Lab-on-a-Chip Project As part of the project in ENG 1182.03, your team will:
Innovate,
Design,
Build,
Document and
Test a cheap, portable Lab-on-a-Chip (LOC)
To obtain these deliverables, you will learn important tools like:
Time management and task scheduling,
Team communications and meetings,
Fair division of labor and
Team member responsibilities
Lab-on-a-ChipSmall scale chemical lab in a portable and
disposable format. Incorporates sampling, mixing, reacting, sensing, and
output all in a single device.
Small sample sizes Easier to obtain Require smaller amounts of reagents
Disposable/Recyclable Inexpensive materials & manufacturing techniques
Relating the LOC to EDP
