Work, commitment and professionalism

Kosovo Security Force with concrete and committed

engagement, from November last year until now, is

closing one more very successful year of development,

professionalism and overall in all fields, as local also the

international ones.

With serious work and discipline, with a good planning

of KSF commanding staff and its units and also with a

good management and efficient function of command

and control, the KSF has marked success on conducting

its mission, has successfully carried out all the duties, by

being active and cooperative with local and

international institutions in Kosovo as well as

interoperable with militaries of regional partner

countries and beyond.

The results of the Kosovo Security Force are visible and

measurable, first it is the scale of the KSF reliability to

the citizens, which can be seen by the results of public

opinion polls that align the KSF for years in one of the

institutions with high reliability, then awards that the

units and members of the KSF have earned either in the

individual or team competitions where have been

adorned with gold, as well as the successes of KSF

contingents, in cooperation with other local emergency

institutions, and then exercises with KFOR as well as exercises in region and beyond in which the KSF has proved that it is

on a good track to be in pace with other armies.

KSF has marked a success in integrating females and minorities in its ranks and has shown commitment on creation of a

working environment suitable and equivalent. This year, have graduated the first KSF officers by the Serb community, who

based on the cooperation agreement, have completed the Military Academy of the Republic of Macedonia, to be integrated

all together for service in the KSF, indiscriminately.

In this case I would like to emphasize also the good cooperation that the Ministry for Kosovo Security Force and the Kosovo

Security Force continue to have with the NATO Advisory Liaison Team for MKSF and KSF, the good cooperation with the

National Guard of Iowa and with other strategic partners. Also in this year we've had a good cooperation with neighboring

countries we gave our contribution in regional security initiatives, in benefit of peace and security not only in the region but

also beyond. With the purpose of realization of the transformation process of the KSF into Kosovo Armed Forces (KAF) and

realization of strategic objectives, the MKSF has submitted the draft-constitutional amendments for amending the

Constitution, in order to open the road for transformation of the KSF into KAF. Also was submitted the draft law for

Transformation of Kosovo Security Force into Kosovo Armed Forces. These draft laws according to the procedure were

submitted to the Government, which already has submitted them to the Headship of Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.

Kosovo Security Force with its numerous and comprehensive activities, with engagement and committed work, based on

military professional standards has executed all the planned tasks, therefore rightly we conclude that the KSF has strongly

proven than it is on the high level of the task to take on the new mission, the mission of establishing Kosovo Armed Forces.

The year 2016, year of successes for the KSF

Today is an important day, as we mark the eighth anniversary of the Kosovo

Security Force, establishment, which one, in a very short time became the most

trusted Institution in the country. The Kosovo Security Force as an uniformed,

professional, multiethnic and lightly armed Force, which is subject to civilian

democratic control since its establishment 2009, is committed to the professional

upgrading and development of the capacities in fulfillment of its constitutional

mission for implementation of crisis respond operations, support to civilian

authorities and assistance to the citizens of Republic of Kosovo, regardless.

The KSF is upgraded, developed and advanced in a short timeframe, in line with

NATO standards and in close cooperation and coordination with our partners,

thus becoming a contributor to security and the most trusted Institution in the

country. Moreover, our main goal is making the KSF interoperable, reliable

partner and contributor to security in the region and in the world, alongside our

partners. The Kosovo Security Force due to its commitment and professionalism

of its members, for the three consecutive years was announced to be the most

trusted Institution in the country. This trust of our citizens has given us extra

motivation to be even more committed and closer to the citizens of the Republic

of Kosovo, in creating a safe environment and improve their living conditions.

Also, during this year, the KSF has continued with mine clearance areas by

demolishing and destroying dozens of unexploded ordnance. At the same time,

the KSF during this year has carried out dozens of humanitarian projects throughout Kosovo, thus improving infrastructure and

living conditions of its citizens. Also, with its search and rescue capacities, medical capacities and with others stayed close to the

citizens of Republic of Kosovo with provision of necessary assistance and help to them. The Kosovo Security Force is

multiethnic Force which reflects ethnic diversity of citizens of Republic of Kosovo with equal opportunities for all citizen

irrespective gender and ethnicity. The KSF is steadfast to make integration of all communities living in Republic of Kosovo,

giving them equal opportunities in development and schooling. This year, we have the first ones, coming from Serbian

communities who have graduated at Military Academy of Macedonia. These new Officers, already integrated to Units are serving

with pride to the country. The Kosovo Security Force intensively is working on development and promotion of its capacities into

the country as well as in international area, aiming to become interoperable Force, reliable partner and security contributor to the

region and world. In the course of the year 2016, the KSF has sent cadets to Military Academies in six countries of the world while,

for the first time, two cadets are admitted to the prestigious US Academy – West Point. The Kosovo Security Force has organized

Field Exercise “Eagle 5”. This year, for the first time, as part of this exercise were called partners from US Army For Europe,

IOWA`s National Guard, KFOR and countries of the region as well. Moreover, the KSF has joined four regional field exercises,

where it operated alongside numerous partner countries, with the solely purpose advancing and developing the capacities and

accomplishing interoperability with the partners. Also, KSF has participated in various multinational military competitions in the

country and abroad, reaching excellent results as an individual and as a team. This year, the KSF participated in the race for the

best soldier together with KFOR soldiers, thus, winning the first and second place; in the KFOR team competition, again, taking

the first place; in international competition in Croatia winning first place in the women's category; and finally in the competition

"Cambrian patrol" in the United Kingdom taking the gold medal in a very high competition attended by 110 teams from 19

different countries of the world. The Kosovo Security Force will continue to make development and promotion of the professional

capacities in order to be ready make fulfillment of its mission support to civilian authorities and Kosovo`s citizens. But at the

same time, while we are waiting for the decision to on transformation into the Kosovo Armed Forces, we have done all the

necessary planning and preparations to make this happen. The Kosovo Security Force together with the help of partners aims to

build a Professional Defense Force, multiethnic, that would be good of the country and all citizens of Kosovo and contributor to

regional and international security. With the hope that 2017 will be a year of many successes, the year when we will start

implementation of our long-term plans, I thank you all, for the support and encouragement you are giving us, all the time. In

particular I would like to thank all the soldiers, NCOs, officers and their families for the sacrifices they make every day, just to be

prepared and ready to fulfill our mission in the service of the country and all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.

Squadron of Rapid Reaction Brigade of the Kosovo Security Force comprised of 8 members was decorated with Golden Medal in one of the most challenging and prestigious exercises in the world, Cambrian Patrol'' in Wells of United Kingdom. The decoration ceremony with Golden Medal closely was attended by the KSF Commander, Lt. Gen. Rrahman Rama who by seeing the challenges level while having this exercise showed to be extremely satisfied with performance of the squadron. During conducting of the patrol, the KSF team, even though participating for the first time has shown exceptional professionalism, reaching the same level with the elite units of the most advanced armies in the world. In this exercise, besides 102 teams from different units of the British Army have participated a total of another 18 guest teams, including troops coming from Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, Pakistan, Nepal, Brazil, Chile, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ireland, India Belgium, Czech Republic, Australia, New Zealand, Georgia, Mexico, and Latvia. Until the 6th phase only 10 teams, including KSF teams managed to be decorated with golden medal, many others have managed only to ended or have been awarded with medals of silver and bronze, and 16 others due to health reasons or in the absence of adequate preparations are withdrawn from the exercise.

