As the Electricity Supply Act 1990 requires all installations or electrical plant equipment be operated under the control of persons possessing Certificates of Competency as a chargeman, This certificate programme will provide the knowledge to upgrade the skills of electricians, technicians & electrical supervisors on matters relating to design, selection, inspection, testing & in particular to the protection of property & safety of persons at the workplace.

Kursus Persediaan Sijil Penjaga Jentera Elektrik – Kategori BO

Course Objectives This course is aimed to prepare participants to sit for the Electrical Chargeman BO Examination conducted by Suruhanjaya Tenaga. Entry Requirements

Electrical Chargeman BO-1:

Possess Electrical Chargeman A4-1 with 2 years working experience in handling a High Voltage System (up till 33 KV/11 kv) without Generator Sets (with synchronizing panel).

Electrical Chargeman BO:

Possess Electrical Chargeman A4 Certificate with minimum 2 years working experience in handling High Voltage System (up till 33kV/11kV) or;

Possess Electrical Chargeman BO-1 Certificate with 1 year working experience in handling a High Voltage System (up till 33kV/11kV) of which it must include Generator Sets (with synchronizing panel).

(Note: All the above does not include Wiring work experience).

Certification Certificate of Attendance would be awarded to participants who have fulfilled the 75% course attendance requirement.

The Facilitator Ir. Harapajan Singh graduated from University of Nottingham United Kingdom in Master of Engineering with Distinction. He also obtained a Diploma in Engineering with First Class (Electrical) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur and Certificate in Engineering (Electrical) from Polytechnic Ungku Omar, Ipoh. He was the Technical Lecturer and Head of Electrical Power Unit, with Department of Electrical Engineering at Polytechnic Seberang Perai and later joined a college in Seberang Perai as the Principal. Currently, Ir. H.Singh is a lecturer of a higher learning institution in Penang. He also lectures on a part time basis on Electrical Technology & Power Electronic at Universiti Sains Malaysia. Ir. H.Singh has conducted numerous training and development programmes related to electrical chargeman for companies like Petronas Fertilizer, Perlis Power Plant, Malaysia Airports Bhd and so forth. He has also been a trainer with the FMM since 1996 in all areas related to Electrical Chargeman AO/A4/BO. Ir. H.Singh is also a Registered Electrical Energy Manager with Energy Commission Malaysia and is the main trainer for FMM Certificate in Energy Management Program.

Note: Participants who wish to sit for Competent Chargeman BO examination conducted by

ST (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) should submit their ST examination form and LOG Book to ST before the deadline.

Completed registration form, faxed, mailed or e-mailed to FMM Institute would be deemed as confirmed. There will be no refund or cancellation within 2 days prior to the programme, 50% refund for cancellation between 3 – 6 days and full refund for cancellation 7 days prior to the programme. However, replacement can be accepted at no additional cost. Cheque made in favour of the “FMM Institute” should be forwarded on or before commencement of programme. The FMM Institute reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule the above programme and all efforts will be taken to inform participants of the changes. Trainer
