    Kotak Soalan Fizik

    Kotak Soalan

Using mini-whiteboards to transform classroom practice

'here are three reasons I find them useful(.

    1. Whole-class feedback)ini!"hiteboards, on "hich the "hole class simultaneously"rites do"n the ans"er to a question, are a quick "ay of gauging "hether the class as a

"hole is getting your lesson. 'his method also satisfies the high!achie&ers "ho "ould

    normally stick their hands up.

    2. !e"eloping confidence. *uite a lot of students don+t like putting pen to paper. 'his is

especially true in maths "here there is usually a single right ans"er and, therefore, a high

risk of getting it "rong+. I+&e found students much more "illing to make a start on mini

boards because it+s easy to make corrections and "ipe out mistakes. Once they+&e

e-perimented, they can copy out the solution on paper.

#. #hecking indi"idual work. hen students complete the same task on mini boards, they

collaborate better by looking at "hat each other are "riting and it+s easy for me to see too.

'hey+re less afraid of someone pointing out a mistake because it+s quick to make corrections

    on the dry!erase surface.