The KSF won Golden Medal at "Cambrian Patrol" race in United Kingdom

After one –year of education at the Royal Military

Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom, the

officer of the Kosovo Security Force, Ismail Hoxha

won Best International the officer-cadet price, thus

becoming the first officer from the Balkans winning

such an award. Commander for the Kosovo Security Force (KSF)

accompained by Ambassador of Kosovo in London,

Mr. Lirim Grajçevci attended graduation ceremony of

cadets at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the

United Kingdom .On this occassion, he said that "I feel

very honored and privileged to be here today in the

capacity of Commander. It is an honor and historic

event for the Kosovo, the KSF, family and for all of us" To the KSF Officer, Ismail Hoxha during the ceremony was given a sword as a sign of honor for the prize won by

Prince Charles, who awards the highest prices on behalf of the United Kingdom and the British Royal Academy. Prince Charles, before the audience was addressed: "Today is a day of celebration to announce the great

achievements of people who deserve the warmest congratulations. You're taking your prices at a time when the

military occupation is dipping in the troubled waters. The pillars of the international order are being challenged like

never before throughout my life. At the same time a cult of death and destruction is paraded through ancient lands

with attraction of number of scared young people who ends up dead. In the face of these challenges, traditional

KSF officer, Ismail Hoxha was declared the best one at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst of the United Kingdom

KSF Sergean is awarded with golden medal

The Training and Doctrine Command Members (TRADOC) of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) are awarded with Gold and Silver badges in the race "The best soldier in the shooting", held at Camp Bondsteel in Ferizaj as part of cooperation with American KFOR and the KSF. Florim Bujupi, Sergeant in TRADOC was awarded with the Golden badge after crossing all disciplines, while the silver medal was given to the Corporal, Enver Ahmeti and Arben Reshani, both the Training and Doctrine Command members in Ferizaj.

In the military range "Gjakovo" in Grubisnjo Polje, Croatia,

dated 11th and 12th May, 2016, was held the official ceremony

for the announcement of the best soldier for 2016, where the first

place in the women's race belonged to the Lietunenat Manushaqe

Nura, while in the men race the third place belonged to Corporal,

Binak Podrimcaku and the 13th place was taken by Corporal Feti

Pronaj. The race for selecting the best soldier which is held annually in

Croatia is one of the strongest military races in the world. To this

race attended representatives of NATO 15 countries and more

representatives of Croatia partner countries. In the race for the selection of the best soldier at the international

level took part 145 soldiers, who marched 40 kilometers with

17.6 kilogram load on the back passing-executing 13 military

duties. Even this time, in this race, the KSF was distinguished for its excellent performance proving highly –

professionally prepared in addition to other participants of the NATO countries. In overall to the KSF and Kosovo,

this is a very great success, given the strong competition of international participants. Once again, this has proved

professional equality of the KSF with participant armies in the selection of the best soldier in Croatia for 2016.

KSF Liuetenant, Manushaqe Nura, the first one at International Race held in Republic of Croatia

British values of fair-behavior, civilization, a dose of humor in trouble-remain as valuable as they have ever been,

"said Prince Charles. While the best cadet officer Hoxha said that he never has felt more proud and excited. This is a special day for me. This title is both a privilege and an additional duty which I will prove with much more work and commitment in the best of the KSF and Kosovo. Toghether with Hoxha officer graduated two more KSF officers, Fitore Fazliu and Besfort Krum.Also, other KSF Officers have completed studies at this Academy who always were distinguished with their performance.

The KSF members took first place in the running race "Run for the Fallen'' in Bondsteel

The Kosovo Security Force Member, Granit Kryeziu, positioned

to the First Battalion of Rapid Reaction Brigade (RRB) in Gjilan

was awarded with Golden Medal after taking the first place in the

running of 5 kilometers in the male category at the race "Run for

the Fallen'' in the KFOR camp,, Bondsteel'' in Sojevë, as sign of

honor for the victims in the Penslyvania State (USA). Also, The First Battalion members were awarded with bronze

medal by taking the third place in marching "Iron Trail", the

medal given to the Srg. Besim Behluli. The KSF, respectively The First Battalion of Rapid Reaction

Brigade took part at marching of 22.5 kilometers with 15

members carrying cargo and individual equipment and with one

member in the running of 5 kilometers.

The KSF inaguarated the Search and Rescue Center

The Kosovo Security Force (KSF) with a great ceremony at barrack "Young Europians" of Civil Protection Regiment of the KSF in Bardh i Vogël (Pomozatin), the first of its kind in the KSF and Kosovo as well. On this occassion, President of the Country, once, the General Commander of the KSF, Mr. Hashim Thaci said that "The KSF is the best indicator of the state and society character ''. It`s gradually strengthened in terms of maintaining operational capacity, readiness to support institutions, communities, NGOs and cooperation with our partners". Meanwhile, the Minister for the Kosovo Security Force, Mr. Haki Demolli, initially thanked all partners as Sweden, the US and Turkey which have helped on establishing of the Training Center and also thanked the partners of NATO Team Liaison Office who contributed to this very significant process to the Kosovo Security Force. On his part, the Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, General Rahman Rama spoke about the successes in terms of enhancing capacity by presenting in this case the role, importance and objectives of KSF Training Centre for Search and Rescue. Prior to the demonstrations, President Hashim Thaçi, Minister of KSF, Haki Demolli, Commander of the KSF, General Rahman Rama and Colonel Shaip Haziri, Head of Civil Protection Regiment cut the ribbon and made the inauguration of the Search and Rescue Training Centre. At the end, all the participants closely saw the skills and abilities demonstration of the members of the Civilian Protection Regiment in professional manner response to some scenarios with situations that demanded emergency response for search and rescue of victims caused by the earthquake in the simulated situation. Centre for Search and Rescue training of CPR with its mission aims to train and professionalize the members due to be able coping with emergencies caused by natural disasters and other emergencies. Also, aims training of the other local agencies dealing with this area and intends to become a Regional Center of Excellence for Search and Rescue.

Memorandum of Cooperation among MKSF and Ministry of Defense of Hungary

Minister for Kosovo Security Force, Mr. Haki Demolli and Minister of Ministry of Defense of Republic Hungary, Mr. István Simicskó, dated 10th June 2016 in Budapest signed off bilateral Memorandum of Cooperation among both Institutions. Minister Demolli has thanked Minister Simicsko, the Hungarian state and people of it for the constant given support to Kosovo, institution and its people. "The Hungary has supported Kosovo in all stages of its attempts for state- building, recognized Kosovo`s state and contributed to the Kosovo security and stability in particularly shall be appreciated its commitment for giving support to Kosovo`s agenda for membership to NATO and integration to European Union "–said the Minister Demolli. From his side, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Hungary, Istvan Simicsko confirmed once again the support from the

Ministry of Defense and Republic of Hungary offered to the Republic of Kosovo in all areas, especially in the field of Euro-Atlantic integration. The agreement of bilateral cooperation between the Ministry of KSF and Ministry of Defense of Hungary intends official cooperation in the field of education and training, exchange of experiences on the path towards Euro-Atlantic integration, management of human resources, crisis management, budget etc.

Minister Haki Demolli hosted Operation Assistant of NATO General Secretary, Mr. Patrick Turner

Minister of Ministry for Kosovo Security Force, Mr. Haki Demolli with collaborators dated 29th January 2016 hosted NATO General Secretary Operation Assistan, Mr. Patrick Turner. Minister Demolli on behalf of Ministry and KSF thanked Mr. Turner for NATO commitment through KFOR for maintaining peace and stability in Rep. of Kosovo as well advising and liaison NATO team for the KSF that North-Atlantic Alliance provided as support to Ministry and the KSF. Minister Demolli during meeting informed Mr. Turner linked to excellent cooperation of the KSF with KFOR in developing a range of joint operations such as search and r e s c u e e t c . , a s w e l l p r o c e s s o f transformation, thus, expressing his vision o n b u i l d i n g a n d d e v e l o p m e n t o f professional Force with NATO criteria and standards. Whereas, Commander of the KSF, Lt. Gen. Rrahman Rama, Mr. Patrick Turner informed on development of the KSF in support to civilian authorities for all citizens of the country without difference and that the KSF is interested to make further development of its capacities.

