The first song of what has now become Caipi came to Rosenwinkel about 10 years ago. It was new, bright as opposed to

dark, introspective yet reflecting, and ultimately exciting music. The songs kept flowing, as Kurt has noted, with the help of

angels and love with the ultimate intention of Rosenwinkel helping to bring a bit more light into the world. Kurt has formed

a sextet, THE CAIPI BAND, to play his new works.

PEDRO MARTINS is considered one of the most promising guitarists of Brasil’s new generation. His touch is based on the

essence of his mother country, but charged with a vogue lingo.

OLIVIA TRUMMER, being trained in classical as well as in jazz piano, has enriched her ability to blend lyrical melodies with

rich harmony and rhythmical sophistication.

FREDERICO HELIDORO plays an intense bass that is at points virtuous and loaded with feeling, then downright experimental,

wound up by his Brasilian sense with jazz and contemporary sensibilities.

ANTONIO LOUREIRO creates genre-crossing, fresh music by combining the traditional of Brasil with jazz and prog elements

while employing his extensive treasure trove of instruments.
