An interview at the Tatlici sweet shop in Bahçeköy:

How long has the shop been open? How long have you worked here?

The shop in Bahçeköy was established in 2014, and it has been open for one year.

What kinds of foods do you serve? What are the most popular foods?

are the weekends, Saturday and Sunday.

Do you have customers who come in often? Why do people like to return?

There are, especially Açı students and teachers. Also popular celebrities come here to eat. Eighty percent of people who eat here come back.

What makes your restaurant different from

other restaurants? We believe in our börek

and kuru baklava. We are so strict about our hygiene and taste.

What is the most difficult

part of taking care of a restaurant?

We mostly see cats and dogs. The most popular pets are dogs, cats and birds.

problems you see with cats and dogs?

We have problems with parasites, worms and other illnesses that actually make other animals and humans sick too. We also see problems about their skin and fur.

What is important for people to know about taking care of a pet?

They need to be responsible, need to take care the pets that they buy and to know what they're going to do with the pets every day.

What made you want to take this job? What is your favorite part of the job?

I wanted this job because I love animals so much, and my favorite part of this job is to help animals and being with them.

My favorite place in Edirne was the Lozan peace statue. The statue was gorgeous and it was modern. I feel like that was one of the best statues I've ever seen in my life. This statue symbolizes stuff we gained and stuff we lost after World War I. After this war, capitulation was removed. On the statue there is a women holding a pigeon in her right hand and the contract in her left hand. The pigeon symbolizes peace. Also it kind of shocked me when I

saw a woman, because I thought that it would be a man. It is very nice to have such a gorgeous and incredible statue like that. – Duru Akın

I think the best place in Edirne was the Selimiye Mosque. It was huge and incredible. This place was so important for the Turkish Republic. Most tourists in Edirne come to visit here. Selimiye Mosque is an aristic place – it was created by Mimar Sinan. – Arca Yağcı

Anıtkabir (literally, "memorial tomb") is the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the leader of the Turkish war of Independence and the founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey. It is located in Ankara and was designed by architects Professor Emin Onat and Assistant Professor Ahmet Orhan Arda, whose proposal beat 48 other entries from several countries in a competition held by the Turkish Government in 1941 for a "monumental tomb" for Atatürk.

The site is also the final resting place of Ismet Inonu, the second President of Turkey, who was interred there after he died in 1973. His tomb faces the Atatürk Mausoleum, on the opposite side of the Ceremonial Ground.

The mausoleum was depicted on various Turkish banknotes during 1966–1987 and 1997–2009.

The Ethnography Museum is dedicated to the cultures of Turkish civilization. The building was designed by Arif Hikmet Koyunoğlu and was built between 1925 and 1928. The sarcophagus of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was held at the museum

from Nov. 21, 1938, until Nov. 10, 1953, until Anıtkabir could be completed.

Atatürk’s casket was removed from the sarcophagus and relocated to Anıtkabir in the presence of many of Turkey’s most important elected officials.

Açı Pulse Staff There are many great

locations for holidays for Turkish people. Here are a few to check out:

Hawaii Hawaii is the only U.S.

state that is located in Oceania. Also Hawaii is the only one made entirely of islands. We think that Hawaii is a wonderful place to relax and have fun after all the hard work at school. There are lots of volcanos around Hawaii, and they are still active. The waves at Hawaii are humongous, so you can surf there.

The fish are tastier than the other fishes because they are ocean fish, and the sauces that they prepare and serve on the fish makes it delicious. – Duru Akın and Lara Kader

The beach is a big place and has a water sport part. Most of the beach is sandy.

There are many restaurants and bars. For kids there is an ice cream shop. There is also wind surfing.

Outside Turkey In Turkey for vacations,

everybody goes somewhere outside Turkey. They go to Moscow, Germany or France. They go skiing. They go to football matches.

In Turkey there are fewer things to see, I think,

because Turkey is a little country. There are many interesting things in other countries – why not visit

some other places? – Kaan Katıboğlu

The recent El Clasico was amazing. I guess it was the best El Clasico in like five years. The best teams in the world played together. Messi, Suarez and Neymar on Barcelona, against Bale, Benzema and Ronaldo on Real Madrid. Barca won the game with the good play. The match ended 2-1. Real Madrid also wanted the game but their energy wasn't enough.

The first goal came early and the scorer was Jeremy Mathieu. Then Real Madrid started to attack and they found the goal with Cristiano Ronaldo before the half time.

The second half was also exciting and Luis Suarez scored early in the second half and made the score 2-1. The last minutes were very good but Barca played well and won the game.