Commander of US Army Europe Command met the Minister and Commander of KSF

Minister for Kosovo Security Force, Mr. Haki Demolli and Comamnder of KSF Lt. Gen Rrahman Rama held a meeting at Goverment

premises with US Army Europe Commander, Gen. Ben Hodges. Minister Demolli thanked General Hodges for engagement of American military within KFOR, commitment of USA to Kosovo

specifically American Army and IOWA`s National Guard. Further, Minister Demolli notified General Ben Hodges with development

and promotion of the KSF as well with preparations on its transformation of the Armed Forces. Whereas the KSF Commander , Gen. Rrahman Rama notified Gen. Hodges on mission , structure, capacities , operational readiness of

the KSF and the success of the KSF in building cooperative relations with many of the armies of the NATO countries, as well as

operations conducted by the mission for the good of the country and all citizens of Kosovo. Wheras, as for the flow of the KSF transformation process was presented by the Chief of Transformation Office, LTC. Jeton Dreshaj

who briefed to the Gen Hodges and the US delegation on it. On his side, US Army Commander for Europe, Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges expressed to be satisfied with presentation of the KSF

transformation plan. : "I am impressed with quality of the plan. The good plans are optimistic for the future and your decisions. An

internal plan, decision on transformation and when the political leaders do the right things linked to the legislation, then the KSF will

be ready to do his piece of work and I am looking forward to see this happen".

Minister Haki Demolli hosted Minsiter of Defense of Croatia, Josip Buljevic

Minister for Kosovo Security Force (MKSF), Mr.Haki Demolli, dated 7th March 2016, with a state ceremony hosted for an official

visit Minister of Defense of Croatia, Josip Buljevic. Both Ministers, Demolli and Buljevic discussed on the good relations between the two countries, the two ministries and the

readiness to intensify and deepen these relations in the future. During the joint meeting, both delegations uncovered the view of bilateral relationn perspective among Ministries as well discussed

on support that Ministry of Defense and Croatia Armed Forces are giving to the education , training and professional upgrading of

Officers, NCOs and the KSF cadets to the Training Center and The Croatia Defense Academy. Minister of the KSF Haki Demolli, also during the meeting has informed the Minister Buljeviç on the process of planning the

transformation of KSF into the Armed Forces (CAF), then Minister Demolli asked for support from him to Kosovo on its path

towards membership in international initiatives in the field protection with an emphasis on ''Adriatic 5'', RACVIAC, and in other

international organizations in which Kosovo is not a member yet. On his side Minister of Defense of Croatia, Josip Buljeviç said that Kosovo is important for the Republic of Croatia. Albanians who

live in Croatia are a bridge between Croatia and Kosovo Albanians and then, the contribution of Albanians in the most difficult days

for Croatia and our common history. Afterwards, Croatian Minister said that will not have lack of the support from the Ministry of Defense of Croatia and the Croatian

state for Kosovo's integration in the European Union and NATO.

Minister and Commander of KSF hosted Admiral Mark Ferguson III

Minister of Ministry for Kosovo Security Force (MKSF), Mr. Haki Demolli together with Commander of KSF, Lt. Gen. Rrahman Rama dated 28th April 2016 met with Commander of Allied Joint Force Command in Naples, Admiral Mark E. Ferguson III, who was accompanied, also by the KFOR Commander, Major General, Guglielmo Luigi Miglieta. Minister Demolli, on this occasion notified Admiral Ferguson with achievements and overall developments in MKSF and KSF, cooperation with KFOR, Liaison Advisory teams of NATO to the KSF, intensity of the KSF development, visit in the USA and in particularly the KSF development process. . From his side, Commander of Allied Joint Force Command in Naples, Admiral Ferguson, highly assessed the developments and achievements of the KSF in generally. He added that the overall security in Kosovo is extremely good and that Kosovo is a story of success. Also, Admiral Ferguson mentioned that KFOR in Kosovo will further keep its Forces with capacities that have in order to provide the overall security.

Minister Demolli and Commander of KSF, Gen Rama had important meetings in Pentagon, Washington DC and IOWA`s State

Minister for Kosovo Security Force, Haki Demolli, along with the Commander of the KSF, General Rahman Rama, during his official visit to the US held important meetings in the Pentagon, Washington DC and in the IOWA`s state with high state and military US dignitaries , as chief of the National Guard of the United States , General Frank Grass, with Gen. Kenneth Mekenzi, Chief of J-5 of the US Army Joint Command , the Governor of Iowa state, Terry Branstad, Commander of Iowa National Guard, General Timothy Orr, etc. In Pentagon, Minister Demolli and General Rama was officially received by the chief of the National Guard of the United States, General Frank Grass, where they talked about relations between Kosovo and US in the field of security, the process of transformation of the KSF, as well as important on safety issue. Minister Demolli, on his side , thanked General Grass on good cooperation among both countries and Institutions and constant support given to Kosovo and in particularly to the Security Force. Whereas General Grass expressed support to Kosovo`s Institution on creation of infrastructure which guarantees a peaceful and safety environment of Rep. Of Kosovo. Whereas in Washington DC General Keneth Mekenzi, once again reaffirm support of USA for Kosovo. Also, he congratulated General Rama on admission of two KSF cadets in West Point Military Academy .This academy has a long tradition over 200 years old and is well-known in the world.

US Congress supports Kosovo in the Partnership for Peace

Minister of KSF, Mr. Haki Demolli and COMKSF,Lt.Gen. Rrahman Rama dated 19th of May 2016 was hosted for a working meeting by Ambassador of USA, Mr.Greg Delawie. Minister Demolli thanked Ambassador Dellawie for the continued support that the United States have provided and still do that to make professional upgrading for the KSF, cooperation with the IOWA`s National Guard, and to request the Congress to begin preparations for Kosovo to enter to NATO's Partnership for Peace (PfP), within NATO. During meeting, Minister Demolli and Ambassador Delawie talked on overall developments in Ministry with special mentioning to the KSF transformation process. On his side, Ambassador Delawie expressed satisfication on so far cooperation among both countries as well of the KSF with IOWA`s National Guard. He pledged that USA will further continue the KSF tarnsformation process and assist the KSF in the future.

COMKSF. Lt. General, Rrahman Rama attended NATO Defense College in Rome

Kosovo Security Force Commander, Lt. General Rrahman Rama dated 09-13 May 2016, attended senior course "Generals, Flag Officers and Ambassadors' Course", held at NATO Defense College in Rome. Purpose of this course is notification on current political –military issues and concerns which influence Alliance as well increasing mutual interest and promote collaboration network between participating Generals, senior officers and ambassadors and civilians with equivalent ranks. The overall program of the course was designed for analysis and discussions on key issues and challenges which the Alliance is currently facing and how does the NATO make application of recommendations from Wells and Chicago `s Summits; Strategic Concept of the year 2010; its operational role in Afghanistan within mission of Support Resolution; how does it monitors closely developments in Ukraine, Iraq and Syria; as well preparation of the next summit of NATO in Varsave. The course is focused on shaping of the strategic level, shape the new political and strategically environment and influence of them to NATO and to civilian-military politician -makers dealt with NATO. Course participants have benefited from question and answer session and free approach to academic policy having a chance to use the full potential of lecturers. General Rama during the course of NATO also had meetings with generals and other participants of the course.

American General, Timothy Orr visited the KSF Units

Commander of the IOWA`s National Guard (USA), Major General Timothy Orr, dated 29. 06 to 07. 02. 2016 together with the

KSF Commander, Lieutenant General Rahman Rama, conducted working visits to all the KSF units. General Orr was a participant to the cadets graduation ceremony of the Center for the KSF University Studies dated July 1, 2016 at

the barracks "Skanderbeu" in Ferizaj, where he congratulated the cadets for their success during the four years of studies.

continues to do to the KSF in its professional building through training and various donations, emphasizing cooperation with the

Iowa National Guard. Finally, the Commander of the Iowa National Guard congratulated the Commander of KSF, Unit Commanders, officers and

NCOs of the KSF for their accomplishments, professional, and pledged support to the development of young leaders with the

purpose of establishing and maintaining current operational capacities.

