Hot Tapping Need to tie into a line? Can’t shut it down? Hot tapping is the answer. A safe and economical way of connecting a new service
to an existing main line, with no loss of product, and no interruption of service. Hot taps can be performed on almost any type
of pipe, including steel, copper, CLMC, Asbestos Cement, Cast Iron, Ductile Iron, PVC, and others.
Line Stopping Need to replace a valve? Or a bad section of pipe? Maybe you need to re-route a section to accommodate site modifications.
Line stopping is the ultimate solution. By inserting a plugging device inside the line, the contents can temporarily be held back,
while you perform the necessary work downstream. By using a by-pass configuration, continuous flow of the contents can be
maintained, so the system can operate normally. Using folding-head technology, line stops can be performed even more
economically than ever before.
Pipe Freezing A cost-effective and non-intrusive method of holding back system pressure in a section of piping. Freeze chambers are installed
over a short section of piping and injected with liquid nitrogen or CO2. After careful monitoring, an ice plug is formed inside the pipe. The adhesion of ice to metal is incredible, and can hold enormous amounts of pressure, making it a preferred choice in
certain applications.
Valve Inserting Koppl Pipeline Services understands that in most cases, it is undesirable to stop the flow in the line or drain it completely in order to install a new valve. When a new valve needs to be installed, a valve insertion by a Koppl Pipeline technician is a quick
and simple solution. Using new technologies and equipment, a valve insertion is also a very cost effective solution for many applications. Only one excavation, quick installation, and immediate results.
