Wow! What an eventful week
the Serra Club had in just
seven days! I would like to
thank all the Serrans who at-
tended the events of last week, including the
Seminarian Picnic, the regular meeting and
induction of new members and the Rite of
Vows of our daughter, Sr. Mary Grace. I’m
sure that all the religious also appreciated
our support, as well as in the future. I be-
lieve we should attend more of
these types of ceremonies, since
that is truly what Serra Club is all
about. All of your dedication and
hard work is paying off in regards
to religious vocations. God Bless.

If you plan to buy SCRIP cards after church, please list
the beneficiary as SERRA CLUB. All proceeds will go
towards our scholarship fund to send high school youth
to Destination Jesus or The Call. The treasurer has
several cards to sell at our meetings, so you can also
purchase them at the next meeting.
New Members Inducted in Kokomo Serra Club Kokomo Serrans welcomed four new members on August 6th: Marge Sayers, Bruce & Lisa LeClerc and
Lisa Sipes. Chaplain for Serra Club, Fr. Tony Rowland, inducted the members in a candlelight ceremony.
We welcome the new members and look forward to working with them with their contributions to
promoting and fostering religious vocations. They each will be an attribute to the philosophy of our
club.
Please keep Serran
Sam Vent in your prayers.
Kokomo Serrans will provide the
Saturday lunches for the aspiring
Permanent Deacons in formation.
If you have not already signed up
to provide a food item for one of
the Saturdays, please contact
Mark and Madelyn Stanforth.

Serra Club is an organization with
three main objectives: to foster and
promote vocations to the priesthood in
the Catholic Church as a particular vocation
to service, and to support priests
in their sacred ministry; To encourage
and affirm vocations to consecrated
religious life in the Catholic Church; and
to assist its members in recognizing
and responding in their own lives to
God’s call to holiness in Jesus Christ
and through the Holy Spirit.
The Kokomo Serra Club meets on the
first Tuesday and attends mass together
on the third Sunday of every
month. Tuesday meetings are usually
held at St. Joan of Arc at 7:00 p.m. On
even months, we attend 9:00 a.m. mass
at St. Joan of Arc Church and on odd
months, we attend 8:00 a.m. mass at St.
Patrick Church. Our meetings involve a
program or guest speaker concerning
our Catholic faith.
Next Meeting: September 3rd.