Minister of KSF Haki Demolli hosted Director of Division for Policy and Plans to NATO

The Minister for the Kosovo Security Force (MKSF), Mr. Haki Demolli, on August 24th, 2016, received a NATO delegation led

by Mr. Paul Savereux, Director of Defense Plans and Policy Division of the Alliance. Minister Demolli thanked the delegation of

the NATO for contribution that KFOR is providing to the security in the country and for the work of the NATO advising teams in

MKSF and KSF. He informed the delegation of the

Rrahman Rama informed delegation from Brussles with teh KSF professional development, high reliability that KSF has to local opinion, and also increase the credibility to minorities living in Kosovo, especially to the Serb minority. He also announced the participation of the KSF in training and exercises abroad, both in the region and wider. On his side, the Director of Defense Plans and Policy Division of the Alliance, Mr. Paul Savereux, said that: NATO is committed on development of Kosovo whereas as for the KSF transformation into Kosovo Armed Forces said that this depends on Kosovo`s state and it shall be done in accordance with potential and needs of Kosovo, therefore this process and its modalities shall be decided by the Kosovo itself.

NATO mandates Advising and Liasion Team for Ministry of the KSF and the KSF

At KFOR headquarters in Pristina, at Film City base, on August 24th, 2016, the ceremony of upgrading the NATO Advisory and Liaison Team for the Ministry of KSF and the Kosovo Security Force. In the solemnly act of mandating NALT for MKSF/KSF atteneded Minister of KSF, Haki Demolli, Commander of KSF , Lt. Gen. Rrahman Rama and senior staff of MKSF/KSF. Minister Demolli thanked NATO and KFOR on their commitment for maitanance of peace and security in the country especially thanked NATO for

caring and upgrading of the Local; Security Institution in the Republic of Kosovo as well for the contributing –role and importance of the both NATO teams for MKSF and the KSF. He said that NAT/ NLAT since the year 2009 have had a mission to make development and professionalisation of Ministry and the KSF whereas the ex-advsiors and those who are present and that will come after you are an value to the MKSF /KSF becasue NATO doctrines and standards are values on which the defense system of the Kosovo will be built. As commander of the KSF, General Rahman Rama, said that, our vision and our common goals make our work very successfully and this cooperation will give its fruits in the future. The KSF Commander, General Rama, for his contribution on the top of NLAT team and for the excellent cooperation with the KSF, Brigadier General, and Ernest Horn awarded "Selfless Service Medal ". In this ceremony also spoke NATO representatives, Mr. Paul Savereux and Michel Soula, Commander of KFOR, Major General Guglielmo Miglieta, NLAT Director, Brigadier General Ernest Horn, Director of NAT for MKSF, Mr. Dominic Braithwaite. The new NALT director is appointed Brigadier General, Dietmar Mosmann.

Commander of US Army Europe, General Hodges: KSF is ready expecting political decision on transformation

On September 27, 2106 - The KSF Commander, Lieutenant General Rahman Rama, at the Ministry premises hosted the Commander of the US Army for Europe, Gen. Ben Hodges, which was introduced with the KSF achievements and developments on the transformation process of the KSF into Kosovo Armed Forces. US General Hodges expressed support for the KSF in its vision, providing support for more specific needs in the way of further development and professionalization of the KSF. For General Hodges and the US delegation, Lieutenant Agron Bajrami presented the topic: "KSF and its transformation process", while Colonel Ilir Ceric briefed on international cooperation and partnership with other countries built so far. Afterwards, Gen. Hodges together with General Ramën visited University Study Center of the KSF where the US General held a lecture and talked to our cadets. He said that talent owned by the KSF members made him optimistic for Kosovo mentioning that the KSF will be the one to make development of Kosovo state. Whereas, at Media Conference, Gen. Hodges said that the cadets he met are Kosovo`s future. "I want you to look back to me.This is the future of Kosovo. These extraordinary boys and girsl even that have other solutions were volunteers to give contribution to their country. Also, I think that under leadership of Gen.Rama and with capabilities having here, the KSF will make development of Kosovo". He expressed that: What I have seen from the soldiers is impressive.Yesterday, in Albania in the joint exercises; I have seen young soldiers prepared and motivated. I think, you have conducted some rescuing activities in Albania therefore, now you have taken a decision for transformation which, also should be supported in Parliament". Commander of US Army for Europe , General Hodges accompained by General Rama have visited Civil Protection Regiment in Pomozotin,where his Commander , Col. Shaip Haziri informed on mission , duties and operational capabilities of the specialised Units as well preperation on inaguaration of Search and Rescue Center of Civil Protection Regiment. Center of Urban Search and Rescue General Hodges himself took the role of an injured worker, as he said, to test the capabilities and equipment of the KSF "I tried myself your capabilities and equipments having confidence in your capabilities , equipment and your professionalism, "he said.

Commander of KSF was hosted by Chief of Armed Forces of Italy

On 26th Sept 2016, Commander of Kosvo Security Force (KSF), LT. Gen.Rrahman Rama, upon invitation of Chief of Armed Forces of Italy, Lt. Gen. Danilo Errico stayed for an oficial visit in Rome.At General Staff of Armed Forces ,General Rama was hosted by Lt. Gen. Danilo Errico,where during the meeting was talked on relations among both countries in the security area , as well cooperation among the KSF and Italy`s Armed Forces. General Rama has thanked General Errico for contribution of Italy`s Armed Forces providing to security and peace in Kosovo particulary for their contribution on development and promotion of the KSF. He informed General Errico, as well on developments of the KSF, active particpation in joint exercises as well the transformation process of the KSF into Kosovo Armed Forces. Also, Commander of the KSF informed General Erricoon on the security in Kosovo and signing of the agreement of cooperation with many countries expressing wish to sign an agreement like this , even with the Italy. On his side, Chief of Armed Forces of Italy, General expressed to be ready to sign continuation of cooperation and intensification of it in the future.

IOWA`s National Guard soldier visited MKSF and LFC

A delegation of 61 militaries of various ranks from IOWA`s National Guard of USA dated 13 Septb 2016 visited Ministry for Kosovo Security Force and Land Force Command. The visit of american soldiers aims strengthening of strategic partnership and deepening of cooperation in the security area as well extension of knowledges of IOWA`s National Guard soldiers and of Fleet Air linked to history of Rep. Of Kosovo. The Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, General Rahman Rama, after welcoming the American soldiers, said: "This visit is welcomed and will affect our understanding and mutual strengthening of our bilateral relations and partnership with IOWA and the United States. The General Rama notified the US military on the general developments in the KSF, in particular developments on the KSF process of transformation. Commander of KSF, General Rama, thanked the delegation of the US militaries for the visit and through them the Iowa National Guard, US and Command of US Army for Europe for their generous support to the Ministry and the Kosovo Security Force and Republic of Kosovo in generally. US military delegation accompanied by BG. Enver Cikaqi- TRADOC Commander, conducted working visits to the Land Forces Command and the KSF Center for University Studies in Pristina The delegation of the Iowa National Guard in Kosovo as well, visited the city of Prizren, the Third Battalion of the Rapid Reaction in Mitrovica and many cultural and historical important places.

Minister Haki Demolli met US Generals Altman and De Haes from IOWA National Guard

On 13th Sept 2016 Minister for Kosovo Security Force (MKSF) Haki Demolli hosted for a meeting Generals Steven Altman and William De Haes from IOWA`s National Guard who thanked for support that IOWA`s National Guard is providing to the KSF. On this occasion, Minister Demolli informed Generals Altman and DeHaes and developments in KSF, its relations with partners and the KSF process of transformation into the Kosovo Armed Forces. During meeting, Minister Demolli assessed that USA support as strategical partner of Rep. of Kosovo and MKSF is quite important even for the future especially in direction of upgrading and stregthening of security Institutions in the country. Meeting of Ministers with US Generals si conducted in frame of visit of delegation of 61 US soldiers of various ranks from IOWA`s National Guard. In MKSF was held the Fifth Conference "KSF and Partners"

