Course Description
Information Technology Fundamentals focus on the basic information
about Technology and computer components throw developing
Technologies in general like as mobile technology, internet and
networking, wireless and software systems management.
Course objectives
In this section the lecturer shall write an overview about the subject he/she
is giving. The course overview must cover:
▪The importance of studying the subject
▪ Understanding of the fundamental concepts of the course
▪ Principles and theories of the course
▪ A sound knowledge of the major areas of the subject
▪Sufficient knowledge and understanding to secure employment.
A few years after graduation, students with a BS in Information
Technology will be able to:
1. Take on positions as I.T. leaders and/or embark on a research career in
the field
2. Collaborate effectively in teams
3. Work effectively in the IT field to make a positive contribution to
society

Specific learning
outcome:
Upon graduation, students with a BS in Information Technology will be
able to:
1. Analyse a complex computing problem and to apply principles of
computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions.
2. Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a
given set of computing requirements in the context of the program’s
discipline.
3. Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts.
4. Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments
in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles.
5. Function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in
activities appropriate to the program’s discipline.
