KTF 600 System for processing volumes less than 400L
The KTF 600 and KTF 1000 Systems weredeveloped for production scale tangential flowmicrofiltration or ultrafiltration of shear sensitiveprocess solutions. Both systems use a single-use non-pulsating levitating magnetic pumpcontrolled by a PLC. The KTF 600 is used toprocess volumes less than 400 liters with amiximum feed rate of 43 LPM at 30 psig (2bar). The KTF 1000 system is used to processvolumes 400+ liters with a maximum feed rateof 100 LPM at 36 psig (2.5 bar). The KTF 600and the KTF 1000 were designed for use withSpectrumLabs.com pre-assembled single-usetangential flow filtration flow paths assemblies(MBTs).
The assemblies come complete with the hollowfiber filter, recirculation and permeate tubing, sin-gle-use levitating pump head, three pressuretransducers and the permeate ultrasonic flowmeter with corresponding aseptic connections onall lines. To generate uniform product yields, tan-gential flow filtration with the KTF 600 or the KTF1000 and the appropriate flow path assembly en-sures smooth continuous processing withoutpressure spikes, particle generation or risk of anyproduct contamination.

Single-use Tangential flow filtration flow path assemblies(MBTs) are preassembled flow paths for easy and quickconnection to the KTF 600 or KTF 1000 tangential flowfiltration systems. The assemblies come complete withthe hollow fiber filter, recirculation and permeate tubing,single-use levitating pump head, three pressuretransducers and the permeate flow meter withcorresponding aseptic connections on all lines. Allwetted materials in the flow path assemblies are USPclass VI, animal, BSE and TSE free.