In Minsitry for Kosovo Security Force (MKSF) dated 28th Oct 2016, was held the second Conference "KSF and Partners" under arrangment of Department for Cooperation and Security in MKSF. In the opening remark of Minister of KSF, Haki Demolli said that: Ministry for Kosovo Security Force and the KSF as primary objective have intensification of cooperation with partners t h r o u g h w h i c h p a r t n e r countries of Republic of Kosovo are offerring support in various ways in upgrading of our capabilities. These kind o f m e e t i n g s l i k e t h i s conference or joint exercises like the yesterday exercise "Eagle V", where participants of its planning and realisation were soldiers and officers of U S A r m y a n d K F O R members whereas many soldiers of partner countries used to be in position of observers and they a re affecting not only the growth of interaction between us, but a l s o i n c r e a s e t h e opportunities for the development of proper training in accordance with the North-Atlantic standards, which are the ultimate goal of the KSF and the Republic of Kosovo as a whole. As commander of the KSF, General Rahman Rama, said that KSF since its establishment has been committed to built capacities in personnel as well in infrastructure, equipment and creation of better conditions for our members. He speaking to the participants said: "You have a key role in this regard, because everything we have done so far was in partnership with you and based on the NATO standards and the continuation of this excellent cooperation is very important for further development of the KSF as an institution for the benefit of the country and as security contributor ". Also, in this Conference speeches were delivered by KFOR Dep/Comamnder , BG Christian Riener, General, Steven Altman from IOWA`s National Guard and General Mosmman, NLAT Director. The Conference proceedings "KSF and Partners" was chaired by Col. Ilir Qeriqi whereas Directors , Chiefs and Officers of MKSF Departments presented the developement objectives as well challenges and needs for the future. Also, Defense Atatches of partner countries from: US, United Kingdom, Turkey, Albania, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Germany, Netherland, Macedonia and Japan presented capacities and offers for provision of support in the KSF field of interest for the future time as well discussed on activities in frame of bilateral cooperation plan in the future. Purpose of the Conference was growth of mutual cooperation and interaction among the KSF, partner countries, NATO Advsiory and Liasion Team for MKSF and the KSF, represenattives of other Institutions of Rep. Of Kosovo from the security and diplomacy area in order to make comprehensive approach of relevant Institutions for synchronisationa and interaction among our Institutions to the bets of capabilities development of the Kosovo Security Force.

Minister Haki Demolli hosted deputy secretary for operations of NATO Secretary General John Manza

Minister of Ministry for KSF Mr. Haki Demolli on 06.10.2016 hosted in official meeting deputy assistant for operation of NATO secretary general Mr. John Manza, informing him about cooperation with NLAT in MKSF and KSF. He's cited that advising and coordinating with NATO mechanism helps KSF develop with standards, which enable interoperability, as well as prepare our security institutions for membership into international mechanism; regional and global initiatives and in north Atlantic alliance. While regarding the KSF transformation process into Kosovo armed forces, Minister Demolli said that entire process is fully transparent for domestic and international institutions. This force will be in service of all Kosovo's citizens, which will serve peace and stability in region and wider. From his side, Mr. John Manza confirmed that NATO attently following the KSF development by reviewing the liter of prime Minister of Republic of Kosovo, where soon will come with an answer. " your strategy that through participation in joint exercise operations, wither in Kosovo or partner countries, is very good, and I assure you about supporting the KSF strategy, that through joint exercises with NATO countries, partner countries, to prove its interoperability capabilities" said at the end the deputy assistant for operations of NATO secretary general Mr. John Manza.

KSF commander Lt.general Rrahman Rama, from 1 to 5 October was part of annual conference of American military association, which took place in Washington US. KSF commander Lt.General Rrahman Rama during his visit in USA was hosted by Iowa National Guard commander major general Timothy Orr, discussing about the continuation of cooperation between KSF and Iowa National Guard. General Rama also met with high military figures attending conference and weapon and defense systems fair.

8 Independence anniversary

KSF Minister Haki Demolli along with KSF commander Lt. general Rrahman Rama and high officials from KSF and KSF, commenced the manifestation of Kosovo independence 8 anniversary with tributes at memorial of legendary commander Adem Jashari in Prekaz, and as a sign of respect, laid bouquets with flowers and paid tributes. Main manifestation regarding the independence anniversary was held in "Mother Theresa" and "Zahir Pajaziti" boulevards. This is the most important day of Kosovo's history, consisting of sacrifice, sapience, dexterity and commitment to bring into life the ideal of former posterities for a state, said at the beginning the president of Kosovo Atifete Jahjage, adding: "8 years since the declaration of independence, we remember ideals that bond us, commitment for the development and freedom of our country, for every day democracy and also for peace" ". President Jahjaga also hailed KSF for i ts task towards building new force. "Today is a fes t ive day for you KSF members, you managed to sum up the many-month hard and laborious work in building a new defense force you are waiting for, and also other citizens, to have your dreams come true. Kosovo armed forces are your future, our joint future, the future of Kosovo". In the end, president of Kosovo confirmed that independence of Kosovo is assurance of stability and security in Sothern Europe reg ion . Whi le the p r ime M i n i s t e r o f K o s o v o I s a Mustafa, in his speech, in this 8 a n n i v e r s a r y o f K o s o v o independence summarized the overall accomplishments of Republic of Kosovo. Main "KLA EPIC'' manifestation took place in KSF

Main manifestation within the "epic of Kosovo liberation army" under supervision by Government of Republic of Kosovo took place in "Adem Jashari" barracks of land force command of Kosovo Security Force in Pristina. In honor of 18 anniversary of martyrdom of Legendary commander Adem Jashari as well as all those fallen for freedom and independent, in front of lined up squads, walked president of Republic of Kosovo Ms. Atifete Jahjage and commander of Security Force Lt.general Rahman Rama. After the intonation of both anthems the state and national, the leaders of the country, president Atifete Jahjaga, parliament speaker Kadri Veseli, Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, KSF Minister Haki Demolli and Security Force commander Lt.general Rahman Rama laid a wreath at martyrs memorial of liberation Armey and martyrs of all previous posterities. In this occasion president of the country stated: "March 5 is the most important day of Kosovo's history, consisting of sacrifice, wisdom and commitment to bring into reality the aspirations of entire generations for a state, thus is the day of Kosovo- a day we cheer the freedom, a new rebirth for our citizen's build upon the parity foundations."

Furthermore Jahjaga added: "Kosovo is an irretrievable process; a freedom gained after a long and horrible war; a freedom that demanded a huge sacrifice; an eternal friendship with US that have stood by us throughout all stages of country-building chapters. Kosovo is an added value to stability and security, not only in region, a necessary force for good neighborhood. A peace warranted for all that opens up the integration path." At the end of her speech, Jahjaga said;" today is a holiday for you Security Force members, that managed to sum up successfully the many-months task in building a new defense force, just as you do , many citizens are waiting for, to make your dreams come true. Kosovo armed forces are your future, our joint future, the future of Kosovo state" In the honor of KLA epic, commander of Kosovo Security Force Lt.General Brahman Rama took a stage addressing the audience, and audience that consisted of troops he commands and state leader. Among others general said:" learning from the past and learning from examples from the democratic world we pursue a tradition: "honor the past, bold the future". Based on this watchword, KSF Commander said that Kosovo Security Force is working to build a professional force, serving the interest of all its citizens. This force will be built upon our national values and euro Atlantic and western values. This force will be interoperable with all our partners, and ready to help all Kosovo citizens" In the end general Rama said: " it is up to us to push forward the message of our fallen heroes with commitment, because this is how we honor the blood sacrificed and honor the previous fallen heroes" by saying respect for Jashari family; respect for legendary commander Adem Jashari; KLA martyrs, and national heroes. Manifestation was magnified by the presence of the brother of legendary commander Mr. Rifat Jashari, who said:" must be very assertive to preserve and honor the blood of our sons and daughters, to push forward their message for which the paid the ultimate price." Part of this ceremony were president Atifete Jahjaga, assembly speaker Kadri Veseli, prime Minister Isa Mustafa, recently elected president Hashim Thaqi, KSF Minister Haki Demolli, brother of legendary commander Rifat Jashari, government Ministers, ambassadors, attaches and other guests. At the conclusion of event, KSF music band performed some instrumental melodies with tradition, resistance and culture features of our country.

