of floors, walls and roofs,

Thanks to this material and to its high

density, LAIKA motorhomes can be

used in all climates, also very cold

ones and in the mountains.

UNRIVALLED INSULATION OF THE LIVING QUARTERSThe thickness of the walls, floor and

roof, the type of insulating material

(Styrofoam) and its high density make

all LAIKA vehicles suitable for use in

the winter, as shown by specific insu-

lation tests made in the cold chamber

(temperature down to -30°).

MARINE STYLE ISO-DELUXE ROOF UPHOLSTERY, WITH INSULATING EFFECTThe roof of the Rexosline, Kreos and

Ecovip motorcaravans is covered

with a special marine style material,

with anti-stain treatment and a high-

performance insulating effect.

HIGH-QUALITY UPHOLSTERY FOR LOUNGE CUSHIONS LAIKA cushions are made of high

density, indeformable expanded

polyurethane with differentiated

structure. They provide optimal

comfort. On some models LAIKA

also uses the special “Memory Foam”

material, developed by NASA.

PRESTIGIOUS DECORATION UPHOLSTERIES LAIKA uses only high-quality

upholsteries, designed and made

in Italy. The design of some of them

is made by LAIKA itself. Microfibres

undergo a Water Repellent Treatment

which makes them more resistant to

dirt. All fabrics can be easily washed.

DOMESTIC COOKER WITH FOUR BURNERS, OVEN, GRILL AND A 230V SOCKETAll LAIKA Rexosline and Kreos models

are equipped with a domestic cooker as

standard. The kitchens of the Rexosline,

Kreos and X range all have a functional

230V socket.

MARINE STYLE TABLE, ADJUSTABLE IN ALL DIRECTIONSKreos and Rexosline vehicles (as well

as X-series vehicles with L-shaped

lounge version) are equipped with a

360° adjustable table with a telescopic

leg. Easy to lower, thanks to a button,

it allows you to adapt the table position

to your needs.

DOUBLE FLOORS AND MAXI BOOTS A double floor on the whole length of a

motorcaravan (or in a portion of it) allows

the creation of very practical double

floor storage areas, with lighting, often

SUPER LIVING-ROOMS FOR SEVEN / EIGHT PEOPLE In the Kreos 3002, Kreos 3003, Kreos

5001 SL and X 700 you may create

a Super Living lounge version which

makes it possible to accommodate

seven/eight people. In the Kreos

5001 SL the Super-Living version is a

standard feature.

Today LAIKA specializes in low-profiles with drop-down beds and it can therefore offer you a huge variety of different floor-plans

with drop-down beds to choose from. You will only have to look for your favourite layout. Sixteen different LAIKA low-profiles,

spread on three different ranges (Kreos 3000 range, Kreos 5000 range and X range), can now be equipped with an electric drop-

down bed as an option. Choose among many innovative floor-plans with different total lengths – from 5.99 mt to 7.47 mt: you will

certainly find YOUR vehicle. Thanks to the drop-down bed, you will always have one or two extra beds for your friends or for your

grandchildren. And you will be able to enjoy all the advantages of LAIKA drop-down beds.

You have an optimal standing height from the floor, even when the bed is not in use (1.85 mt).

The bed is available in two different versions: Light Duty and Heavy Duty, according to your planned frequency of use.

The LAIKA drop-down beds allow the contemporary use of the kitchen and of the dinette bed under the drop-down bed.

The access to the living quarters entrance door area always remains totally free, even while using the drop-down bed, for your

The new Laika Kreos 5000 low-profiles are special

motorhomes, for special customers. They are

dressed up with an “evening gown”: high-class

Italian design with very many innovations and an

KREOS 5000 LOW-PROFILES: TOP-LEVEL TECHNOLOGY

Magnum Double Iso-Floor: an extremely high double-floor compartment,

insulated with Styrofoam and equipped with radiators placed between

the two floors. Three sides of the two floors are coated with fibre-glass

in order to further increase the insulating effect.

The area between the two floors is up to 30 cm high. You can have

access to it both from the inside (thanks to two floor hatches) and from

the outside (on Kreos 5009 even from both sides). The double floor

compartment is extremely practical for loading bulky equipment.

Laika Termo Tech System: the already top-class heating performance

of the ALDE system (as standard) is further increased by the structure

and layout of the Laika heating system. Almost 17 metres of radiators

furnish an ideal heating everywhere: radiators are also placed in the

double floor, at the junction between cab and living area, near the water

system, under the cab seats and even in the garage.

Laika Calidarium System: not only are water tanks located in an anti-

freeze position, they are also placed on heated panels which keep the

water luke-warm. The drain valves of the water tanks are protected

inside a closed compartment. The whole water system is placed in non-

freeze positions. Water tank cleaning operations can easily be carried

out, thanks to the practical access from the garage.

The maxi-garage will offer you extremely high-level features: the low-

placed floor, which makes loading very easy, is covered with a special

“Laika Duralife” heavy-duty material. The garage size is excellent - up

to 140 cm height. The two big standard doors are also maxi-sized - up

to 130 cm high. And more interesting standard features are available:

generous lighting with two light sources, a 12V and a 230V socket,

SEVEN SEATS FOR LUNCH THANKS TO THE SUPER-LIVING LOUNGE VERSION AND TO THE STANDARD TABLE EXTENSION Thanks to the Super-Living version, the X 700 can provide you with a living-room

allowing up to seven seats for lunch. In the standard lounge version, the table

extension is standard and the table can measure up to 1.5 mt (X 700).

DIFFERENT LIGHT ATMOSPHERESThe Laika X lighting technology concept has been designed to create different lighting

styles: the light beam from spots under the cabinets can be directed towards the inside

for reading purposes or towards the wall in order to create a relaxing atmosphere.

Many light spots (there are up to 19 spots in each vehicle) can be switched on

independently. Thanks to a full Led technology, you will also save much energy.

TWO TYPES OF LIVING-ROOM FOR EACH MODEL Now you can decide the type of living-room you prefer. You may choose the standard

version with a demi-dinette and a table anchored to the wall with a standard table

extension system or you may choose the optional version with an L-shaped lounge

that has a table with telescopic leg and a 360° adjustable table top. If you choose the

L-shaped lounge, you can enjoy a six-seat lounge even in the compact model X 595R

(only 5.99 mt).

SOFA EXTENSION SYSTEMThanks to a simple standard system, it is possible to increase the seating comfort or

even create one more seat, by adding a small optional cushion.

LAIKA X-KITCHEN CONCEPT: A GOURMET KITCHEN IN TWO VERSIONSX series kitchens are structured like home kitchens, with many useful details: maxi-

dimensioned drawer chests, large window, extractor fan, 230V socket, an additional

slide-out work-top (L-shaped kitchens), a chopping board to be used on the sink or

as an additional work-top thanks to a hide-away panel where the chopping board is
