WHY MOVIES?Knox County Public Library began Movies on Market Square to highlight the breadth of its fi lm and music collection. In its 12th year, Movies on Market Square has become a family tradition on Friday nights in September & October. Thousands of people bring lawn chairs to the Square to enjoy an evening in front of the silver screen. The Library’s outdoor movie series draws people together to enjoy low-key fellowship and a night
of cinematic adventure.
PICK OF THE FLICKSAll family-friendly, you know the movies are going to be crowd pleasers because the community picked them. Starting in mid-August, movie-goers choose the line-up in our “Pick the Flicks” contest. All movies
are rated PG-13 or lower.
WE WANT YOU TO BE PART OF THIS EVENT. Not only will your name be associated with one of the biggest and most popular series on the Square, but your funding will help promote services and programs of Knox County Public Library.