KSF leaders paying tributes to Reçak Memorial

On the 17 anniversary of Reqak genocide committed by Serb military forces against Albanian civilians, paid a visit a delegation of KSF Ministry and KSF led by Minister Haki Demolli, along with deputy Ministers Fadil Gashi and Muhamet Latifi, KSF commander Lt.general Rahman Rama, MKSF secretary general Mr. Shkelzen Sylaj, general Bashkim Jashari, Nazmi B r a h i m a j , G ë z i m H a z r o l l i accompanied by other KSF high officers. In the honor of these fallen heroes, Minister Demolli and general Rama laid a wreath to the Reqak memorial. Minister Demolli visited also the cemetery of martyrs, meeting the families of fallen ones in Reqak, expressing his condolences and pride of their actions. "Blood of martyrs in Reqak along with all others fallen became the foundation of freedom and independent state of Kosovo" .

Within the "Dukagjini Epics" on march 24 2016, KSF Minister Haki Demolli, deputy Minister Fadil Gashi, KSF commander Lt.general Rahman Rama along with ambassador of Republic of Albanian in Kosovo Mr. Email Minxhozi, accompanied by brigade general Zymer Halimi, brigade general Gezm Harold as well as other KSF senior officers paid tribute at Gllogjani martyrs cemetery, laying wreath of flowers, thus honoring fallen martyrs in KLS liberation war. KSF delegation presided by Minister Demolli after tributes, made a visit to Haradainj family, and hosted by family chieftain

Hilmi Haradinaj. In this occasion Minister Demolli expressed his gratitude and deep respect for huge Haradainja family sacrifice, Dukagjini fighters and KLA martyrs. Minister and KSF Commander paid tribute

to "Martyrs Cemetery" in Koshare

KSF Minister Haki Demolli and KSF commander Lt.General Rrahman Rama along with deputy Minister Fadil Gashi, brigade general Nazmi Brahimaj and Gëzim Hazrolli as well as other KSF senior officers, on April 9 2016 took part in the 17 anniversary of "Ditet e shqipes" manifestation of glorious KLA battles in Koshare. Demolli and Rama in martyr's cemetery of "Agim Ramadani" 138 brigade paid tribute and in honor of this brigade placed a wreath with fresh flowers, and met with martyr's families and expressed their condolences and pride for their sons and daughters heroism, in the holy war they fought for breaking the border Kosovo-Albania. Moreover, Minister and commander along with MKSF delegation followed "ditët e shqipes" manifestation, organized under auspices of Republic of Kosovo prime Minister Isa Mustafa.

KSF successfully wrapped up 2016 humanitarian demining operations

Since 2010, KSF Deminers have cleared over 11,720,042 meters square and destroyed over 2177 unexploded ordnance. In 2016 KSF unit shave conducted demining operations in 5 locations managing to clear 221,790 square meters, found 72 different unexploded ordnances. Also KSF/EOD sentry unit shave intervened in 276 cases and have d e m o l i s h e d 3 3 6 d i f f e r e n t explosives. Despite demining units which conduct demining operations, KSF has another two additional sentry units 24/7 for interventions when c i t i z e n s r u n i n t o d i f f e r e n t explosives and call for help. KSF has begun EOD operations from 30 August 2010, starting two guard units one in Prizren and another one in Prizren 24/7. Since beginning these operations, KSF has intervened in 2039 cases, and has demolished 3050 different explosives. In general, since 1999 have been cleared 50,028, 463 square meters, are found 88,730 mines and unexploded ordnance from all organizations involved in clearing mines and other unexploded ordinances. KSF demining units are creating a safe environment in former dangerous places, enabling normal life. These results make us proud for this excellent work done by KSF, saving so many lives and also returning back a swaths of land to communities for their use.

KSF members donated more than 1200 doses of blood for Kosovo citizens

Members of Ministry for Kosovo Security Force and of all units of Kosovo Security Force (KSF) wrapped up a humanitarian

action for blood donation with a watchword" a drop of blood to save a life" The activity was organized by department for civil-

military cooperation and medical department of MKSF, and executed by national blood transfusion center in Kosovo and KSF

medical company. Ministry and KSF have a long tradition in organizing and giving humanitarian blood. Just in first activity, in this year alone are

collected more than 1200 doses of blood, which

will be at disposal for every citizens that needs

them. By this action, KSF members HAVE shown

a great example in terms of helping citizens, thus

increasing the awareness of citizens to respond to

different humanitarian activities and initiatives

such as this one. Dr. Bahrije Halili Gjocaj, the

leader of this humanitarian activity said that KSF

members are becoming an examples in blood

donating. They are regular blood donates that

always voluntarily answered this action, not only

during regular organization, but beyond them.

While director of department for civil-military

cooperation in MKSF Hajrush Kurtaj thanked

KSF members for their readiness during this

activity and for their perpetual commitment in

serving Kosovo's citizens. KSF has already

created some training in organizing blood donation activates countrywide, being a main donator, that only during this year

were collected more than 1240 doses of blood for the needs of National Blood Transfusion Center in Kosovo.

KSF in "Lets Clean Kosovo" Action

Kosovo Security Force members and its leaders, on May 24 became part of country wide activity with a watchword "Let's Clean Kosovo". In this occasion general Halimi hailed participants of this activity, primary schools students, KSF soldiers and citizens of Kosovo. Today, we are participating in environment cleaning because it serves the interest of our kids and citizens. As usually, KSF has and will support such activities which benefit K o s o v o . W h i l e t h e M i n i s t e r o f environment and spatial planning Ferid Agani, after thanking KSF for the support for this activity with soldiers and heavy equipment said: "what we are seeing today is the might of citizens of Kosovo, showing that we are part of Europe, showing a great commitment for the environment, and thus making me sanguine that someday we will have a country we want to have" Former Kosovo's president Ms. Atifete Jahjaga took part in this environment cleaning activity, calling all citizens to take care of environment. While the coordinator of ''Let's clean Kosovo" activity Luan Hasanaj thanked citizens especially Security Force for their continuous support with heavy machinery. In the "Let's Clean Kosovo" activates KSF has removed from illegal dumping sites hundreds of tons of garbage. This activity started in Calabria borough of Pristina, seeing taking part brigade general Zymer Halimi director of directory for operations, chief of land force command headquarter colonel Naim Haziri, Minister of environment and spatial planning Ferid Agani, former Kosovo's president Ms Atifetet Jahjaga, representatives and volunteers from "Let's Clean Kosovo" initiative, primary schools students, as well as other volunteers and citizens.

KSF marked the International Earth Day

For the international earth day on April 22, Ministry for Kosovo Security Force and KSF organized different activates such as

cleaning green sites, planting trees, decorative trees and flowers in the environment of Ministry and KSF sites, along with

cleaning other public sites. Main activity took place in the MKSF site and in the "Adem Jashari: cantonment in Pristina. The

activity marking the international earth day was welcomed and hailed by deputy Minister Fadil Gashi, thanking all participants

which cleaned the surroundings of MKSF and KSF. He asked everybody to take care of environment on daily bases, in order to

increase the quality of life in the living and

working environments. This activity was

conducted in all KSF barracks. Deputy

Minister Fadil Gashi and Muhamet Latifi,

MKSF secretary general Mr. Shkelzen Sylaj,

generals Zymer Halimi, Nazmi Brahimaj and

Gëzim Hazrolli, KSF officers and MKSF civil

staff and members of NAT. NLAT (advising

and liaison team of NATO for KSF) joined the

clueing and planting activity. Moreover, within

the civil-cooperation cooperation, KSF in the

earth day, has been committed, with personnel

and technical means in cleaning Emshir and

Hajvali districts, cleaning the surroundings of

KSF most trusted entity in the Republic of Kosovo

Kosovo Security Force is the one of the most trusted domestic institution based on all surveys in last 5 years, leaving behind all

domestic security institutions country wide. Based on the data's released on April 13 by Kosovar institution for Policy Research and Development on topic: "Monitoring of

Security Sector in Kosovo, November 2015 march 2016. " Biggest approval rate among all security sector leaders goes to Ministry of Ministry for Kosovo Security Force Mr. Haki

Demolli 3.00 scale. Based on the analyses of results by this survey, FSK is at forefront in approval rate by citizens with 3.69 %.

