We hope our students had a good break during the mid-term break and managed to spend quality time bonding with the family. In this letter, we wish to provide you with some reminders and updates on assessment matters. National Day Celebration
This year’s National Day theme, “Together A Stronger
Singapore”, is a rallying call to Singaporeans to play our
part to push forward and determine Singapore’s future,
in spite of the difficulties and crises. “Together” refers to
Singaporeans uniting as one people, brought closer in
bonds of compassion and kindness, while “A Stronger
Singapore” signifies our determination to emerge from
the crisis stronger as a nation, with our best days ahead
of us.
We will be celebrating National Day on Fri, 7 Aug. Reporting time for all students will be as usual. There will be a snack break at about 9.00 am in the classrooms. The canteen will not be operating on that day. Students are to bring along a snack, their stationery and water bottle. Students will continue to be dismissed in a staggered manner via their usual gates for their safety and well-being. Dismissal Timing: P1 & P2 – 10.00 am P3 to P6 – 10.15 am 2. P3-5 FUNdamentals Remedial Programme P3 to 5 FUNdamentals lessons will commence from Mon 3 Aug. Consent forms will be given out to selected students. 3. P6 Preliminary Examinations August marks the start of our P6 Preliminary examinations. Please refer to the assessment schedule that was given out earlier for more details. On this note, we would like to wish our P6 students all the best in their upcoming examination.
Fame@YN (aka 5 minutes of Fame), our very own talent show, is now online! Your child can sing, play an instrument or even dance! Log on to Student Learning Space (SLS) for more information. We are looking forward to your child’s participation! Closing date is on Sat 8 Aug.

REMINDERS
1. As National Day falls on Sun 9 Aug, Mon 10 Aug will be a public holiday. School will resume on Tue 11 Aug.
2. PSLE oral examinations will be held on Thu 13 Aug and Fri 14 Aug. All P1 to P5 students need not report to school on the two days. P6 students will be given more details of their reporting time for the examinations.

The 3rd Text Recital Competition for Primary Schools
Organized by Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL), the
competition aimed to raise students’ Chinese Language reading proficiency,
ignite students’ love for learning the Chinese Language, and deepen their
understanding of the Chinese text passages found in their textbooks. Our
students participated in the competition and have done well in the following
categories:
Lower Primary
1. Megan Bang Shiya, P3 Teamwork - Silver
2. Wong Pui Yee, Cyrena, P3 Teamwork - Bronze
Upper Primary
1. Lee Jue Ming, P5 Responsibility - Silver
2. Pek Luo Xi Gisele, P4 Responsibility - Silver
