long.

Flowing westward across the peninsula through 3 provinces and through the city of Seoul to the Yellow Sea.

A valuable river transportation route since ancient times.

at the back and a river in front.

It is the first of the Five Grand Palaces constructed by the kings.

Cuisine Have their own food culture to suit their unique history and climate.

Feels strongly that food should be harmonized with natural spices and that balanced meals during the day are good for the health.

A typical Korean meal called "pekpan“ consists of rice, the staple of every Korean meal, soup and a great many side dishes, one of which is "kimchi”.

The food is arranged beautifully on the table.

Each person gets individual helpings of all of the dishes.

As many as 15-20 of the dishes are served together.

Chopsticks or spoons are used to eat.

Different regions have different regional favourites.