In three surveys and questionnaires with citizens of Kosovo, from Kosovo security barometer, institute for development

research RIINVEST and Kosovar institution for policy research and development KIPRED results that KSF and KSF Ministry

are the most trusted ones with more than 67%. Based on this survey, Ministry of Kosovo Security Force is the most trusted

institution in Kosovo. While based on the results by Kosovo barometer for security published by Kosovo center for security studies in pristine. 88%

of citizens questioned demand KSF be transformed in Kosovo armed forces. . Kosovo Security Force has now seen an increase

of reliability from Serb minority living in Republic of Kosovo. This became a known facto in august 15 2016 in promotion of fourth number of first volume of Kosovo security observer conducted by

Kosovar institution for policy research and developments ( KIPRED).

For two weeks KSF cadets conducted "Youth camp 2016" field exercise in

Zhegoc of Gjilane

University study center of Kosovo Security Force, on 17 June 2016 successfully executed filed exercise "summer camp 2016"

in Zhegoc of Gjilane. The aim of this "summer camp 2016" field exercise is to evaluate cadets on military sciences for 2015-2016 said its

commander major Avni Kiqina, who briefed the audience on the flow of field exercise in this camp. After the demonstrations displayed by KSF cadets, LFC deputy commander brigade general Gëzim Hazrolli hailed cadets for

their commitment and excellent performance. "You must bring into life your aspirations towards creating self-initiative

leaders, therefore I demand from you to use this great opportunity to gain as much as possible from the long experiences of our

supporters from south multinational brigade, as well as from OUR officers with long expiries prior and after the war. As a small

institutions, only with values we may compete and be by our partners' side said in the end general Hazroli. Part of this demonstration displayed by cadets were deputy commander of training and doctrine command colonel Irfete

Spahiu, director of NATO advising team brigade general Ernst Horn, Bonsteel commander colonel Gammom etc.

KSF cadets as most salient, with successful display during "Summer Camp 2016" operations in Krivollak of Macedonia

Summer camp 2016" field exercise( 13.07.2016) organized by defense Ministry and military academy of Macedonia with international nuances, where every year sees a wide participation of cadets from regional countries managed by NATO and partnership for peace (pfp) instructors. This year, besides cadets from different countries, saw also cadets from KSF cadets, which displayed an outstanding performance during 12 day stay in 'summer camp 2016" exercise in Krivollak of Macedonia. Cadets, soldiers and superiors as partakers in this exercise, showed a high evil of commitment, coordination and action among them, acting as a single unit in executing duties outlined in the exercise scenario. Cadets of all countries involved, formed a multinational battalion tasked with differ duties. KSF in joint exercise "Joint Effort-1" in Albania

KSF commander Lt.general Rrahman Rama highly praised the participation of second battalion of Rapid Reaction Brigade of KSF in "joint exercise" exercise. KSF demonstrated high professionalism, commitment, motivation and excellent cooperation with participating militaries in 'JOINT efoort-16" exercise added at the conclusion general Rama. Second battalion of Rapid Reaction Brigade of KSF took part in international exercise 'joint effort" organized by Ministry of defense and armed forces of Republic of Albania along with units of military forces of USA, UK Italy, KSF and Montenegro, held in Biz Albania. More than 1500 troops took part in joint effort exercise, and makes this one of the biggest exercise armed forces had with NATO in last ten years. The aim of "joint effort military exercise was to increase the interoperability amongst participating forces and AF units and HQ operational capacities in planning and executing fighting operations in joint environment and multinational at tactical and operational level.. Minister of Ministry of defense of Republic of Albania MS Mimi Kodheli in "distinguished visitors day" said: "joint effort 2016" exercise presents a great opportunity not only for the improvement of military skills, but also a great opportunity to promote regional and bilateral cooperation, as well as pushing forward of relation in political and diplomatic aspect, without putting aside the promotion and Exchange of cultural assets of countries said in the end MS Kodheli. While American general Ben Hodges underlined: "Albania is very important to the alliance, important to the regional stability and showing its capacity for operations to alliance ".

KSF contingent in joint operations in "Immediate response 16" exercise in Slovenia-Croatia

KSF contingent (26 members) took pa r t i n In t e rna t iona l exe rc i se "immediate response 2016" along with NATO and regional countries such as: England, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Croa t ia , Macedonia , Montenegro, KSF, Slovenia, and Albania held in Slovenia-Croatia. KFS contingent was located in three sites: Novo Mesta, Cerkjle and Zagreb, where together with participating countries was engaged in responses against emerging challenges and situations. KSF contingent commander Lt.colonel Fidaim Elshani said: the aim of this exercise is very clear and in cohesion with reality, like possible real threats, coping with refugee crises and creating proper force for immediate reaction, p r o m o t i n g r e g i o n a l s t a b i l i t y, strengthening partnership capacities and improving NATO interoperability capacities and armed forces of members of partnership for peace.

IN this exercise, KSF was involved in all levels such as: exercise control, liaison officer, battalion operation center, operation tactical center, civil-military cooperation centers all the way to joint reactions for eliminating unexploded ordnance, forest search and rescue as well as medical evacuation and treatment. "Immediate response 2016" exercise has commenced on September 09 and ended September 22 2016.

KSF successfully carried out "Eagle 5" exercise

"Eagle 5" field exercise was conducted based on 2016 annual training plan, KSF commander guidance's for working team and NATO directives on collective training and exercises. The exercise scenario had to with refugees and unfolded in three municipalities, Hani i Elezit, Malisheve and Prizren. 652 members and 11 vehicles took part in exercise, carried out more than 30 security humanitarian operations. In the field camp operational center exercise, director colonel Naima Haziri and camp commander Mehmet Lladrovci informed visitors and those present on process and planning stages, origination and development of field exercise. KSF leaders, Iowa national guard, KFOR closely followed demonstration displayed by KSF specialized units in post incident, interventions of search and rescue units for refugees in Drini i Bardh river, refugee entrance management in border entrances , intervention o Rapid Reaction Brigade unit in border area to eliminator criminal group "Pandora" as well as visit in refugee camps. KSF Minister Mr. Haki Demolli has extolled KSF, Iowa National Guard officers, US Army Europe, KFOR, Kosovo police and other Kosovo agencies for successfully conducting "Eagle 5" exercise. In this occasion he said:" the exercise was meant to test or demonstrate, prove and verified KSF human and military capacities, as well technical capacities regarding different challenges wither humanitarian or security challenges. This KSF capacity demonstration was carried out under presence and

Albania, Macedonia, Croatia and Slovenia. Based on what we can say that KSF is ready to

carry out functions and activates foreseen by KSF

constitutional and legal mandates, meaning that

KSF is ready to change its mandate and mission

and transform into Kosovo armed forces. While

KSF commander Lt.general Rrahman Rama

said:" Eagle 5" operations and activates are a

proof that KSF has capacities to carry out tasks

foreseen in mission. Exercise itself proved that

we are capable of interoperability with domestic

and international institutions. Successful units

testing and success reaped implies that KSF ready

for new duties and responsibilities". The objective of "Eagle five" was to train leaders

and units for collective tasks in order to execute complexes operations in support of civilian authorities in the stage of planning,

execution ate analyses, retention of one tactical readiness level, developing existing capabilities, improving the coordination

with other security entities in operations, deployment of troops from barracks to the operation sites, and the execution of

lessons learned system. Exercise was followed by Minister Demolli, general Rama, KFOR general Fungo, NLAT director

general Mossman, members of parliament from commission on internal affairs, security and KSF supervision, municipality

presidents, KFOR contigents commanders, ambassadors and attaches accredited in Kosovo as well as other invited guests.

KSF students in "West Point"

Within the facility of Ministry for Kosovo Security Force took place the certification ceremony for two KSF cadets Arelena Shala and Ylli Dalldaku that got enrolled in the military academy of United States of America "West Point." In this occasion Minister Demolli said that the news regarding the admission of two KSF cadets in West Point military academy is one of the greatest and hugely important thing for KSF and MKSF, because it pertains with the education of our two cadets in the military academy with long tradition." While KSF commander Lt.General Rrahman Rama expressed his joy that KSF cadets this year began studying west point military academy, a well know academy. General Rama said he feels proud promoting this success, especially feeling great among two cadets receiving the admitting certificates in the most prestigious military academy in the world. KSF commander general Rama hailed Arelen and Ylli for the hitherto achievements. These two candidates have managed to be among 10 best contenders among hundreds of competitors from 150 countries that competed for studies in west point. Cadets Shala and Dalladaku are the first ever KSF cadets that competed and admitted in West Point military academy. They will study in this academy for 4 years then subsequently will come here to serve for Kosovo Security Force (KSF).

KSF new cadets graduate, 2016 generation

In the KSF barracks unfolded solemn ceremony of KSF university study center cadet's graduation, generation 2016. The graduation and promotion of 9 KSF university study center cadets to second lieutenant Minister Demolli labeled it as a great day for KSF. This day is a tap of long hard work, it is a day dreamed about that pushed you 4 years ago to put a uniform on and become KSF member, career officers. Having this youth dream come true obviously demanded perseverance and combined studies in military center and civil universities. This day implies a shift to new developing stage, where you are offered an opportunity to join KSF as an active officer and start career officer. Pertaining cheats success, Minister Demolli extolled TRADOC and USC training staff for their unsparing commitment in preparing and training this generation. KSF is an example of development and progress through investment in knowledge and science. This is a great proof that we are creating a professional force with highest military standards, with NATO standards". While in terms of cadets' education in USC Minister said:" training doctrine and KSF cadets education is fully in line with military knowledge and science and standards of most advanced militaries, combined with parallel civil education, but also future opportunity for specialized fields in military career perspective."

While KSF commander Lt.general Rahman Rama in his speech for the graduation ceremony said:" today we gather to express our gratitude for the bravery and selflessness that our cadets have demonstrated during these 4 years. You managed to overcome innumerable mental and physical challenges, with only one intent, someday to educate and prepare to serve your country and citizens of republic of Kosovo. But I must admit that this is only the beginning of your long journey in this noble profession" General Rama extolled TRADOK staff for their unsparing efforts towards KSF professional development, especially staff of university study center that with commitment and professionalism are working tirelessly for the education and training of new officers... General Rama particular thanked our partners who, as he said" continuously helping us in the important process of education training and enhancing our capacities. KSF new cadets take an oath In the, Adem Jashari'' barracks of Kosovo Security Force in Pristina on September 30 took place the solemn ceremony of cadets oath, who enrolled in a cademic yea r 2016 i n university study center. In the opening remarks of this ceremony, Minister of Kosovo Security Force Mr. Haki Demolli addressed cadets: "from now on, you will be studying very differently from YOUR coevals. Today you begin your studies, which will m a k e y o u e l i g i b l e a n d valuable not only for yourself but also for our institutions and country "At the end of his speech Minister Demolli addressed to cadets' families: "I'm sure that you are very proud of your successes reaped by your sons and daughters. Therefore I use this opportunity to thank for your support to your kids, our cadets towards achieving their goals and wishes, to become cadets, officers of this country. I wish some of them, someday become high officer for Kosovo Armed Forces. From his side, commander of doctrine and training brigade general Enver Cikaqi spoke on role, importance and tradition of KSF cadet's education, adding that from USC have so far graduated and serving currently in KSF 85 officers, which are rendering great performance to their units. At the end of his speech, general Cikaqi hailed USC staff for their perpetual commitment in educating new KSF cadets. Among 16 cadets of this year, one comes from Albania, cadets will be studying also in American university in Pristina and after 4 years, in 2020 will become second lieutenants.

KSF minority cadets graduate

In the military academy " "General Mihailo Apostollski" of Republic of Macedonia Ministry of defense, 4 KSF cadets graduate, along with other from Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. On behalf of KSF, MS Azemina Culum, chief of community office thanked Macedonia Ministry of defense for the continuous support in educating KSF cadets. She said: "due to the agreement of mutual cooperation between MKSF and Macedonia Ministry of defense of 2012, there is an opportunity for KSF members from Serb and Bosnians community to educate at this high level of your military academy, what makes this event special is that these officers are the first ones from Kosovo minorities, educated and professionally prepared will join KSF officer corps"

KSF trained "Airborne team"

Congruent to memo of cooperation between Ministry for KSF and Croatia Ministry of defense, a group of KSF officers and

privates went through a battle airborne basic course in the

Republic of Croatia, specifically in the military academy in

Zagreb. Part of this two-week training were: lieutenant Ilir Beqiri,

corporal Labinot Kelmendi, corporal Faton Rukovci, private

Franjo Kodra, private Besarta Pacolli and private Ilir Kajtazi..

Training was separated in two stages; first part consisted of

theoretical part for main airborne MC1-1C and of reserve one

T10R, while second phase consisted of practical part, leaping

from MI17 chopper. Practical part, jumping with parachute was conducted day and

night with personal gear. Most distinguished soldier is Franjo

Kodraj, managing to score 100 % in all written tests, and all

jumps were finished within the green area. While conducting

practical part, KSF members were visited by deputy commander

of Croatian special operational command and high instructors of

this unit which spoke highly of KSF members. final phase of this training was followed by ceremony of KSF

members certification, in the end of this ceremony deputy

members for their success, willing to continue cooperation and

training even for additional courses for airborne, as well as other

high trainings KFOS offers. Same KSF airborne team took part in" international military parachute jumping week" in the US

Air Force base in Ramstein Germany. In this international competition, invited by US air force took part first KSF airborne team. The purpose of this event was to demonstrate the airborne capabilities, knowledge on parachutes, procedures, with flying devices from participating countries,

as well as familiarization and exchanging experiences. Moreover the aim of everybody was to collect more wings, which

certificate and give wings to parachutes. Based on rules certification and parachute wings supply, this year as certifiers were:

US, Germany and Israel. Terms on giving certificates and wings are: military parachutist must have at least one jump from

respective military flying equipment, to jump with parachute of respective country, to ump under instructions of jumping expert from respective country

etc. KSF members met all these criteria therefore got certified from three certifying countries. KSF team, in coordination with crises reaction team staff (US air force unit) directly under colonel Jerzy Zubr from US Army

has managed to jump with parachute and certified by three certifying countries; therefore it must be mentioned that KSF team

deservedly won and proudly carry wings of US, Germany and Israel.

In "Adem Jashari" barrack of KSF got inaugurated sport facility

In the, Adem Jashari" barracks of KSF land force command in Pristina was held the inauguration ceremony of sport facility for KSF members. Kosovo Security Force is continuously creating biter new opportunities and spaces for the development of its members in intellectual and physical aspect. This facility will enable KSF members to conduct their different physical activates. KSF commander's advisor colonel David Jones, during this ceremony said that he is very impressed with the ongoing conditions while he serves in KSF... he spoke highly of KSF soccer team, remembering some games of this team such as the game played between KSF and Montenegro military. In line with its infrastructure development blueprint, KSF is building other facilities in all barracks.

KSF, Iowa National Guard and US Army Europe ran with watcword "Together for peace"

In "Skenderbeu" boulevard in Pristina, under organization for MKSF civil-military department took place running cross, where more than 300 KSF members, Iowa National Guard and members of US Army Europe took part. First place among male category went to Jasmin Zverko, second was for Valdet Ibrahimi and third place went to Adnan Ademi all three of them KSF members, while among females first place was for private Donjeta Korpuzi, second place went for US army member sergeant Steffany Stock and third place went to private Behare Bytyqi. First three places were rewarded with gold, silver and bronze medals as well as certificates which were given by KSF Minister Haki Demolli, deputy commander of KSF land force command brigade general Gëzim Hazrolli and brigade general Zymer Halimi director of directory

of operations. Race began from Skanderbeg Boulevard all the way to the roundabout close to medical high school "Ali Sokoli" in Pristine and visa verse.
